The projector production process needs to pack manufactured projectors. The key step of projector packing is to check whether the brand and model number of the projector is correct or not, for avoiding the projector’s packing error. To achieve automation of identifying projector brand and model number for improving the efficiency of the projector packing, we proposed an automatic identification method by using image processing, character recognition, and string matching. Specifically, image grayscale processing, image gradient calculation, morphological operations, and image thresholding are sequentially performed to determine candidate target regions located by a projector's brand and model number. Then, two shape prior-based image features are designed to perform target region screening, i.e., excluding fake target regions as far as possible. Next, the character recognition technology is used to extract the texts in the target regions. Finally, string matching is performed to obtain identification results of the projector's brand and model number. Experimental results on several projectors demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method on automatic identification of projector brand and model number. The proposed method provides a general framework for identifying the brand and model number of other similar electronic products. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

As for autonomous driving in urban environments, it is of significance to accurately capture the position and pose of vehicles. Those information can assist self-driving system in making right decisions to avoid potential risks. Currently, 3D point clouds captured by laser scanners are widely used in self-driving systems to sense the real environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a deep reinforcement learning framework for vehicle detection and pose estimation by using 3D point clouds. Specifically, to estimate the pose of vehicles, we propose to design a rotation action in Deep Q Network (DQN). In addition, by considering the whole detection procedure as Markov Decision Process (MDP), our intermediate detected results can further improve the detection performance of our proposed method. The evaluations are carried on outdoor point cloud scenes captured by VMX450 laser scanning system. The experimental results demonstrate the satisfied performance on vehicle detection and pose estimation. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In the electronic industry product quality control, PCB defect detection is a crucial part, which has the characteristics of small defect size and high similarity. The existing defect detection methods are still not good enough for detecting small target defects;therefore, the algorithm in this paper proposes an improved algorithm for PCB defect detection based on the RetinaNet model. The ResNet-D residual structure and efficient channel focus module are introduced in the model backbone network to enhance its feature extraction capability and achieve the purpose of improving the detection accuracy. At the same time, the method replaces the original multi-step learning decay strategy with a cosine annealing scheduling learning strategy, which optimizes the training process of the model. Finally, the performance of the method is verified on the publicly available PCB defect dataset from the Open laboratory of intelligent Robotics, Peking University. The experimental results show that the algorithm improves the mAP value by 3.2% compared with the original algorithm, while the fastest detection speed reaches 36.9 FPS, which can effectively improve the defect detection performance of PCB. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In the research of virtual hepatic surgery, the synthesis of hepatic texture space and the texture mapping of the hepatic body model are inseparable. Different methods for hepatic volume texture on the authenticity and mapping speed tend to have much difference. Based on computer unified device architecture (CUDA), this paper tries to present a texture synthesis and mapping method for the accelerating of hepatic body, which is used to solve the problem that traditional method under the hepatic volumetric texture synthesis and mapping process cost too much time. This new method may eliminate the traditional serial correlation of texture synthesis. What’s more, it may improve the efficiency of texture synthesis when the multithreading parallel processing for synthesis in the hepatic volumetric texture space in selecting and distributing blocks based on CUDA architecture. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

Redundant backup system is a common system in the real world, especially in aviation, electromechanics and other fields. Therefore, it is meaningful to give the parameter estimation of redundant systems. Previous research has given some results about the order and failure rate of the redundancy distributed redundant backup system, thus providing consumers with a computed and measurable product reliability calculation method. By using the irreplaceable censored life test, Providing a statistical significance of the estimation formula. However, the properties of estimation are not given and how to improve it. The study gives the estimation properties in probabilistic sense, which is asymptotic convergence in probability. Continue to improve the estimator on variance, so as to achieve asymptotic minimum consistent variance estimation. The single ball self-balancing mobile robot is a typical multivariable, high-order, nonlinear and static instability system, IMU inertial devices are generally used to obtain attitude parameters of the system. The data errors obtained by the inertial devices will accumulate over time, and the long-term pose estimation is rather unreliable. But for some quick motion over a short period of time, inertial sensors can get very accurate estimates. Monocular cameras are often used as image real-time monitoring sensors by single ball self-balancing mobile robots. The camera’s data does not accumulate errors over time, so there is essentially no drift. Therefore, camera pose estimation can effectively correct the inertial sensor error. In a fast-moving environment, the shutter-roller camera cannot capture the image clearly and there may be ghosting or overlapping of two areas too little, resulting in mismatched or unmatched conditions. So that the robot makes a wrong estimate. In this paper, the non-linear optimization method is used to fuse the IMU and monocular attitude data to obtain the optimal pose estimation of the robot. Based on the modeling of robot using Lagrange’s equation method, the control of single ball robot is realized by using fuzzy PID algorithm. Experiments show that this scheme can respond quickly to the change of the attitude of the ball self-balancing robot and keep the attitude of the robot relatively stationary, so that the robot can move steadily.

The technology of software-defined changing all areas of life, but the equipment storage system in the field of application is still in its infancy. At present, the traditional equipment warehousing scheduling system is difficult to meet the new needs of rapid scheduling and flexible maintenance of large quantities of equipment. Based on the development and application characteristics of software definition technology, this paper integrates the traditional equipment storage scheduling system and presents the research on the architecture design technology of equipment storage scheduling system under software definition technology. This paper clarifies the key application technologies of the system, realizes the design of new open system architecture based on software-defined technology and the optimization design of system center service platform architecture, and improves the architecture design ability of automation, configuration ability, and easy maintenance of the existing equipment storage scheduling system. Few-shot object detection aims to rapidly detect novel classes of objects using a minimal number of annotated instances. Compared to methods such as meta-learning, few-shot object detection based on transfer learning can achieve better performance. However, when training on base-class datasets, the model gradually improves its detection performance on base classes but does not enhance its generalization. A base-class model lacking generalization tends to result in lower detection performance for novel classes during fine-tuning. To address the aforementioned issues, this paper tackles the problem from two aspects: firstly, we introduce the Confusion-Dropblock Module (CDM) to perturb the model's features, thus enhancing feature generalization. Secondly, we incorporate Deformable Convolution Modules to mitigate the impact of object shapes and sizes on detection performance, thereby improving overall detection performance. Experimental results on the COCO dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, outperforming the compared methods. © 2023 IEEE.
