This paper presents possibilities for monitoring manmade surface deformation on example of two areas (Fig. 1): Upper Silesian Coal Basin and Lubelskie Coal Basin (Poland). Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images acquired by Sentinel-1A satellite are utilized in subsidence studies. Satellite radar interferometry technique (InSAR) was used to detecting and monitoring subsidence. There are clearly visible on obtained interferograms subsidence troughs as a distinctive concentric fringes. This study is a part of initiated the SSUMMO project (Surface Subsidence Multidisciplinary Monitoring). The project will provide multidisciplinary monitoring of mining areas and it will prepare the methodology and research software for continuous observation of the impact of exploitation on surface.

Recursive model of magnetotelluric, multicomponent data together with multichannel Kalman filtering method used to reduction of uncorrelated noise are discubed in this article. The short overview of the magnetotelluric method and its role in Earth structure recognition is presented. The most popular measurement method called the remote reference method is also discubed in the article. The nonstationary, discrete Kalman filter and its implementation to multichannel magnetotelluric data recorded in multi-site experiment are discubed with details. The practical examples of Kalman filter application to the real 3D data illustrate the merits of presented technique in connection with the influence of the filtering on impedance curves' estimation.

The concept of greenhouse is to create a controllable environment suitable for vegetation growth. By stabilizing environmental parameters including lighting, temperature, humidity, and soil moisture, the yield of vegetable and fruit can be effectively increased. Commonly, greenhouse is a non-open space and lighted with solar-like sources. The light source will emit infrared ray that can heat the room and cause loss water in soil. Automatically monitoring the parameters can not only save man power but also facilitate growing environment control. ZigBee with low cost, low power and long communication distance is an efficient wireless communication device widely used in home-network. In this paper, a simple ZigBee-based sensor network is proposed for the campus greenhouse monitoring with mobile device. The system consists of three modules, a mesh structure network, data processing center, and mobile application program (APP). The network involves three functional nodes and is responsible for sensed data delivering. These nodes are modularly designed. Considering self-healing, a simple network operation system that applies `token', data flow, and, hand shaking *** also built. There are three functions for the data processing center. The first is filtering received data and saving correct data in a database, the second is data analysis and control action, and the third serves the requests of mobile device. APP installed in mobile device is a simple function that enables remote monitoring for sensor status and environment parameters. The framework has been implemented for performance evaluation. The experimental results validate the feasibility of the new ZigBee-based transducer structure.

The work is focused on automatic detection of subsidences and uplifts from interferograms of satellite synthetic-Aperture radar (SAR) images. Interferograms are products obtained using satellite radar interferometry method like Differential Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (DInSAR). The problem is divided into two steps. In the first step, the quality of interferogram must be upgraded using special filters (e.g. median) with appropriate parameters. In the second step, ellipsoidal fringes that represent subsidences and uplifts should be automatically detected by a computer. In this step, both Hough transform and edge detection algorithms are used. Methods presented in this work should save time needed for manual detection of fringes and help find uplifts and subsidences that are not visible/detectable prior to filtrations.

The presented research focuses on standardization of information storage and proposed re-port standard. The work proposes construction of a data warehouse. The goal of the work is to enable the systematic storage of changes in points with many underground mines in a mining area an created functions that calculate terrain deformation indicators allowing effective abebment of the phenomenon.
