Geotourism is rapidly experiencing rapid growth in developing countries, such as Indonesia, and it is a component of sustainable tourism. In addition, the country has many areas of geodiversity in cities or towns that potentially can become urban geotourism destinations, such as the Bandung Basin area. This region is characterized by geological features, including young volcanic rocks surrounding the mountains, alluvial fans, and lake deposits at lower elevations extending from Rancaekek to the base of Mount Lagadar in the western part of the area. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the respective roles of stakeholders in urban geotourism development. The study used literature review and interview methodology, where data was interpreted with stakeholder analysis, and complemented by descriptive analysis. The results showed that stakeholders were divided into primary (quadrant 1), key (quadrant 2), and secondary (quadrant 3) categories, each with distinct interests and degree of influence. As urban tourism expands, it presents ongoing opportunities to cultivate sustainable practices within these locales. The establishment of urban geotourism necessitates the identification and evaluation of engaged stakeholders. The subsequent planning and management initiatives for the Bandung Basin area can be enhanced through the active participation of stakeholders. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Mount Lasem is an extinct volcano in Central Java. Based on field work, five continuous central lava eruption sequences were identified. The rocks sampled from those lava units were classified as andesite which exhibit sign of magma mixing based on textural features from optical microscopy observation. Morphotectonic is geomorphological characteristic as response of tectonic. Watershed morphometric may reflect tectonic conditions of a region. Parameters of morphometric and morphotectonic can be an indicator of the activity of a fault. Active fault is a tectonic trace that can be a source of seismicity in the area of land. The southern part of West Java is dominated by Quaternary volcanic products. These materials are generally unstable, especially when affected by fault. Some areas in the southern part of West Java regionally controlled by Quaternary faulting. The movement of this fault can be triggered by the subduction activity in the south of Java Island. This study aims to determine the role morphotectonic characteristics as indicators of the presence of active faults in the region of the Southern part of Cianjur and Garut. The result is expected to be useful to help the community and the government in anticipation of a crisis when geological disasters occur as an impact of the active faults. Systematic research based on the mindset that past geological events, along with its development can produce a typical landforms. Lineament of the landslide zone is assumed to be associated with active fault lines that can be reflected by the specific characteristics of morphotectonic and lithology. Digital analysis of satellite imagery used to determine the distribution of lineament and landslide zones. Probabilistic approach is used in the data analysis. The study was conducted in five watersheds, i.e. Cisadea, Cipandak, Cilayu, Cikandang, and Cikaingan. The results showed that there was a tectonic control in watersheds of Cipandak, Cilayu, and Cikaingan. Meanwhile, tectonic control in the watersheds of Cisadea and Cikandang occurred in a specific location. This phenomenon is reflected by the unique shape of the three watersheds. The stability of mining slopes, especially on tin minerals, has different criteria than other minerals. The safety factor that becomes the reference value of the stable slope of the mine can also reflect the movement of the land (Lubis, 2012 in Wijayanti, 2015). In processing these FK values often do not take into account that all parameters have equal oppurtunity to represent those parameters (Azizi, 2012). The probability method is a way of anlyzing the risk of mining slopes by including several parameters including wet density, dry density, cohesi and friction angle. The research aims to get FK and PK values that are stable and efficient to be mined because the smaller than the slope is opened, the smaller the tin mineral recovery and the higher the stability of the slope and vice versa. To get the value of FK and PK need to do slope analysis with limit equilibrium method and probability method then modeled with Slide V.6.0 software and calculation with Excel program. Data processing is from 4 drill points found that GT-01 with value FK > 1,3 indicating that the slope safe and movement of soil can occur and get value PK 0,5 - 0,6 %. For GT-02, GT-03 and GT-04 obtained unsafe slope results so optimization is necessary. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is a representation of the actual landform based on elevation. DEM is part of the technological sophistication that is very helpful in planning, mapping, and surveying. This study applies DEM, which is constructed from DEMNAS, focusing on DEM optimization for geological structures *** applied method is ellipsoid stress model analysis approach to determine the type of structure. The scope of this study is located in North Manna Sub-Basin, tectonically is a basin that formed on Paleogen by an extensional force that forms half-graben along the Bengkulu Shelf. Interpretation of DEM in the study area showed the existence of 10 lineament patterns of NE-SW and five NNE-SSW patterns, controlled by normal fault, nine lineament patterns of NW-SE and six WNW-ESE patterns, controlled by a thrust fault and fold. Field observation using direct measurement method obtained by four faults with NE-SW and NNE-SSW pattern, one fault and four folds with NW-SE pattern,three faults and two folds with WNW-ESE trending pattern. This indicates that the accuracy level of DEM in the study area reaches 90%. The geological structure that is still active, certainly requires special attention in building construction. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

Bora area have a mineralization system associated with geothermal activity, characterized by the presence of veins in the rock. This study aims to determine the indication of ore mineral. The method that used in this research is geological field survey and mineragraphic analysis. The results showed that the vein texture in the study area was in the form of crustiform-colloform, moss, and zoned crystal textures. Mineragraphic analysis results show the mineral content of ore associated with veins in the rock including pyrite, chalcopyrite and covelite. This proves that indication ore mineral in bora area is associated with the veins formed in the rock. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The Sawahtambang Sandstone Formation of Sawahlunto, Indonesia has hitherto never been studied in detail to ascertain its depositional processes and its palaeoenvironment. The Sawahtambang Sandstone has more than 394 m thickness which consists of conglomeratic sandstone, sandstone, and clay-silt intercalation within which six lithofacies types (St, Sp, Sh, Ss, Fl, and Fm) appear creating iterated fining upward sequence. Herewith, this paper aims to replenish the avantgarde sedimentological interpretation of the Sawahtambang Sandstone in the intermontane basin of Indonesia based on outcrops along the Trans-Sumatra Highway. The study is attained through facies identification based on stratigraphic measuring section or outcrop profile, studio analysis consists of log analysis and superposition reconstruction, and architectural element delineation according to facies association. Structures in clay-silt facies consist of lamination and fissile whereas in the sand grained include planar and trough cross-bedding, planar lamination and granule lag, which depicts a lower-flow-regime sand channel. The architectural elements that made from facies association are identified into five distinct elements (multi-storey channel, single storey channels, sand bedforms, laminated sand sheet, and floodplain fines), which present a fluvial environment. The relation of the architectural elements demonstrates that the Sawahtambang Sandstone uphold a record of the braided river system that flowed from southwest to northeast in the southwestern part of Ombilin Basin. The dominance of coarse-grained (channel and sandy bedform) element over clay-silt grained (laminated sand sheet and floodplain fines) element and the extensive appearance of thick amalgamated channel elements reinforce the interpretation of a low-sinuous braided fluvial system in which the stacking pattern shows the channel bodies accumulated both lateral via lateral accretion of point bar and via vertical amalgamated streams.

The Nanggulan Formation is a formation unit consisting of sandstone, clay, and other sedimentary rocks. Lithological contact between clay and geologically old andesite could indicate an avalanche. The magnetic method in collecting data uses a natural magnetic source with a proton magnetometer. Acquisition data was determined according to the survey design, namely a grid with a distance of 250 meters per point. Data processing to remove noise data, namely noise from magnetic storms, position and altitude, and other natural disturbances. Later, Processing will produce a magnetic anomaly map, which must be separated between local and regional anomalies. This local anomaly will later form the basis for 2.5-dimensional modeling. This 2.5-dimensional modeling can get an overview of lithology, relationships between lithologies, and rock contacts according to the geological model in the field. The modeling results can describe the relationship between the claystone of the Nanggulan Formation and the igneous rocks of the Old Andesite Formation. Its relationship claystone is overlapping Andesite rocks in the Horgorejo Kulon Progo area. This can cause soil movement and landslides if the Andesite rocks experience massive weathering and erosion and if rainfall is high. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A pilot Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project in Indonesia is planned to be implemented in Gundih area, Central Java Province in Indonesia. Prior to conducting CO2 injection, reservoir characterisations have to study thoroughly to assure that the reservoir is to meet with CCS standard requirements. The Jepon well in the Gundih fied was proposed as a suitable site for CO2 injection. The decision was made to proceed with a comprehensive site assessment and geological modelling of the Jepon area. This site was selected based on the reason the presence of a potentially suitable reservoir (Ngrayong Sandstone) and primary and secondary seals (Bulu Limestone and Wonocolo claystone). Using logging data, petrophysics and rock physics model are used to evaluate potential of the CO2 injection site. Permeability results from petrophysics calculations and recent injection tests show very small;whilst porosity is relatively high. This can be caused by fractures mostly are not connected. Hence, rock physics for the reservoir is evaluated and modelled as anisotropy or Vertical Tranverse Isotropy (VTI) in which fractures with preferred orientation. Stiffness calculations for VTI medium with different aspect ratio shows consistent with low permeability result. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

The research area is one of the areas that have potential of hydrothermal deposit mineralization in Pacitan regency. This research aims to identify the presence of hydrothermal deposit mineralized zones through geophysical exploration by using induced polarization method in the study area. The induced polarization method is used to obtain anomalies in the form of contrast of resistivity and chargeability values in the study area. The results showed that the mineralized zones of hydrothermal deposit in the study area were characterized by significant anomaly contrast with the intensity of medium-high (> 100 Ωm) resistivity values associated with medium-value chargeability (20-50 ms). The association of resistivity and other chargeability values shows an intense alteration zone around the metal mineral deposits zone in the subsurface. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.
