This paper describes how to use Sharable Content Object Reference Model 2004 and other Advanced Distributed Learning training methodologies to 1) establish methods for combining Computer Based Training and simulation Based Training and 2) establish hybrid architecture mechanisms for the synergy of Sharable Content Object Reference Model-compliant Learning Content Management Systems, including the new Experience Application Programming Interface, and High Level Architecture-Distributed Interactive simulation compliant Learning Management Systems. Accomplishing the first objective will determine effective strategies and techniques for combining Computer Based Training and simulation Based Training. Accomplishing the second objective will show effective and efficient architecting strategies and tradeoffs for combining Sharable Content Object Reference Model-compliant and High Level Architecture/Distributed Interactive simulation-compliant Learning Management Systems including the new Experience Application Programming Interface. Both objectives were met in the accomplishment of this demonstration. The first objective of linking and tracing task learning for computer-based and simulation-based training was achieved using the "chat room" simulation. Likewise, the second objective of showing effective and efficient strategies accurately and successfully employed the Experience Application Programming Interface schema and specifications. More research is recommended in this objective to broaden the concept using more examples from other domains.

The advent of computing in simulation brings in many new facets to enable training and education to occur in a faster and compatible process. The authors have developed a framework that shows the ability to link simulations via a simulation neutral language. In order to instantiate this process and make it real, the authors will demonstrate an application for the use of SNL in a specific context and example. The SNL employed are C-BML and MSDL. C-BML accounts for missions, tasks, and other activities taking place in a simulation event, while MSDL lays the foundation of scenario data elements that describe the entities, environment and components. The example is the use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) in an air tasking order for a close air support mission. By illustration and discussion, the authors will demonstrate the utility of MSDL and C-BML as actual SNL's in an operational air force simulation exercise. Additionally, if there are gaps in MSDL or C-BML, the authors will point those out and request that they be incorporated into the next version of the respective specification.

China is the largest developing economy and carbon dioxide emitter in the world,the carbon neutrality goal of which will have a profound influence on the mitigation pathway of global climate *** transition towards a carbon-neutral society is integrated into the construction of ecological civilization in China,and brings profound implications for China’s socioeconomic ***,we not only summarize the major challenges in achieving carbon neutrality in China,but also identify the four potential new opportunities:namely,the acceleration of technology innovations,narrowing regional disparity by reshaping the value of resources,transforming the industrial structure,and co-benefits of pollution and carbon ***,we provide five policy suggestions and highlight the importance of balancing economic growth and carbon mitigation,and the joint efforts among the government,the enterprises,and the residents.

Objectives: The 12-item Self-Compassion Scale–Short Form (SCS–SF) is a widely used instrument for the assessment of self-compassion. To date, there have been few examinations of this instrument’s psychometric properties, particularly across nations and languages. Therefore, we used data from the Body Image in Nature Survey (BINS) to assess measurement invariance of the SCS–SF across nations, languages, gender identities, and age groups. Methods: Participants (N = 56,968) from 65 nations completed the SCS–SF in 40 languages. Using these data, we tested various hypothesised models of the SCS–SF in the total sample and, using multi-group confirmatory factor analysis, tested for invariance of the optimal model across national groups, languages, gender identities, and age groups. Results: In the total dataset, we found that an 11-item, 2-factor model (i.e., SCS-11) provided best fit to the data, with the two factors tapping distinct constructs of compassionate and uncompassionate self-responding. The SCS-11 was found to be partially scalar invariant across national groups and languages, and fully scalar invariant across gender identities and age groups. There was wide variation in latent means for the two factors, particularly across national groups and languages. Further analyses showed negligible associations between the two factors and sociodemographic variables, including marital status, financial security, and urbanicity. Conclusions: Our results suggest that it may be possible to derive a stable 2-factor model of the SCS–SF for use in cross-cultural research, but also highlight the likelihood of cross-national and cross-linguistic variations in the way that self-compassion is understood. © The Author(s) 2025.
