This research presents the design and analysis of a mutual impedance-fed linear array tailored for Intelligent Transportation Systems Vehicle-to-Everything (ITS-V2X) applications. The proposed antenna array aims to facilitate reliable and high-speed communication among vehicles and infrastructure, crucial for enhancing road safety and traffic efficiency. The array configuration utilizes mutual impedance feeding technique to achieve improved impedance matching and radiation characteristics. Through extensive simulations and measurements, the antenna array demonstrates promising performance metrics suitable for V2X communications. Notably, the array achieves a gain value of 9.2 dBi and directivity values ranging from 7.5 dBi to 10.3 dBi across the operating frequency band, ensuring robust signal transmission and reception capabilities. The design considerations, including element spacing, mutual impedance feeding network, and array geometry optimization, are discussed in detail. Moreover, the antenna's compact form factor and ease of integration make it suitable for deployment in various vehicular environments. The presented mutual impedance-fed linear array holds significant potential for advancing ITS-V2X communication systems, contributing to safer and more efficient transportation infrastructures. The study provides practical guidance for deploying MIF antennas in real-world V2X environments, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of V2X communication systems for improving road safety and traffic efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

Cancer remains a major contributor to mortality rates across the globe, causing nearly 10 million fatalities in 2020. Among all cancer types, breast cancer has the highest incidence, around 2.26 million cases reported across the globe by the World Health Organization. In the last few years, breast cancer was diagnosed in approximately 2.3 million people and caused around 685,000 deaths. In this paper, our investigation entails executing a statistical scrutiny of the worldwide proliferation of breast cancer, as well as delving into various machine learning and deep learning techniques for detecting breast cancer, along with their constraints and intricacies. Additionally, we have proposed a hybrid Machine Learning (ML) approach for detecting breast cancer with utmost accuracy, which streamlines the assessment procedure presently employed by radiologists in screening mammograms.

DNA microarrays can simultaneously measure the expression level of thousands of gene within a particular mRNA sample that provide information about the state of cells and tissues. Though these expressive values are useful in cancer classification, and understand the mechanisms involved in the genesis of disease processes, however, only a few genes out of these thousands of genes contribute towards disease classification. On this basis, usage of feature selection algorithm is favourable, as the main goal of feature selection algorithm is to identify the relevant features (here genes) efficiently. In this paper, we have applied four filter Feature Selection (FS) methods, namely, Mutual Information (MI), Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC), Chi 2 , ReliefF along with three well-known classifiers, namely, Random Forest (RF), Decision Tree (DT), and K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) on six microarray datasets (both binary and multi-class) namely, Leukemia, Lung, Lymphoma and Leukemia, Gastric, SRBCT and Childhood Tumor and recorded the accuracies.

Although agriculture is a substantial part of the Indian economy, it encounters several challenges. Precision agri-culture is a farming management strategy that aims to overcome these challenges. It optimizes several components of the farming process using data and technology, resulting in increased crop yields while reducing waste and raising total resource use effi-ciency. Thus, in its context, we present a study on the development of a Federated Learning-based Agricultural Network consisting of a popular federated learning algorithm FedAvg to perform image classification on an open dataset, Plant Village. In this work, we specifically analyze the performance of the proposed Federated Learning-based Agricultural Network in terms of its scalable deployment. The proposed network yields an average classification accuracy of 97.52 % on test data (C ≈ 70), and provides a host of other benefits it derives from its federated nature, such as upholding the privacy of local client data as only the model updates are shared between the clients and the aggregation server. The prime objective of our work has been to study and explore the possibility of applying federated learning in the agriculture sector so that more efficient and privacy- preserving smart farming networks could be developed. © 2024 IEEE.

Many animal and plant species have become extinct or at the verge of extinction in the last few decades due to unplanned activity and indiscriminate use of biological resources. The disappearance of such species has potential impact on the ecological system. Thus the extinction status of rare and endangered species is getting importance so that conservation policy can be framed in order to maintain the ecological balance. In this paper we formulate a process of determining two important extinction related issues viz. probability of extinction and time to extinction. Discrete Time Markov Chain model is utilized to find the time to extinction and probability of extinction. A particular prey-predator model is taken under consideration to justify the theoretical findings by simulation process. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2021.

Time Complexity is an important metric to compare algorithms based on their cardinality. The commonly used, trivial notations to qualify the same are the Big-Oh, Big-Omega, Big-Theta, Small-Oh, and Small-Omega Notations. All of them, consider time a part of the real entity, i.e., Time coincides with the horizontal axis in the argand plane. But what if the Time rather than completely coinciding with the real axis of the argand plane, makes some angle with it? We are trying to focus on the case when the Time Complexity will have both real and imaginary components. For Instance, if T (n) = n log n, the existing asymptomatic notations are capable of handling that in real time But, if we come across a problem where, T (n) = n log n+i·n2, where, i = 2√−1, the existing asymptomatic notations will not be able to catch up. To mitigate the same, in this research, we would consider proposing the Zeta Notation (ζ), which would qualify Time in both the Real and Imaginary Axis, as per the Argand Plane. © 2023, CC BY.

Drastically changes in climate conditions reflect an unpredictable behavior of weather which becomes a real problem in daily life. The conventional forecasting model reports some inaccurate forecasts due to noncompliance with the climatic dynamicity. This paper proposed an improved solution for weather monitoring using low-cost GPS-enabled IOT devices, connected with different sensors. The sensed information is stored in the server to predict the weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, etc. of any defined application region of interest. Here, some soft computing tools like SVM, KNN, DNN, Ridge, Linear Regression, and ANN have been explored on these weather parameters and establishes a correlation between conditions in a prescribed geographical location for upcoming days. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents the dynamic modeling of split-shaft microturbine generator (MTG) system. The studied model is consists of two proportional-integral-differential (PID) controllers, one is used as speed-controller while the other is as load-following controller. The gains of both the controllers have been optimized using a metaheuristic optimization algorithm named teaching learning based optimization (TLBO) for steady-state active power generation at nominal frequency. The parameters of both the controllers of the studied MTG system have been also optimized for both standalone and grid-connected modes of operations. The performance of the MTG system has been studied and analyzed for variable load demand conditions under standalone as well as grid-connected modes of operations. The study proves the capability of the split-shaft MTG system to generate electrical power at a nominal frequency under both the considered mode of operations. © 2021 IEEE.
