The point of Agile Methodology is continuous improvement, delivering a small feature quickly without sacrificing the feature quality;every sprint must be better than the previous sprint, and better can be fewer bugs, faster development, and testing. We will present how we reduce production bugs by customizing our sprint iteration. As we know, bugs are unavoidable, there is no software engineer that can make software without a bug;however, we can reduce bugs in production if we can find bugs in lower environments as early as possible. The case study in this paper was taken from one of technology company in Indonesia, the activity was done by the Quality Engineer (QA) Team. We will show that shift-left testing can help us reduce bugs in production. Testing is part of agile methodology, and the main idea of shift-left testing is to move testing early and could be done by any team member, not only QA. We include shift-left testing in our agile methodology for one year in 2022 and compare the result in the previous year. © 2023 IEEE.

Applications designed utilizing Microservices Architecture (MSA) provide the desirable trait of good maintainability. To ensure optimal maintainability, it is important to provide services that are suitable and adhere to prescribed rules. Multiple aspects must be taken into account while designing services to ensure optimal maintainability. The objective of this study is to examine the elements that impact the capacity to sustain and improve maintainability in service design, ultimately resulting in an application that possesses strong maintainability. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) will be utilized to identify variables and strategies for their enhancement, by examining pertinent publications on the subject. After examining 45 publications, the study discovered 8 elements and 14 solutions that can enhance the highlighted parameters throughout the services design process. The outcomes of this systematic literature review (SLR) are anticipated to give valuable insights to application developers, empowering them to generate service designs that exhibit commendable maintainability for the developed applications. © 2023 IEEE.

Addressing multiple criteria and parameter issues in computer modelling presents a significant challenge. Several factors including data types, parameter behaviours, and purposes, must be taken into account to enhance computer modelling capability;particularly in evaluation cases. Through the utilization of a multi-criteria and method approach, a decision model was effectively developed to assess a case of environmental sustainability level of a building. One method operated in the study is the curve method for handling membership function form in realizing fuzzy logic. This innovative model demonstrates superior performance. It achieves an impressive accuracy rate of 96%, surpassing the previous model that employed a trapezoidal approach to describe fuzzy membership functions hy 1%. © 2023 IEEE.

Analyzing the impact of fuel price increases in Indonesia is crucial for making informed strategic decisions. This paper presents a smart fuzzy decision model aimed at predicting changes in household spending in response to fuel price fluctuations. The model utilizes fuzzy logic as its main method, enabling it to capture the intricate relationships between household spending and fuel prices. In addition, the proposed model incorporates various factors that can potentially influence household spending. By simulating prediction results under different fuel price increments ranging from 0% to 30%, the model provides valuable insights for policymaking concerning fuel pricing and offers strategies to mitigate the impact of fuel price fluctuations on household welfare. © 2023 IEEE.

The agricultural activities in the Vocational School of Agricultural Engineering (ESTVA) in Timor-Leste requires large quantities of water with high availability for the production and cultivation of plants. However, the crop results sometimes decrease due to challenges problem faced by the management of the water resources. This study aims to design an Internet of Things (IoT) based automatic control system to control water supply and maintain soil moisture conditions effectively. The evaluation of manual and automatic irrigation systems during the 21 days trial shows that the automatic system provides stable utilization of water with watering frequency of 274 occurs only in 12 days, with an amount of total watering of 35.3 L. Meanwhile, the manual system uses up to 49.8 L of water, which is 14.5 L more than the water spent by the automatic system. The results of the evaluation also indicate that automatic system obtains the average moisture value of 509 with a standard deviation of 63, which is smaller than the manual system that obtains an average moisture value of 559 and a significant standard deviation of 126. From these results, the automatic system is more effective in maintaining the soil moisture level and yet requires less water compared to the manual watering system. Furthermore, the quality and productivity of the growth of mustard seedlings with automatic system prove that the seeds are more stable and feasible to continue transplanting since the automatic system produces 12 more mustard trees compared to the manual system. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Insurance claim is a fascinating issue to study. A potential loss for the insurance company is major coming from this issue. Thus, many studies performed already to answer such an issue. This study takes aim to develop a computational decision model based on service technology. Four fundamental methods operated in constructing the model and its implementation in service technology. The analytical hierarchical process (AHP) and fuzzy logic methods are two methods benefited to construct the model;where the AHP used to prioritize thirteen parameters considered and the fuzzy logic with its inference capability operated to generate the decision. Object oriented is an analysis and design method to analyze and design the model implanting it in service oriented architecture (SOA). Then, SOA conception functioned to deploy the model in the service architecture. Ultimately, the suggested framework comprising three layers of service-oriented architecture (SOA), namely business process, service interface, and application, has been established, alongside the integration of eight essential services that connect these three applications. The model demonstrates simulation outcomes indicating that 31.47% of claims are categorized as low risk and have been approved, 17.64% of claims are considered moderate risk with currently pending decision status (requiring additional investigation), while 50.89% of claims are classified as high risk with also pending decision status. © 2023 IEEE computer Society. Electrical energy is one of the most important human needs. Almost all human work requires electrical energy. Lack of electricity may hinder human activities. Therefore, it is important to maintain the availability of the electrical energy. This paper explores a way to reduce waste of electricity use through the implementation of the Internet of things (IoT). We introduce an IoT system that expands the function of the internet that allows us to control household appliances properly and efficiently, enabling us to monitor the cost of usage every month. The proposed system is implemented at the Campus Academy computer Management and Informatics (AMKI) Ketapang to control and monitor lights in the computer Laboratory and Terrace Campus. This system utilizes Raspberry Pi 3, LDR sensors, Relays, and software like PHP and Raspbian Linux. The evaluation results have shown that the proposed IoT system has reduced the monthly cost of electricity. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

This study discusses the development of smart precision farming systems using big data and cloud-based intelligent decision support systems. Big data plays an important role in collecting, storing, and analyzing large amounts of data from various sources related to agriculture, including data from weather stations, soil sensors, satellite imagery, crop yield records, pest and disease reports, and other sources. This study highlights the differences between smart farming and precision farming. This study describes key techniques and system architecture, including data collection, processing, analysis, and decision support components. Utilizing a cloud platform enables scalability and optimized performance, which lowers costs and makes it safer and easier to manage. The integration of big data and Alibaba cloud computing in smart precision farming can improve farming productivity by providing timely information and recommendations to farmers for better decision-making. Finally, the system produces smart precision farming, which provides cost-effective real-Time monitoring and predictive analytics to increase agricultural production and sustainability. © 2023 IEEE.

The measurement of information security risk in a public sector organization is of utmost importance. This measurement serves the purpose of taking appropriate actions in response to potential risks or damaging incidents. The objective of this study is to develop a straightforward yet smart decision model capable of evaluating risks, particularly within the public sector organization. The decision support modelling (DSM) concept is employed as a framework to construct a computer model that supports decision-making in a specific case. The study comprises five stages, which are integral parts of the DSM process. These stages include analyzing the case, examining relevant documents, designing the model, constructing the model, and evaluating the finalized model. The object-oriented method serves as a fundamental approach to model design. Additionally, the fuzzy logic method, an intelligent computational technique, plays a central role in the development of this decision model. The proposed model demonstrates an average error value of 0.05 when compared to the actual risk measurement conducted. Furthermore, it reveals average risk values of 0.59 and 0.45 for the pre-and post-remediation scenarios, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

The technique of calculating the work required for software development is known as software development estimation. The objective cost estimating technique for organizing and carrying out Multi Account Partner (MAP) software projects, COCOMO II, was employed in this study. The MAP software is a software architecture designed to support brokerage cryptocurrency exchanges using the order book and liquidity of established crypto exchanges. This research uses data sets from MAP project development at Indonesia Crypto Exchange Platform. It aims to create a software cost estimation model for MAP software using COCOMO II so that the resulting estimation model can be used as input or reference for estimates of subsequent MAP software development. The result estimated that MAP software finished in about four to five months, with a price range for software development of $7,441 to $8,780. Further research is needed with datasets from other crypto exchanges tested to increase cost estimation accuracy using COCOMO II. © 2023 IEEE.
