The long COVID-19 pandemic has limited the activities of Ruang Publik Terpadu Ramah Anak (RPTRA) such as environment cleaning, repair of RPTRA infrastructure, learning and others, as well as the lack of public awareness about the existence and importance of RPTRA to the public and foreign tourists encouraging the RPTRA to make changes in the dissemination of information about the activities carried out in the RPTRA through the use of technology to survive and grow even during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The methodology used in this research is Group Discussion Forum with the administrators of the RPTRA Maya ASRI 13 to learn about the needs and expectations of the RPTRA administrators regarding the web portal to be built. Then, the implementation of the conceptual model, development, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the RPTRA information web portal was carried out. The contribution in this research is to implement a conceptual model on the information portal built on the platform of the Website with the PHP framework, which is then evaluated on the results of the pre-test and post-test about RPTRA the Wilcoxon-Signed Rank Test to test the effectiveness of the information web portal for general users. The results obtained from these tests indicate that the RPTRA Information Web Portal can help the public learn more about the existence of RPTRA Maya Asri 13. © 2022 The Authors. This paper evaluates the QoE of video and audio transmission over a full-duplex wireless LAN with interference traffic through a computer simulation and a subjective experiment. We employ a simulation environment with a pair of audiovisual transmission and reception terminals and a pair of interference traffic transmission and reception ones. We investigate the effect of the transmission rate of interference traffic and communication distance in a wireless channel on the output quality of the video and audio stream at the reception terminal. We perform a subjective experiment with the output timing of video and audio obtained by the simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper investigates the effect of bitrate control methods on QoE of multi-view video and audio streaming with MPEG-DASH. We adopt three bitrate control methods for conventional single-view video streaming to the MVV-A system with MPEG-DASH. We conduct a subjective experiment changing available network bandwidth and investigate the effect of the methods on QoE. © 2023 IEEE.

The university admission process can be overwhelming for applicants and admission officers, with many questions being asked and answered every year. The manual classification of these questions can be time-consuming and may lead to errors, making exploring automated solutions to this problem essential. In recent years, advances in natural language processing (NLP), including question classification. The research proposes an architecture for a question classification system using the Indonesian Language in closed-domain question answering. The purpose of this research is to find out the classification of questions. We created a system with the Named-Entity Recognition method to recognize the next word that will be used as a candidate type of question and candidate answer. The type of question used is a factoid question. Research makes patterns and rules for extracting important words as features to determine the taxonomy of question classification. Datasets are collected from one private university in Indonesia. Data sources from Binus Online Learning websites and data on questions frequently asked by users, especially prospective students. The results of the question classification are presented using descriptive statistics. The results show that the question classification with users' most frequent question type is 'What' by 63.3%, and the answer category is 'tuition fees' by 22.4%. It can be concluded that the most frequent question type asked by users is 'What', and the most frequent topic of interest is 'tuition fees'. Organizations can use this information to improve customer service by providing more relevant information and resources about tuition fees. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) has been deployed for power demand distribution and energy saving, and correspondingly traditional watt-hour meters installed in apartments and industrial sites are also being replaced with AMIs. Accordingly, power demand prediction using AMIs will become increasingly important to save electrical energy consumption. In this paper, we develop various deep learning-based electricity consumption prediction models using simple neural networks, convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, and encoder-decoder-based generative models. To build prediction models, we use average power demand data collected from various home smart meters. Experimental results show that the generative model outperforms other deep learning-based models in terms of mean squared error, and we roughly explain why the generative model is better than other models by examining the activation layer output distributions. © 2022 Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers. The growing number of medical images has led to radiologist burnout, which seriously impacts the radiologist's performance. To address the previously mentioned issue, an Auxiliary Signal Guided Knowledge (ASGK) multimodal encoder-decoder framework was designed to automatically generate the medical report based on the proposed medical graph and natural language decoder. It utilizes DenseNet-121 as the image encoder. With DenseNet-121 lack of computational and memory efficiency, this study aims to explore the potential of EfficientNetB0 to EfficientNetB4 as an ASGK image encoder substitute. The framework is trained with IU X-Ray dataset for 30 epochs, with Adam optimizer, a learning rate of 0.01 with 0.8 decay rate, binary cross entropy loss for the medical tags, and cross-entropy loss for the generated medical captions. During the framework training process with each image encoder, the parameter that achieves the highest CIDEr score on the validation set is considered the best image encoder parameter and will be used on the test set. On the test set, EfficientNetB3 as an ASGK image encoder has been shown to increase the CIDEr score to 0.35, a significant increase from the 0.28 CIDEr score obtained by the ASGK using DenseNet-121. This score is only a 1% decrease from the best validation score. It suggests that not only EfficientNetB3 increases the framework's performance, it is also less prone to overfitting. This study has demonstrated that EfficientNetB3 is a potential image encoder substitute for DenseNet-121 in the ASGK framework. © 2024 The Authors.

The voice patterns of gender and age have been used as speaker's identity and implied into sectors such as smart cards, healthcare, banking, and other security access controls. However, age, illness, and ambient noise factors exist challenging issues of voice changes in speech recognition systems to be resolved. This paper presents experiment results of observing those issues, and its goal was obtaining the elements of voice features to secure the speaker's identity. Mel-frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) was used to conduct observations on spectral centroid and bandwidth, it has effectively performed capturing features of individual speech signal. The experiment was conducted with data split into three groups: under 13, range 13 to 19, and above 19 years old for both male and female. The results showed that both gender under 13 have centroid voices reached to 98%, age of 13 to 19 remain with centroid reached 98% of bandwidth for male and passing over 100% for female, then above 19 for both genders speak lower with centroid 50% of bandwidth, and male above age of 19 remains to keep centroid about 50% and female changes to 95%. MFCC fits to expose the speech spectrum for the purpose of an analysis frame on specific local spectral properties of voices, and the finding is to form a security line or an individual profiling adoption. © 2022 IEEE.

Transformer models, originally successful in natural language processing, are now being applied to chemical and biological studies, excelling in areas such as molecular property prediction, material science, and drug discovery. BERT, a Transformer-based model, has become foundational in cheminformatics, particularly for QSAR (Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship) modeling and ADMET (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity) evaluations in drug discovery. However, achieving higher accuracy often requires designing more complex models, which can compromise their interpretability. This posing a challenge for researchers who need to understand the reasoning behind the predictions. The trade-off between accuracy and interpretability presents a critical challenge in applying black box models to real-world problems in cheminformatics. This work compares Transformer-based models with traditional machine learning and deep learning approaches, focusing on both interpretability and performance. The goal is to highlight the strengths and limitations of each method, offering insights into their optimal use in drug discovery and material science. © 2024 IEEE.

Single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis has become a pivotal strategy for drug discovery within bioinformatics, especially for incurable diseases like cancer. With the increasing number of researchers starting to embrace metaheuristic methods, a review was done by gathering papers from the Google Scholar database from 2018 to 2023, which resulted in 20 papers after title, abstract, and content filtering. The findings show that the Genetic Algorithm and the Harmony Search Algorithm have become popular approaches in SNP analysis, particularly in studies on breast cancer, age-related macular degeneration, and colorectal cancer. However, the review shows that while researchers have proven most methods effective in finding disease-related SNPs, a more measurable study in SNP analysis is needed, due to the lack of elaboration on measurement metrics in the found studies. © 2024 IEEE.

Segmentation is manually performed by physicians, which takes considerable time and may be subject to observers. Automating this task can increase efficiency and consistency. Existing studies on meningioma segmentation used data from limited study centers, indicating the need for research on multi-center data to assess generalizability. In this work, two semi-automated methods with bounding box priors, LiteMedSAM and BBU-Net, are evaluated on the brain tumor segmentation (BraTS) 2023 meningioma dataset collected from five study-centers. Preprocessing included exclusion of small tumors, z-score normalization, and extraction of slices that contain tumors, generating 25,602 2D axial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. A fine-tuning strategy is adopted for LiteMedSAM while BBU-Net is trained from scratch. The models are evaluated using a five-fold cross-validation, with data split at the case level. Results show that while U-Net models can achieve performance close to LiteMedSAM, the foundation model has overall better performance, with more than 90% in all evaluation scores. © 2024 The Authors.
