Control Method of Effect of Robust Optimization in Multi-Player Multi-Objective Decision-Making

In the real situations of supply chain, there are different parts such as facilities, logistics warehouses and retail stores and they handle common kinds of products. In this research, these situations are focused on as the background of this research. They deal with the common quantities of their products, but due to their different environments, the optimal production quantity of one part can be unacceptable to another part and it may suffer a heavy loss. To avoid that kind of unacceptable situations, the common production quantities should be acceptable to all parts in one supply chain. Therefore, the motivation of this research is the necessity of the method to find the production quantities that make all decision makers acceptable is needed. However, it is difficult to find the production quantities that make all decision makers acceptable. Moreover, their acceptable ranges do not always have common ranges. In the decision making of car design, there are similar situations to this type of decision making. The performance of a car consists of purposes such as fuel efficiency, size and so on. Improving one purpose makes another worse and the relationship between these purposes is tradeoff. In these cases, Suriawase process is applied. This process consists of negotiations and reviews of the requirements of the purposes. In the step of negotiations, the requirements of the purposes are share among all decision makers and the solution that makes them as satisfied as possible. In the step of reviews of the requirements, they are reviewed based on the result of the negotiation if the result is unacceptable to some of decision makers. Therefore, through the iterations of the two steps, the solution that makes all decision makers satisfied is obtained. An integrated assessment model for assesing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor simultaniously has been developed for formative assessment in computer class. The assessment model was adopted from a Balinese culture based assessment. Many of the skills in Bali are learned through a collaborative process between skilled workers and young workers who help them. Through observations and in-depth interviews with some community figures it was found that skilled workers taught skills to young workers while they are working together. If the process runs normally, then in the future, young workers will become skilled workers. During the collaboration process, skilled workers evaluate the learning progress of young workers. Evaluation is done through a process similar to analogy. The skilled worker gives an example of performance, then the young worker is asked to imitate the example. Young workers will attempt to implement such performance examples, while expert workers do assessments while working. Assessment is done in an integrated manner including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor components. The assessment model has been tried to be adopted for formative assessment in computer class and developed in the form of performance assessment. Students are given problems to be resolved and similar problems with it's solutions are attached. The student solve the problem by doing analogy with the problem that has been solved. The assessment rubric includes the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor components. Gradually the similarity of the problem is reduced, so that the students are finally able to solve new problems without any examples. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Background: In-flight spatial disorientation (SD) is a predominant threat to flight safety in aviation. This study was conducted to understand the prevalence, severity, and frequency of in-flight SD among military pilots in Taiwan. Methods: A survey was conducted to collect tri-service pilots' experiences of SD during flight. Participants completed anonymous SD questionnaires during refresher physiology training. There were 486 questionnaires delivered to trainees and the completion rate was 97.1% (n = 472). All data were processed using SPSS version 24 software (IBM, Armonk, NY, USA). Results: Of the 472 participants, the average age of the pilots was 36.7 so 7.3 years and 97.7% were male. About 80% of participants experienced in-flight SD events. There was a significant difference between prevalence of SD in fighter (87.0%), trainer (89.8%), transporter (70.6%), and helicopter (66.7%) pilots (P < 0.001). Less than 10% of the events were severe, and there was no obvious variation between aircraft types (P = 0.126). Pilots were sensitive to SD in clouds and under low visibility. Over 70% of pilots experienced visual illusions, especially loss of horizon during bad weather (45.1%), followed by leans (44.5%), false horizon (44.1%), false sense in clouds (39.6%), Coriolis illusion (25.0%), and confusion on entry to instrument meteorological conditions (25.0%). Conclusions: Our survey showed that SD is a common physiological problem among military pilots, who were easily disoriented by in-flight SD without visual cues. Visual illusion was relatively more frequent, especially for trainer and fighter pilots. © 2021 Wolters Kluwer Medknow Publications. All rights reserved.

BACKGROUND:Infection is a recognized risk factor for mortality among hemodialysis (HD) population, including infection caused by Enterobacteriaceae. We aimed to investigate Enterobacteriaceae in gut microbiota among HD patients and to analyze associations between microbiota and clinical parameters. METHODS:This prospective study of microbiota analysis in HD patients was conducted in April-May 2019. A control group without recent antibiotic use or hospitalization was used for comparison. Stool samples underwent 16S rRNA sequencing, using Greengenes 16S rRNA database for microbiota analysis. RESULTS:Among 96 hemodialysis (HD) patients, mean age was 61.9 ± 0.8 years and mean duration of HD was 6.5 ± 0.7 years. No significant differences were found in alpha diversity between HD and control groups (HD group 949.5, controls 898; p = 0.16) although significant between-group differences were found in beta diversity (p < 0.001). At phylum level, HD group had a higher abundance of Firmicutes and Proteobacteria, but lower abundance of Bacteriodetes. At genus level, Escherichia-Shigella complex increased among HD patients who had hospitalization with 1 year (median 0.024 vs 0.004, p = 0.054) and Klebsiella was associated with emergency room visit within 1 year among HD patients (p = 0.002). CONCLUSIONS:Alpha diversity in HD patients is not lower than that in healthy controls but significant between-group differences are found in microbiota composition according to beta diversity, due to decreased Bacteriodetes and increased Firmicutes and Proteobacteria. Deeper microbiota analyses for Enterobacteriaceae are necessary. Whether change in dietary components can help to decrease mortality among dialysis population warrants further research.

Purpose of review: Trauma exposure is widespread but is especially common among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals. LGBTQ individuals also experience higher rates of discrimination, victimization, and minority stress which can complicate posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment but also represent independent intervention targets. In this review, we highlight existing evidence-based practices, current limitations, and provide recommendations for care in the absence of established guidelines for treatment PTSD among LGBTQ patients. Recent findings: Trauma-focused therapies (e.g., CPT, PE) and medications (e.g., SSRIs, SNRIs) have shown benefit for people with PTSD. However, evaluations of these interventions have failed to examine the role of LGBTQ identities in recovery from trauma, and existing PTSD treatments do not account for ongoing threat to safety or the pervasive minority stress experienced by LGBTQ patients. In addition, many LGBTQ patients report negative experiences with healthcare, necessitating increased education and cultural awareness on the part of clinicians to provide patient-centered care and, potentially, corrective mental health treatment experiences. Summary: Providers should routinely assess trauma exposure, PTSD, and minority stress among LGBTQ patients. We provide assessment and screening recommendations, outline current evidence-based treatments, and suggest strategies for integrating existing treatments to treat PTSD among LGBTQ patients. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Problem posing is very important in learning mathematics. Many studies have indicated that problem posing can improve the ability to solve mathematics problems. Therefore it is necessary to encourage students systematically to do problem posing. This research tries to pack problem posing in puzzle frame in order to increase student's interest and ability to do problem posing. The puzzle game which is then directed to problem posing is assured can arouse students' enthusiasm, thus encouraging their involvement in problem posing activities. Two groups of junior high school students each consisted of 31 and 32 students selected as samples. The first group follow mathematics class with problem posing learning model that preceded by playing a puzzle but still in a mathematical environment. The second group follow the mathematics class with problem posing learning model only. At the end of the research student's interest and ability to do problem posing are compared by using MANOVA test. Wilks' Lambda test results F = 10.8 on significance (p) = 0.002. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the problem posing learning model in mathematics that is preceded by playing puzzles can increase students' interest and ability to do problem posing. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research explores the development of effective corporate governance strategies for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) by evaluating both critical decision criteria and innovative organizational models. Based on an extensive literature review, seven governance criteria were identified: credibility and non-profit orientation, regular information flow and transparency, level of institutionalization, frequency of leadership turnover, internal and external stakeholder relations, annual budget, and ideological or religious motivation. In addition, five innovative organizational models were selected as strategic alternatives: continuous learning organization, technology-oriented policy development, income diversification, pluralistic governance, and transformational leadership. The empirical data were gathered through interviews with 16 experts from academia, civil society, and public institutions in Türkiye. To address the complexity and uncertainty of decision-making processes, a hybrid type-2 neutrosophic number (T2NN) multi-criteria decision-making methodology is introduced. The T2NN-ranking comparison and T2NN-criteria importance through intercriteria correlation methods are used to determine the weight of criteria, while T2NN-stable preference ordering towards ideal solution is utilized to rank the alternative models. Results show that the level of institutionalization is the most significant criterion, and income diversification is the most effective organizational model for improving NGO sustainability. The study not only provides practical guidance for NGO leaders but also introduces a robust methodological approach applicable to governance challenges under uncertain conditions.

In the healthcare context, vicarious liability applies to hospitals, attending physicians and surgeons, resident physicians, and allied hospital staff. The primary research question explored here is the hospital's vicarious liability based on the doctrine of respondeat superior. Today, resident physicians are held at the same standard of care as that of their attending physicians. They are theoretically accountable for their own acts or omissions. However, in surgery, the attending surgeon – not the hospital or resident – is vicariously liable for acts or omissions of the surgical residents. Correspondingly, courts have held hospitals accountable for independent contractors on three grounds of apparent agency, control test, and non-delegable duty of the hospital for patient care. Interestingly, with anesthesia identified as an independent specialty, which is separate and distinct from surgery, the anesthetist and not the attending surgeon is primarily accountable for anesthesia administered to the patient. Conclusively, the paper offers interesting perceptions and tangents of why the hospital, surgeon, and anesthetist are accountable for the acts and omissions of their subordinates under vicarious liability arising from the doctrine of respondeat superior with support of American and English case laws as examples. © 2021 Elsevier Masson SAS
