IT Governance are one of the needs in managing Enterprise Level IT. This study shows part of the decision domain of IT Governance Help, which are IT Investment and Prioritization. The purpose of this study is to determine feasibility of implementation open source ERP system Odoo project management module that replaces current system based on operational, economic, and technical aspects. The method used are Fit / Gap Analysis and Cost Benefit model using economic impact worksheet. The analysis is done by comparing the requirement with features owned by current system and Odoo ERP system. This research resulted that Odoo ERP System is feasible in the 3 aspects, the operational feasibility Odoo reaching 72% Fit, the economic feasibility with ROI of 84%, and technical feasibility indicating the technical requirement can be fulfilled by leasing AWS server. The conclusion is the open source ERP system Odoo project management module is feasible to be applied in terms of 3 aspects that have been studied, those are operational, economic, and technical.

This paper presents an evaluation of requirements specification for two critical real-time control systems, which depends of industrial communications protocols. It is proposed the use of aspect-oriented modeling (AOM) to map transient fault behaviors in design phases, with RT-FRIDA framework extended for fault modeling capabilities. Requirements specification for an Active suspension control system and for a fault detection control system applied in agricultural implements was made as case study. Faults are specified as non-functional requirements and evaluated applying a quantitative softgoal weight method. Results presented indicates aspect-oriented fault modeling as an important ally to specify faults that have potential to degrade performance of real-time control systems. © 2016

We explore an implementation of a higher-order Chern insulator in a topolectrical circuit as a platform to implement robust signal multiplexing. By utilizing basic circuit layouts that realize the required complex hopping between neighboring lattice sites, we demonstrate different topological phases in a three-dimensional topolectrical circuit, including a Wannier-based Chern insulator and a crystalline topological phase. The topological chiral hinge states supported by the circuit are nonreciprocal and avoid propagation to the hinge opposite the excitation. Such an unusual response can be explained in terms of a synthetic gauge field of the circuit lattice, enabling multiplexing inherently robust to defects.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a pervasive developmental disorder that will affect children in terms of interpersonal communication, social interaction, and imaginative levels in play. Many therapies to help the motor neuron performance is one of them Pretend Play. Pretend Play is a therapy that invites children in playing to demonstrate something else and tell how to use objects that are considered in the child's imagination. However, in the era of highly developed technology, many fields have used the Augmented Reality method as a visualization of various aspects. With this method researchers will present the therapeutic visualization of the block to 3D transportation tool that is useful for strengthening motor nerves and visual strength of the child. The system can run well during marker detection, marker movement, and 3D object display with the accuracy of precision angle and distance between virtual world with real world reach 100% with angle 0 at distance 31 cm and the maximum distance from the marker is 46 cm and the maximum angle is 30. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A system for automatic detection of road damages is essential for logistics management. At the core of the system lies an algorithm for classification of damages. This work intends to establish such an algorithm. In the current proposal, the algorithm receives data of the probe vehicle rate of rotations, extracts statistics descriptive from the data to produce a feature vector, and finally, feeds the vector to a simple-three-layer neural network to classify the damages. The types of damages are limited to four cases: normal, pothole, speed bump, and expansion joint. For the development, a probe vehicle is used to produce 400 empirical data involving those four damage cases. By using Monte Carlo approach, the established neural network model is evaluated. The results show that the approach is able to classify the cases with 85% accuracy. The study also finds that the rates of pitch and roll to be the determining factors. © 2018 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

We have studied the resonant and nonperturbative coupling of transverse optical phonons in lead telluride with photons in small-mode-volume terahertz cavities, observing a giant vacuum Rabi splitting on the order of the uncoupled phonon and cavity frequencies. Our terahertz time-domain spectroscopy experimental data, systematically collected as a function of sample thickness, temperature, and cavity length, can be well reproduced by our electromagnetic simulations. These results demonstrate that this uniquely tunable platform is promising for realizing and understanding predicted cavity-vacuum-induced ferroelectric instabilities, as well as for exploring applications of light-matter coupling in the ultra-and deep-strong coupling regimes in quantum technology.

Achieving ultrafast all-optical switching in a silicon waveguide geometry is a key milestone on the way to an integrated platform capable of handling the increasing demands for higher speed and higher capacity for information transfer. Given the weak electro-optic and thermo-optic effects in silicon, there has been intense interest in hybrid structures in which that switching could be accomplished by integrating another material into the waveguide, including the phase-changing material, vanadium dioxide (VO2). It has long been known that the phase transition in VO2 can be triggered by ultrafast laser pulses, and that pump-laser fluence is a critical parameter governing the recovery time of thin films irradiated by femtosecond laser pulses near 800 nm. However, thin-film experiments are not a priori reliable guides to using VO2 for all-optical switching in on-chip silicon photonics because of the large changes in VO2 optical constants in the telecommunications band, the requirement of low insertion loss, and the limits on switching energy permissible in integrated photonic systems. Here we report the first measurements to show that the reversible, ultrafast photo-induced phase transition in VO2 can be harnessed to achieve sub-picosecond switching when small VO2 volumes are integrated in a silicon waveguide as a modulating element. Switching energies above threshold are of order 600 fJ/switch. These results suggest that VO2 can now be pursued as a strong candidate for all-optical switching with sub-picosecond on-off times. Electroencephalography (EEG) measures electrical brain activity in a noninvasive manner. EEG mainly records electrical activity from radially oriented pyramidal cells in the cerebral cortex. However, EEG is less influenced by the tangentially oriented pyramidal cells. Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is influenced by the tangentially oriented pyramidal cells. However, MEG is not as widely available as EEG. Recent studies show that the combined used of EEG and MEG can improve the accuracy of source reconstruction, especially in neurological disorders (e.g. epilepsy). A current-based EEG system could allow us to record from the tangentially oriented pyramidal cells. The current work presents the development and validation of such a current-based EEG system. The system is adapted from a previously developed current-based electromyography (EMG) system. Characterization data and pilot EEG recordings in a human subject are presented. Further work will focus on miniaturizing the system to interface with the standard EEG cap, as well as developing a multichannel system.

TeraHertz (THz) communications can satisfy the high data rate demand with massive bandwidth. However, severe path attenuation and hardware imperfection greatly alleviate its performance. Therefore, we utilize the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) technology and investigate the RIS-aided THz communications. We first prove that the small-scale amplitude fading of THz signals can be accurately modeled by the fluctuating two-ray distribution based on two THz signal measurement experiments conducted in a variety of different scenarios. To optimize the phase-shifts at the RIS elements, we propose a novel swarm intelligence-based method that does not require full channel estimation. We then derive exact statistical characterizations of end-to-end signal-to-noise plus distortion ratio (SNDR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Moreover, we present asymptotic analysis to obtain more insights when the SNDR or the number of RIS's elements is high. Finally, we derive analytical expressions for the outage probability and ergodic capacity. The tight upper bounds of ergodic capacity for both ideal and non-ideal radio frequency chains are obtained. It is interesting to find that increasing the number of RIS's elements can significantly improve the THz communications system performance. For example, the ergodic capacity can increase up to 25% when the number of elements increases from 40 to 80, which incurs only insignificant costs to the system. © 2020, CC BY.
