This document presents a sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of different methods used to calculate ground-return impedances of power cables in electromagnetic transient responses. The sensitivity is observed in terms of the obtained accuracy in the voltage and current transient responses varying cable distance separation and ground resistivity. The propagation modes of open circuit voltages and the characteristics impedance of the line are also analyzed under the same criterion.

We have carried out experimental and numerical analyses for reconstruction of permittivity distribution using a pair of long distance small size electrodes and additional arc electrodes. A reconstruction method for permittivity distribution that uses a genetic algorithm and numerical analysis (finite element method) based on measured capacitance has been proposed and investigated. However, the conventional method had a problem in accuracy. In this paper, the reconstruction method has been improved by using a Parameter-free Genetic Algorithm(PfGA) based on measured capacitance and electric potential. In addition, we have evaluated the fitness function with PfGA. © 2016 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

We present the first analysis of the Euclid Early Release Observations (ERO) program that targets fields around two lensing clusters, Abell 2390 and Abell 2764. We use VIS and NISP imaging to produce photometric catalogs for a total of ∼ 500 000 objects. The imaging data reach a 5 σ typical depth in the range 25.1–25.4 AB in the NISP bands, and 27.1–27.3 AB in the VIS band. Using the Lyman-break method in combination with photometric redshifts, we search for high-redshift galaxies. We identify 30 Lyman-break galaxy (LBG) candidates at z > 6 and 139 extremely red sources (ERSs), most likely at lower redshift. The deeper VIS imaging compared to NISP means we can routinely identify high-redshift Lyman breaks of the order of 3 magnitudes, which reduces contamination by brown dwarf stars and low-redshift galaxies. The difficulty of spatially resolving most of these sources in 0′′ . 3 pix−1 imaging makes the distinction between galaxies and quasars more challenging. Spectroscopic followup campaigns of such bright sources will help constrain both the bright end of the ultraviolet galaxy luminosity function and the quasar luminosity function at z > 6, and constrain the physical nature of these objects. Additionally, we have performed a combined strong lensing and weak lensing analysis of A2390, and demonstrate how Euclid will contribute to better constraining the virial mass of galaxy clusters. From these data, we also identify optical and near-infrared counterparts of known z > 0.6 clusters, which exhibit strong lensing features, establishing the ability of Euclid to characterize high-redshift clusters. Finally, we provide a glimpse of Euclid’s ability to map the intracluster light out to larger radii than current facilities, enabling a better understanding of the cluster assembly history and mapping of the dark matter distribution. Context. Number counts of galaxy clusters across redshift are a powerful cosmological probe, if a precise and accurate reconstruction of the underlying mass distribution is performed - a challenge called mass calibration. With the advent of wide and deep photometric surveys, weak gravitational lensing by clusters has become the method of choice to perform this measurement. Aims. We measure and validate the weak gravitational lensing (WL) signature in the shape of galaxies observed in the first 3 years of the Dark Energy Survey (DES Y3) caused by galaxy clusters and groups selected in the first all-sky survey performed by SRG (Spectrum Roentgen Gamma)/eROSITA (eRASS1). These data are then used to determine the scaling between X-ray photon count rate of the clusters and their halo mass and redshift. Methods. We empirically determine the degree of cluster member contamination in our background source sample. The individual cluster shear profiles are then analysed with a Bayesian population model that self-consistently accounts for the lens sample selection and contamination, and includes marginalization over a host of instrumental and astrophysical systematics. To quantify the accuracy of the mass extraction of that model, we perform mass measurements on mock cluster catalogs with realistic synthetic shear profiles. Errors in data transmission cannot be known directly when the data transmission process is fulfilled, but error is often prevalent in data transmission. Faulty or missing frames or bits are standard errors and to control or check errors requires a unique method, in this case, the Stop-and-wait method, Go-Back-N and Selective Reject are methods that can be used to do so, comparison of time of error checking process with Stop-and-wait method, Go-Back-N and Selective Reject is very important to get the right method to check the ignorance, from testing performed that the method of Go-Back-N is much faster than the other methods.

The dispatching of labor and distribution of tasks among workers are important aspects of corporate operations. Labor dispatch refers to the dispatching of employees to meet with clients; however, dispatches commonly vary with time. This means that any analysis pertaining to labor dispatch and work distribution should also vary with time. In this study, MATLAB was used to analyze data from anonymous caseworkers in central Taiwan in order to identify relationships between the location of their offices and the homes of their clients. Our aim was to determine the rationality behind labor dispatch and work distribution. This led us to develop a novel method by which to dispatch labor in order to achieve a more equitable distribution of work. Simulations demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed scheme in improving labor dispatch and work distribution.

Nowadays, messaging technology in digital data form more often used and not less messages that confidentially wanted. Then it should be modified so that can be understood only by the sender and the intended recipients. All of this system can be realization by using cryptography. LUC algorithms are introduced by Smith and Lennon in 1993. LUC algorithm is an algorithm that based on the use of Lucas sequence (specific arithmetic operations derived from Lucas row) that rarely used to enhance the security of the messages. In this research, LUC algorithm is combined with visual cryptography to process the encryption and the description of a colored image. Four different images were used in the trial here. The performance of the system is assessed using Structural similarity (SSIM) which has an assessment similar to human eye. If the image quality is the same as the original image, then the SSIM value is one. Whereas if the quality of decryption image is very different from the original image then the value of SSIM is zero.

The development of information and communication technology at this time has touched all sides of life. Decision Making System of goods purchasing is one of the determinants of the accumulation of goods. If the decision is taken right then stockpiling of goods can be avoided. In this thesis the authors designed a web-based system that helps Management in making the decision of the purchase amount of goods. the system was developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and using SQL Server database processing applications. The end result of system design is expected to help minimize the accumulation of goods.
