Two-dimensional Dirac semimetals feature flatband edge states but a zero Chern number, while Chern insulators support one-way edge states associated with a nonzero Chern number. Here, we demonstrate a two-dimensional photonic crystal combining the response of a semimetal and of a Chern insulator, termed a Chern semimetal. This photonic semimetal is characterized by a nonzero Chern number, simultaneously hosting both a flatband edge state and a one-way edge state. We experimentally realize such a photonic Chern semimetal using a gyromagnetic photonic crystal with programmable magnetic bias, tailoring its second-neighbor coupling within each sublattice. We also verify the ability to control over the light speed while preserving topological protection. Our findings open new avenues toward exploring topological phases and their applications across fermionic and bosonic systems, providing an exciting platform for nanophotonic applications and a playground for topological physics discoveries.

The development of the internet is getting faster, participating in encouraging the emergence of new and innovative information. In filtering the various information that appears, we need a recommended system to perform well for users in today's internet era. A well-performing recommendation system in question is a reliable recommendation algorithm. This algorithm is fundamental to analyzing various information, such as responses on social media based on user behavior data related to the topic of COVID. This data is crawled from tweets on social media Twitter. The data analysis algorithm obtained uses Python, which is then visualized in the form of a diagram. The processed data is user comments on Twitter, and the text data is analyzed using Python, using more than 60000 data sets taken to form visualizations and conclusions. From sentiment analysis, polarity and subjectivity data are obtained to be analyzed, which are negative, neutral, or positive. The result is show positive tweets with 29.2%, negative tweets is 13%, and 57.8% neutral tweets. Lastly, sentiment analysis can help people effectively infer vast and complex data from social media like Twitter.

The growing need for automation of factories and their processes determines a constant increase in the use of robots to carry out various tasks. Multiple robots can do different tasks simultaneously, speeding up processes. This practice raises the question of how many robots are needed to service the entire process, given all the limitations of the operation. One of these limitations is due to the navigation systems used by the several robots in the environment. Line-followers robots, for example, can only meet some tasks but are cheaper than free-movement ones. In this work, we develop an optimization model for task allocation among the available robots to minimize execution delays using mixed integer linear programming, considering their navigation systems. With the model, it is possible to obtain the best task allocation for each robot and the order to perform such tasks, thus avoiding delays as much as possible and getting zero delays for the presented case, that emulates the process of a vehicle assembler factory line.
