Willis coupling in acoustic materials defines the cross-coupling between strain and velocity, analogous to bianisotropic phenomena in electromagnetics. While these phenomena have been garnering significant attention in recent years, to date their effects have been considered mostly perturbative. Here, we derive general bounds on the Willis response of acoustic scatterers, show that these bounds can be reached in suitably designed scatterers, and outline a systematic venue for the realistic implementation of maximally bianisotropic acoustic inclusions. We then employ these inclusions to realize acoustic metasurfaces for bending and steering of sound with unitary efficiency.

In this paper, we present and study the dynamics of an active microwave cloaking technique that alleviates the trade-offs between loss, bandwidth, and size inherent in passive approaches. The presented cloak consists of a finite number of satellite antennas loaded with parity-time-symmetric lumped admittances, which, without external control, can track in real time the amplitude, frequency, and phase variations of the impinging signals and generate the required current distributions at the antennas to totally suppress the scattered waves, including reflections and shadows. We analytically derive the optimal density and frequency dispersion of the antenna satellites surrounding the object in order to achieve substantial reduction in the scattering crosssection over a wide bandwidth. We also investigate the conditions necessary to maintain the cloak stability and study its transient response for excitation with pulsed signals.

Based on the formulation of the problem to be discussed by the writer is to know: the influence of 0.4 mm spark gap variation, and standard spark plug type, to CO and HC, the influence of 0.5 mm spark plug gap variation, and variation of platinum spark plug on CO and HC, influence of spark gap variation 0,6mm, and variation of iridium spark plug type to CO and HC emission Method used to obtain data needed to support the writer that is research method with experiment, literature study method or literature study The result of this research concludes that there is spark gap influence 0.4 mm, with variations of standard plug, platinum and iridium spark plugs against CO and HC emissions, where the lowest CO value is 0.27% and HC 98 ppm, 0.5 mm spark plug with lowest CO 0.15% and HC 46 ppm, 0.6 mm spark plug gap the lowest CO value of 0.19% and HC 24 ppm. Safety systems in the automotive sector are very important. Among these are ABS brake systems, stability control system, and air bag systems. One group of these safety systems is oriented toward collisions and are activated at different times, having specific objectives, for example 1) systems activated before a collision have the objective of preventing impact, 2) systems activated during a collision have the objective of minimizing the physical harm to occupants, and 3) after a collision, their objective is to minimize the time between the collision and arrival of outside assistance for the vehicle's occupants. However, while type 1 systems (passive) and type 2 systems (active) are currently in many vehicles, type 3 systems have not been thoroughly researched. Therefore, this article describes a proposal of the behavioral logic of a type 3 system, which is represented through a software requirement specification document (SRS). The SRS presented satisfies some of the recommendations of the requirements of the automotive standard ISO 26262 and two of the processes used relate to the requirements of the standard ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a pervasive developmental disorder that will affect children in terms of interpersonal communication, social interaction, and imaginative levels in play. Many therapies to help the motor neuron performance is one of them Pretend Play. Pretend Play is a therapy that invites children in playing to demonstrate something else and tell how to use objects that are considered in the child's imagination. However, in the era of highly developed technology, many fields have used the Augmented Reality method as a visualization of various aspects. With this method researchers will present the therapeutic visualization of the block to 3D transportation tool that is useful for strengthening motor nerves and visual strength of the child. The system can run well during marker detection, marker movement, and 3D object display with the accuracy of precision angle and distance between virtual world with real world reach 100% with angle 0 at distance 31 cm and the maximum distance from the marker is 46 cm and the maximum angle is 30˚.

This work deals with the Unrelated Parallel Machine Scheduling Problem with Setup Times, with the objective of minimizing the makespan. It is proposed an Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search (ALNS) metaheuristic using Learning Automata (LA) to adapt the probabilities of using removal and insertion heuristics and methods. A computable function in the LA updates the probability vector for selecting the actions, corresponding to six removal and six insertion methods. We also propose a new insertion method based on Hungarian algorithm, which is applied to solve subproblems optimally. Computational experiments are performed to verify the performance of the proposed method. A set of instances available in the literature with problems up to 150 jobs and 10 machines is employed in the experiments. The proposed LA-ALNS is compared against three other algorithms from the literature. The results suggest that our algorithm has better performance in most of cases (88%) under the defined conditions of experiments. Statistical tests also suggest that LA-ALNS is better than the other algorithms from the literature. The proposed method is able to automatically choose the most suitable heuristics for the instance of the problem, through adaptation and learning in the Learning Automata. © 2017 IEEE.

This Research Paper presents the evaluation of an instrument to identify the impact of motivation and engagement factors in undergraduate students in computing. Although researches indicate a direct impact of motivation and engagement on student performance and retention, few studies have been found that address which factors are relevant in this process. The instrument is a questionnaire based on the compilation of several works of the literature containing 48 items divided into 6 groups: personal and demographic data, general perception about motivation, perception about the university, student behavior, perception about program and perception about classes/teachers. The questionnaire evaluation is based on a case study with 112 undergraduate students in Software engineering. As a result, we found that the questionnaire can be considered reliable (Cronbach's alpha = .8904). Considering the validity of constructs, we found an acceptable degree of correlation between the most pair of items in each group (averaging 63%). We also found that the item-total correlation coefficient was only not adequate for one factor group, indicating satisfactory correlation for all other items. Finally, we found that the number of factors is coherent, but there are several items from different groups strongly correlated, indicating the need for a reorganization.
