The advancement of biomedical named entity recognition (BNER) and biomedical relation extraction (BRE) researches promotes the development of text mining in biological domains. As a cornerstone of BRE, robust BNER system is required to identify the mentioned NEs in plain texts for further relation extraction stage. However, the current BNER corpora, which play important roles in these tasks, paid less attention to achieve the criteria for BRE task. In this study, we present Revised JNLPBA corpus, the revision of JNLPBA corpus, to broaden the applicability of a NER corpus from BNER to BRE task. We preserve the original entity types including protein, DNA, RNA, cell line and cell type while all the abstracts in JNLPBA corpus are manually curated by domain experts again basis on the new annotation guideline focusing on the specific NEs instead of general terms. Simultaneously, several imperfection issues in JNLPBA are pointed out and made up in the new corpus. To compare the adaptability of different NER systems in Revised JNLPBA and JNLPBA corpora, the F1-measure was measured in three open sources NER systems including BANNER, Gimli and NERSuite. In the same circumstance, all the systems perform average 10% better in Revised JNLPBA than in JNLPBA. Moreover, the cross-validation test is carried out which we train the NER systems on JNLPBA/Revised JNLPBA corpora and access the performance in both protein-protein interaction extraction (PPIE) and biomedical event extraction (BEE) corpora to confirm that the newly refined Revised JNLPBA is a competent NER corpus in biomedical relation application. This study aim to propose cloud model for education and IT Governance conceptual framework for Cloud Computing model adoption, Tarumanagara University as a study case.

Augmented Reality is a technology that allows users to see the real world, with virtual objects placed on it or combined with the real world. Augmented Reality itself can be applied to various things, including as an educational media. In the field of education, technology can be used a culture introduction to society. One part of Indonesian culture is traditional houses. Traditional house is a building that symbolizes the culture of the local community. In North Sumatra itself, there are several traditional houses that have different forms. The use of Vuforia SDK in the construction of this application can display augmented objects in the form of 3-dimentional objects and also provide information on the house. This application will run on the Android mobile platform to make it easier for users to access it. In addition, users can choose their own objects to be used as markers to make the application use much easier. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Redox cofactors mediate many enzymatic processes and are increasingly employed in biomedical and energy applications. Exploring the influence of external magnetic fields on redox cofactor chemistry can enhance our understanding of magnetic-field-sensitive biological processes and allow the application of magnetic fields to modulate redox reactions involving cofactors. Through a combination of experiments and modeling, we investigate the influence of magnetic fields on electrochemical reactions in redox cofactor solutions. By employing flavin mononucleotide (FMN) cofactor as a model system, we characterize magnetically induced changes in Faradaic currents. We find that radical pair intermediates have negligible influence on current increases in FMN solution upon application of a magnetic field. The dominant mechanism underlying the observed current increases is the magneto-hydrodynamic effect. We extend our analyses to other diffusion-limited electrochemical reactions of redox cofactor solutions and arrive at similar conclusions, highlighting the opportunity to use this framework in redox cofactor chemistry.

BioBERT: A pre-trained biomedical language representation model for biomedical text mining

Motivation: Biomedical text mining is becoming increasingly important as the number of biomedical documents rapidly grows. With the progress in natural language processing (NLP), extracting valuable information from biomedical literature has gained popularity among researchers, and deep learning has boosted the development of effective biomedical text mining models. However, directly applying the advancements in NLP to biomedical text mining often yields unsatisfactory results due to a word distribution shift from general domain corpora to biomedical corpora. In this article, we investigate how the recently introduced pre-trained language model BERT can be adapted for biomedical corpora. Results: We introduce BioBERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers for Biomedical Text Mining), which is a domain-specific language representation model pre-trained on large-scale biomedical corpora. With almost the same architecture across tasks, BioBERT largely outperforms BERT and previous state-of-the-art models in a variety of biomedical text mining tasks when pre-trained on biomedical corpora. While BERT obtains performance comparable to that of previous state-of-the-art models, BioBERT significantly outperforms them on the following three representative biomedical text mining tasks: biomedical named entity recognition (0.62% F1 score improvement), biomedical relation extraction (2.80% F1 score improvement) and biomedical question answering (12.24% MRR improvement). Our analysis results show that pre-training BERT on biomedical corpora helps it to understand complex biomedical texts. Broadband delay lines and nonreciprocal resonances in unidirectional waveguides

Slow-light waveguides play an important role in optical pulse delay lines, but are practically limited by disorder-induced attenuation. Topological edge states, unidirectional and robust against disorder, have been proposed as a way to address this issue. Here, we study the transmission phase and pulse propagation dynamics through unidirectional systems in the presence of strong discontinuities. We first investigate a magnetically biased slow-light channel, demonstrating broadband pulse delays in small footprints. We uncover a nonreciprocal etalonlike resonance, sustained by propagating forward and evanescent backward modes, affecting pulse propagation and delay. We then show the existence of these features in topologically protected edge states, highlighting their universality. These exotic resonances provide a new degree of freedom in unidirectional waveguides to engineer their response, and they may therefore prove highly useful in various nanophotonic applications.

Many researchers both in academia and industry have long been interested in the stock market. Numerous approaches were developed to accurately predict future trends in stock prices. Recently, there has been a growing interest in utilizing graph-structured data in computer science research communities. Methods that use relational data for stock market prediction have been recently proposed, but they are still in their infancy. First, the quality of collected information from different types of relations can vary considerably. No existing work has focused on the effect of using different types of relations on stock market prediction or finding an effective way to selectively aggregate information on different relation types. Furthermore, existing works have focused on only individual stock prediction which is similar to the node classification task. To address this, we propose a hierarchical attention network for stock prediction (HATS) which uses relational data for stock market prediction. Our HATS method selectively aggregates information on different relation types and adds the information to the representations of each company. Specifically, node representations are initialized with features extracted from a feature extraction module. HATS is used as a relational modeling module with initialized node representations. Then, node representations with the added information are fed into a task-specific layer. Our method is used for predicting not only individual stock prices but also market index movements, which is similar to the graph classification task. The experimental results show that performance can change depending on the relational data used. HATS which can automatically select information outperformed all the existing methods. Laser wakefield acceleration (LWFA) may achieve TeV/m gradients using high-density solid-state plasmas as accelerating media. However, the application of bulk solid materials requires attosecond laser pulses, such as X-ray lasers, to drive wakefields at these high densities. Additionally, the short wakefield wavelengths associated with solid-state plasmas greatly limit the accelerating length. An alternative approach employs 2D carbon-based nanomaterials, like graphene or carbon nanotubes (CNTs), configured into structured targets. These nanostructures are designed with voids or low-density regions to effectively reduce the overall plasma density. This reduction enables the use of longer-wavelength lasers and also extends the plasma wavelength and the acceleration length. In this study, we present, to our knowledge, the first numerical demonstration of electron acceleration via self-injection into a wakefield bubble driven by an infrared laser pulse in structured CNT targets, similar to the behavior observed in gaseous plasmas for LWFA in the nonlinear (or bubble) regime. Using the PIConGPU code, bundles of CNTs are modeled in a 3D geometry as 25 nm-thick carbon tubes with an initial density of 1022 cm−3. The carbon plasma is ionized by a three-cycle, 800 nm wavelength laser pulse with a peak intensity of 1021 W cm−2, achieving an effective plasma density of 1020 cm−3. The same laser also drives the wakefield bubble, responsible for the electron self-injection and acceleration. Simulation results indicate that fs-long electron bunches with hundreds of pC charge can be self-injected and accelerated at gradients exceeding 1 TeV/m. Both charge and accelerating gradient figures are unprecedented when compared with LWFA in gaseous plasma. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

Currently, the growth of information and technology is rapid. It makes a lot of things in various fields including education becoming more effective and efficient. In education, one of its implementation which is a game is proven to be a useful tool to support conventional teaching methods and bring a more natural understanding of learning materials. Moreover, as a product of the popular culture in modern society, video game mirrors the general culture practice in real life and reflects it via its own culture inside the game. This makes a video game can give a contribution to the social construction of reality as it affects the player's view towards learning in real life and vice versa. From there, we see that there is an opportunity for learning about religion to be supported by its utilization to provide an interactive and fun learning experience. In this paper, we discuss how a video game is implemented to support religious learning. The game was developed with the scrum method where we surveyed to gather the user requirements before the design step. The game design was made by using the use case diagram and storyboard, and it was built using Unity version 2017.3.0f3.

Information technology enables for new way of commerce, which is a commerce activities through online media (e-commerce). Security becomes an important issue in online-system, because such system is accessible by anyone through the global network -internet. Security in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability becomes goals that must be achieved by any system generally, and commerce system especially, because this kind of system contains many sensitive data like customer data and transaction data. SQL Injection is a vulnerability and threat, with the most occurrence in a web based system. In this research we evaluate and analyze source code against SQL injection, and we use regular expression and escape string to prevent the SQL injection. The results of this study are findings of system vulnerability against SQL injection, which are proven by the ability to get data from database, with SQL injection techniques. System vulnerabilities were analyzed, in order to design and implement the solution for it. The solutions then tested, to validate that it has proven effectively fix the vulnerabilities, and can prevent the exploitation by SQL injection. In the end, the conclusion is that initially the system is vulnerable against SQL injection, but then the solution that being implemented has proven effectively fix the issue.
