Currently, the growth of information and technology is rapid. It makes a lot of things in various fields including education becoming more effective and efficient. In education, one of its implementation which is a game is proven to be a useful tool to support conventional teaching methods and bring a more natural understanding of learning materials. Moreover, as a product of the popular culture in modern society, video game mirrors the general culture practice in real life and reflects it via its own culture inside the game. This makes a video game can give a contribution to the social construction of reality as it affects the player's view towards learning in real life and vice versa. From there, we see that there is an opportunity for learning about religion to be supported by its utilization to provide an interactive and fun learning experience. In this paper, we discuss how a video game is implemented to support religious learning. The game was developed with the scrum method where we surveyed to gather the user requirements before the design step. The game design was made by using the use case diagram and storyboard, and it was built using Unity version 2017.3.0f3.

This paper presents a systematic mapping study on factors that affect motivation in computing undergraduate students. Although there are several initiatives to improve teaching and learning computing, the panorama is still negative. Motivation and engagement are usually singled out as reasons for students' retention or success, but we found a lack of standards in studies on motivation of computing students, and we have not found literature reviews about this subject. We identified twenty-nine (29) motivation factors presented in 32 selected studies. We divided the factors into five categories: student, professor/teaching, program/course/content, environment/university, and social aspects. The most mentioned factor was related to the teaching-learning strategies (37.5%), professor-student interaction (31.3%) and prior knowledge (31.3%). We also have identified that there is no convergence on literature about the identification and measurement of motivation and engagement. Another interesting aspect was that, despite the literature saying that intrinsic motivation has a greater impact on the student's results, many studies are being carried out considering extrinsic aspects. This shows the concern of the computing community regarding these aspects. However, there are only a few studies with controlled studies and evaluations on the impact of the factors in the motivation of students. © 2018 IEEE.

Rationale & Objective:We aimed to study the comparative effectiveness of percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent and coronary artery bypass grafting in patients receiving dialysis. Study Design:This was a retrospective observational cohort study. Setting & Participants:This population-based study identified patients receiving dialysis hospitalized for coronary revascularization between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2015, in the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database. Exposures:Patients received percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent versus coronary artery bypass grafting. Outcomes:The study outcomes were all-cause mortality, in-hospital mortality, and repeat revascularization. Analytical Approach:Propensity scores were used to match patients. Cox proportional hazards models and logistic regression models were constructed to examine associations between revascularization strategies and mortality. Interval Cox models were fitted to estimate time-varying hazards during different periods. Results:A total of 1,840 propensity score-matched patients receiving dialysis were analyzed. Coronary artery bypass grafting was associated with higher in-hospital mortality (coronary artery bypass grafting vs percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent; crude mortality rate 12.5% vs 3.3%; adjusted OR, 5.22; 95% CI, 3.42-7.97; < 0.001) and longer hospitalization duration (median [IQR], 20 [14-30] days vs 3 [2-8] days; < 0.001). After discharge, repeat revascularization, acute coronary syndrome, and repeat hospitalization all occurred more frequently in the percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent group. Importantly, with a median follow-up of 2.8 years, coronary artery bypass grafting was significantly associated with a higher risk of all-cause overall mortality (adjusted HR, 1.19; 95% CI, 1.05-1.35; = 0.006) in the multivariable Cox proportional hazard model. This article describes the instructional design and evaluation of a course about project management in a software engineering post-graduation program using different teaching approaches and with a focus on active learning. We use four different approaches: digital educational game, non-digital educational game, hands-on activity, and experiential activity. Each one of the activities is evaluated for the aspects of motivation, user experience, and learning, following the MEEGA evaluation model and Cidral's experiential activity model. To verify the perceptions of students over time, we also assess graduated students that have concluded this course after two to four years, considering the aspects of motivation and learning. Results indicate a high level of approval for dynamic activities, regarding both motivation and learning. Activities with greater impact on motivation and learning are dynamics and educational games, group practical activities, and group theoretical activities. Among the factors that most influence students' motivation, we highlight: active learning, teacher knowledge, the taste of the area, and teaching methods. We realized that there was no significant variation in the perception of the activities by students over time. © 2018 IEEE.

Halstead metric is one of software quality measurement technique. Some studies call it as Primitive and/or Classic Software Metric, although some researchers find vagueness of it. This paper utilizing Halstead metric to measuring the quality of various versions of Statcato software. Measurements are performed in each class of each version of Statcato software. Python programming used to facilitate this. This paper find that in terms of Halstead metric, this software seems stable during its lifecycle. So, the quality of the newer versions of Statcato are better in terms of stability of Halstead metrics than the earlier version, although its feature is increasing. © 2018 IEEE.

Decision making is sometimes faced with a situation where assessment is given in the form of linguistic variables, which have a certain range of values so that decision making cannot be given in the form of numerical values. One approach commonly used is Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Term Sets (HFLTS) which is a multi-criteria and multi-alternative decision making method. In TOPSIS which has the concept of distance measurement, basically the chosen one is the best alternative is an alternative that has the closest distance to a positive solution and the farthest distance with a negative solution. The incorporation of HFLTS-TOPSIS has the advantage that decision making can be done in the form of variable linguistics and also a situation where there are benefit criteria and cost criteria. This study will use the HFLTS-TOPSIS approach that has been modified in the distance calculation section so that distance calculation is based on the difference of preference degree between the two HFLTS. The results of research conducted by a number of researchers show that using pseudo-distance will provide advantages compared to the standard HLFTS-TOPSIS. Pseudo-distance HFLTS-TOPSIS will be applied in the selection of the best lecturers. The criteria used in this study are: Student Satisfaction, Research, Number of late, and number of complaints from students. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The role of climate can be affected by plants. The weather can accelerate and multiply the existence of various plant pests and diseases, accelerate the growth and development of grass among plants, and encourage the emergence of infection and significant damage to plants. The elements of climate that affect the growth of plants are one of them is rainfall. In this paper, we performed the simulation using the non-parametric penalized spline (PSPLINE) method and studied the effect on rice production in Lampung. It can be concluded that the increasing fluctuation, frequency, and intensity of climate anomalies in the last decade caused by the ENSO phenomenon have an impact on changes in distribution patterns, intensity, and period of the wet season so that the start of the rainy season and the dry season becomes too late. As a result, there is a seasonal shift from normal average conditions that can ultimately have severe implications for food crops. In a nutshell penalized spline gives high accuracy with R 2 = 96.227% and MAPE = 1.62%. © 2018 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

This research explores the development of effective corporate governance strategies for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) by evaluating both critical decision criteria and innovative organizational models. Based on an extensive literature review, seven governance criteria were identified: credibility and non-profit orientation, regular information flow and transparency, level of institutionalization, frequency of leadership turnover, internal and external stakeholder relations, annual budget, and ideological or religious motivation. In addition, five innovative organizational models were selected as strategic alternatives: continuous learning organization, technology-oriented policy development, income diversification, pluralistic governance, and transformational leadership. The empirical data were gathered through interviews with 16 experts from academia, civil society, and public institutions in Türkiye. To address the complexity and uncertainty of decision-making processes, a hybrid type-2 neutrosophic number (T2NN) multi-criteria decision-making methodology is introduced. The T2NN-ranking comparison and T2NN-criteria importance through intercriteria correlation methods are used to determine the weight of criteria, while T2NN-stable preference ordering towards ideal solution is utilized to rank the alternative models. Results show that the level of institutionalization is the most significant criterion, and income diversification is the most effective organizational model for improving NGO sustainability. The study not only provides practical guidance for NGO leaders but also introduces a robust methodological approach applicable to governance challenges under uncertain conditions.

This paper presents a neuro-inspired mapping approach that uses partial information shared by multiple robots to reduce the time to create a map of an entire environment. Robots using a neurobiologically inspired algorithm, namely RatSLAM, map an environment sharing video information among themselves. RatSLAM, which is based on the navigation system present in the hippocampus of rodents' brain, has been widely used on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) problem. This proposal has been able to generate suitable maps mainly when there is redundant information, e.g. a scene is seen more than once, since this fact activates local view cells that inject activity inside the pose cells via an excitatory link. The work here reported extends this approach by merging partial information acquired by multiple robots. The results from the performed experiments show that the final map built by two robots with shared information is similar to one built by two robots performing the same mapping task individually, i.e. without sharing information. However, the time spent to generate the whole map with the proposed shared approach was smaller than the one without the shared information. Thus, the current approach allows creating a complete map of an environment within a reduced time using multiple robots. © 2018 IEEE.

Measurement of activeness lecturers in SmartLecturer based learning using fuzzy Mamdani and Sugeno

The success of learning in a classroom that uses supporting media demands lecturer activity. The level of activity of lecturers in class and using learning media such as Smart lecturer can be measured using a fuzzy logic approach. This study aims to measure the level of active lecturers using the approach, namely: Mamdani and Sugeno method. Stages of lecturer activity measurement by forming a fuzzy set, composition rules as many as 24 rules and the defuzzification process using the centroid method that produces the level of activity of each is low, medium and high. Based on 173 lecturer activity data, the results of the Mamdani method indicates low 66%, medium 31%, and high 3%. While the Sugeno method produces a level of activity low 75%, moderate 17%, and high 8%. Therefore, Mamdani method is more suitable for the calculation because the spread of results is relatively evenly distributed at each level.
