Breast cancer is a malignant tumor with a high mortality rate among women. Therefore, it is necessary to develop novel therapies to effectively treat this disease. In this study, iron selenide nanorods (FeSe2 NRs) were designed for use in magnetic hyperthermic, photothermal, and chemodynamic therapy (MHT/PTT/CDT) for breast cancer. To illustrate their efficacy, FeSe2 NRs were modified with the chemotherapeutic agent methotrexate (MTX). MTX-modified FeSe2 (FeSe2-MTX) exhibited excellent controlled drug release properties. Fe2+ released from FeSe2 NRs induced the release of •OH from H2O2 via a Fenton/Fenton-like reaction, enhancing the efficacy of CDT. Under alternating magnetic field (AMF) stimulation and 808 nm laser irradiation, FeSe2-MTX exerted potent hyperthermic and photothermal effects by suppressing tumor growth in a breast cancer nude mouse model. In addition, FeSe2 NRs can be used for magnetic resonance imaging in vivo by incorporating their superparamagnetic characteristics into a single nanomaterial. Overall, we presented a novel technique for the precise delivery of functional nanosystems to tumors that can enhance the efficacy of breast cancer treatment. © 2024 The Authors. Copper (Cu) has been excessively used for some valuable commodities and this creates environmental problems. The inorganic element becomes toxic when presents beyond the recommended tolerated concentration. Bacterial-based remediation is seen to be an excellent tool to overcome it as it reduces the copper contamination without yielding any other forms of contamination. There are some pivotal properties in the bacteria render them being considered as bioremediation agents against coppers contamination, namely bioaccumulation and biosorption. In the present study, we question if these bacteria could be clustered into a strong and representative proximity according to their functional properties. Mostly, bacteria are grouped based on their genetic profiles derived from the 16S rRNA sequencing. We propose that our K-Means clustering model can be employed to identify genetically-unlabelled bacteria. But first, a prominent reference should be developed and we are in this phase. We figured out the K-Means clustering model do not pull the same-genus bacteria into the same cluster. Instead, the model gathers into a proximity those isolates with similarity on a functional characteristic termed minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), regardless their origins and their hierarchy in taxonomy.

Knowledge as an organizational asset is of great importance in the decision-making process, which needs to be managed properly in order to achieve, from this, a competitive differential in the respective segment of the labor market where the organization is inserted. Thus, managing knowledge and making it an exploitable asset within the organization is of great importance. Therefore, generating new ideas, solutions and innovations and making them available to members of the organization, whether from an organizational database or even from the process of socialization among employees, is necessary for the maintenance of knowledge. Based on this, this work presents the evaluation of an experience report that consisted of the application of a gamification to support the teaching and learning of the knowledge management assets and process in a research laboratory context. The data collected, both during the application of gamification, and at the end of the experiment in the feedback and evaluation meeting, were analyzed qualitatively from the application of Affective Computing and also through the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) matrix. After analyzing these data, the effectiveness of this gamified proposal was proven in order to stimulate the teaching and learning process of knowledge management.

The COVID-19 pandemic requires face-to-face learning to shift to online or distance learning. Therefore, the elementary school, which is the most basic level of education affected by this phenomenon, where this research is carried out. This study aimed to analyze the process of implementing online learning, the supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers, students, and parents in implementing online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, good practices for online learning were also analyzed in this study to understand these phenomena in elementary schools. The research method utilized descriptive qualitative research and was performed at a private primary school in Yogyakarta. The subjects consisted of teachers, students, and parents that were involved in the online learning process. Online questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data. The results of this study show the enormous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the learning process. Learning that is usually carried out face-to-face (conventional) has now been converted into online learning in elementary school.

It is essential to develop an efficient Client Relationship Model in order to make use of the estimations about customer turnover (CRM). Finding and breaking down the facts surrounding the business information understanding is necessary for client produce prediction, which should be made possible effectively by altering the strategies used for business insight. The tools that are provided by company insight allow for the historical, current, and prospective perspectives of business activity to be anticipated and dissected. It is possible to deal with it in an efficient way by providing the information mining approaches that choose the data from the created informative index that is the most helpful. Fundamental leadership should be possible to achieve in a fruitful way if one has this information. The actions that consumers have taken in the recent past are going to be analyzed, and an accurate forecast is going to be formed about those customers who are likely going to get unhappy in the near future based on the results of that prediction. The problem is that deciding on a certain period to investigate the client's activities and also establishing on a specific day and age for each of the clients won't be appropriate6. This is due to the fact that the problem is caused by the fact that deciding on a certain period to investigate the client's activities will take too long. The challenge lies just in this aspect. How to decide on a certain amount of time to spend researching the activities of the customer. For instance, when planning a model, 100 customers are used, 70 of those customers are considered “active,” which indicates that they are still conducting business with the organisation, and the remaining 30 customers are considered “agitate,” which indicates that they have severed their ties with the organisation. Mathematical modeling in the epidemiology study can be applied to describe the current transmission of viruses, one of which is compartments. However, this simulation model is rigorous to understand, especially in interpreting the parameter values in influencing the solution. Therefore, it is necessary to present a coherent mathematical model solution. This study aims to determine the SEIRD model solution in the COVID-19 transmission using Microsoft Excel with three conditions (normal, new normal, and lockdown) to facilitate the interpretation of data. The SEIRD model used in this study considers natural population growth, namely natural births and deaths. Three stages to evaluate the model solution in this study are constructing a mathematical model, deciding the parameter intervals, and creating an applet in Microsoft Excel. The system of differential equations is converted into a system of difference equations to obtain numerical model solutions. The results showed that the differences in the infection rates for old normal, new normal, and lockdown conditions were 24%, 4%, and 3%, respectively.

Recognizing the tremendous improvements that the integration of generative AI can bring to intelligent transportation systems, this article explores the integration of generative AI technologies in vehicular networks, focusing on their potential applications and challenges. Generative AI, with its capabilities of generating realistic data and facilitating advanced decision-making processes, enhances various applications when combined with vehicular networks, such as navigation optimization, traffic prediction, data generation, and evaluation. Despite these promising applications, the integration of generative AI with vehicular networks faces several challenges, such as real-time data processing and decision-making, adapting to dynamic and unpredictable environments, as well as privacy and security concerns. To address these challenges, we propose a multi-modality semantic-aware framework to enhance the service quality of generative AI. By leveraging multi-modal and semantic communication technologies, the framework enables the use of text and image data for creating multi-modal content, providing more reliable guidance to receiving vehicles and ultimately improving system usability and efficiency. To further improve the reliability and efficiency of information transmission and reconstruction within the framework, taking generative AI-enabled vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) as a case study, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based approach is proposed for resource allocation. Finally, we discuss potential research directions and anticipated advancements in the field of generative AI-enabled vehicular networks. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Image segmentation is an essential component in many different types of computer vision systems. Image segmentation is used in order to identify objects and boundaries within pictures. It is important to note that the success of recognition algorithms is heavily dependent on the quality of the picture segmentation, and there is yet no technique that can universally segment images. Boundary detection has a long history of being recognised as one of the most difficult challenges in the fields of image processing and pattern analysis, in particular, when it comes to applications in medical imaging. The clarity of the picture is being muddled by more information, which is the source of the problem's complexity. The creation of segmentation algorithms for medical pictures is an active field of study, and segmentation algorithms are meant to account for a variety of factors, including noise, intensity inhomogeneity, poor contrast between the lesion and the surrounding skin, and so on. There is currently no active contour model that combines the locally statistical property of being more noise-resistant, in which the intensities in the transformed domain have less overlapping in the statistics, and the locally image fitting property of extracting the local image information in order to be able to segment images with intensity inhomogeneity. This is because there is no such model. So the proposed work includes Ant colony optimization based double threshold segmentation in medical images. Performance of the proposed algorithm is more efficient, reliable and accurate than the existing algorithm. Performance parameters such as segmentation accuracy, error rate, and Dice co-efficient are used in order to conduct the evaluation of the proposed work.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need to strengthen public health *** response,the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction(UNDRR) Public Health System Resilience Scorecard(Scorecard) was applied in workshops across multiple *** aim of our research was to explore the workshop findings to develop priority strategies for strengthening public health system *** conducted a workshop from 14 to 16 March 2023,at the UNDRR Global education and Training Institute in Incheon,Republic of Korea.A sequential modified Delphi method was utilized to develop a set of prioritized resilience *** were drawn from 70 strategies identified from 13 distinct workshops in eight *** two surveys,23 strategies were *** received ratings of "High" or Very High" from89% of *** related to the inclusion of public health risks in emergency plans,integrating multidisciplinary teams into public health,enabling local transport mechanisms,and improving the ability to manage an influx of *** Scorecard provides an adaptable framework to identify and prioritize strategies for strengthening public health system *** leveraging this methodology,our study demonstrated how resilience strategies could inform disaster risk reduction funding,policies,and actions.
