Several studies suggest that sleep quality is associated with physical activities. Moreover, deep sleep time can be used to determine the sleep quality of an individual. In this work, we aim to find the association between physical activities and deep sleep time by modeling the time series data such as heart rate and a number of steps captured from a commercial wearable device. Our previous study demonstrates that deep learning-based time series modeling is well suited for our problem since the temporal patterns in the two physical parameters need to be captured to obtain more accurate results. We first preprocess our series data to have a time-step size of 10 minutes. To improve our previous effort in this modeling, we compare four different variants of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)-based models, ranging from single input to dual input models. Our result shows that the simple stacked LSTM model performs better for our data because the remaining models suffer from overfitting due to a larger number of the trained parameters. © 2023 The Authors. Sentiment analysis is crucial method in business intelligence to extract insights, which typically begin with sentiment classification. One of the latest frameworks for generating sentence embeddings for sentiment classification is LLM2Vec, which allows Transformer decoder-based models to generate sentence embeddings for text representation. Its capability is deemed language-agnostic, which, in this study, the framework is leveraged for Tokopedia tweet sentiment analysis to prove the claim. The base decoder models used in the LLM2Vec framework were Llama 3 8B, Llama 2 7B, Sheared Llama 1.3B, and Mistral 7B. Two BERT-based models, which are the Indonesian SBERT model and IndoBERT trained with the SimCSE approach, were employed as a comparison. The generated embeddings were classified using logistic regression, SVM, and MLP Classifier. Classifiers using embedding generated by LLM2Vec with Llama 3 8B and Mistral 7B achieves on-par performance with classifiers that utilize IndoBERT SimCSE embeddings, while classifiers using embeddings generated by LLM2Vec with Llama 2 7B and Sheared Llama 1.3B achieves much lower performance. Classifiers with Indonesian SBERT embeddings achieve the highest F1 score performance. Despite slightly lower performance, this study has proven the language-agnostic capability of LLM2Vec, especially with Llama 3 8B and Mistral 7B in colloquial Bahasa Indonesia sentiment analysis, since none of the base decoders were ever trained using the Bahasa Indonesia corpus. © 2024 IEEE.

Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a brain disorder that causes dementia and affects the memory, cognitive, and behavioral function. Early detection for AD can help to reduce the symptoms and slow down AD progression. Deep learning, particularly Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), a component of artificial intelligence, has demonstrated efficacy in resolving image-related issues and has gained widespread use in the analysis of medical images. CNN works well on large datasets, however, in imbalanced datasets, it can perform poorly by misclassifying minority classes. In this study, the random over-sampling technique is used to address the imbalance in the dataset, while Albumentations is used for image augmentation to prevent overfitting. The results demonstrate that the combination of these techniques leads to improved classification performance compared to traditional approaches. The proposed method has the potential to improve the accuracy of AD diagnosis and contribute to the development of effective treatments for this debilitating condition. © 2023 IEEE.

The process of using ICT to provide services to the public is known as the Indonesian e-Government system, or Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE). The e-Government initiative in Jakarta Provincial Health Office involves enhancing collaboration among public health entities for efficient data exchange and streamlined processes, especially between the Provincial and District Health Offices, public hospitals, government clinics, and primary health care centers (Puskesmas). Achieving interoperability requires standardized protocols and a well-defined architectural model to integrate data seamlessly. This study presents a provincial-level architectural model focused on improving electronic health records interoperability, aiming to promote the adoption of the national Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) health information exchange platform and enhance the integrity of health data in Jakarta. The study methodology involves conducting literature reviews, observations, and discussions with representatives from healthcare facilities to develop the e-Government architecture model and prototype of the infrastructure layer aiming to facilitate the interoperability of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) across 93 healthcare facilities, all of which are part of the SPBE users. © 2024 IEEE.

Post-pandemic and globalization have accelerated the implementation of Industry 4.0, aided by rapid technological and information advancements. Industry 4.0 has significant consequences for all institutions in developing ICT infrastructure, one of which is educational institutions. Despite the enthusiasm in all educational institutions for using ICT to improve teaching and learning, particularly in universities, integrating technology is becoming problematic. Integrating ICT infrastructure in universities is a multidimensional process involving technology and curriculum, pedagogy, institutional readiness, lecturer competence, and long-term financial planning. Because of this, it is essential to explain the adoption of technology within the scope of this study to make the most of investments made in the integrated ICT infrastructure of the university using the UTAUT2 method. © 2022 IEEE.

Mangroves play an important role in providing essential ecosystem services and resources for fisheries, offering protection against climate change and coastal erosion. Understanding the changes in mangrove forests is essential for the sustainability of the coastal ecosystem. The study aims to analyze the spatiotemporal changes of mangrove forests in Tarakan Island using Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 images from 2018 and 2023. The analysis shows changes in land cover, with an increase in aquaculture land and a decrease in other land types. The results of the accuracy assessment show good results, with an accuracy value of 0.82 and a Kappa value of 0.78 in the mangrove areas in 2023. These values indicate that the classification of land cover in the study area was reliable and accurate. The conversion of mangrove forests into aquaculture land poses a challenge for their conservation. Therefore, preserving and conserving mangrove forests in the study area is essential for maintaining the ecological balance and supporting the livelihoods of local communities. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper introduces a novel approach to stock movement prediction using multi-label classification, leveraging the interconnections between news articles and related company stocks. We present the Label-Prior Graph Attention (LPGA) model, which significantly enhances the performance of news-driven stock price movement forecasting. This model is comprised of a unique graph attention architecture, incorporating a label encoder and a text encoder, designed to effectively capture and utilize the relationships between labels in a graph-based context. Our model demonstrates superior performance over several benchmark models. The LPGA model’s efficacy is further validated through experiments on two multilabel datasets. The model outperforms established baseline models across various evaluation metrics. The success of the LPGA model in both stock movement prediction and general multi-label classification tasks indicates its potential as a versatile tool in the realm of machine learning and financial analysis. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Given a black box oracle that evaluates a univariate polynomial p(x) of a degree d, we seek its zeros, aka the roots of the equation. At FOCS 2016, Louis and Vempala approximated within an absolutely largest zero of such a real-rooted polynomial at the cost of the evaluation of Newton’s ratio (formula presented) points x and then extended this algorithm to approximation of an absolutely largest eigenvalue of a symmetric matrix at a record Boolean cost. By applying distinct approach and techniques we obtain much more general results at the same computational cost. Our use of Cauchy integrals and randomization is non-trivial and pioneering in this field. Somewhat surprisingly, the Boolean complexity of the accelerated versions of our algorithms in [25, 26] reached below the known lower bounds on the Boolean complexity of polynomial root-finding. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In general, public or private organizations or companies have used information-based technology as a support to improve business performance to be more effective and efficient in order to achieve a company's business goals. Banking companies include companies that use information technology such as Mobile Banking in their services. Mobile banking is a banking facility or service using mobile communication tools such as mobile phones, with the provision of facilities for banking transactions through mobile applications. Even though they have used a good SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), there are still many obstacles that occur, especially system problems and human errors. This can result in a high risk if it occurs continuously and will be fatal to the company's business processes. Therefore, COBIT 5 can be used as a benchmark for the IT assessment process on local bank mobile banking services. The purpose of the study is to determine the level of capability and strategy for improving risk management. The method used in this study is to focus on IT risk management with the COBIT 5 framework in the Evaluate Direct Monitoring (EDM) 3 domain, Align Plain Organize (APO) 12. From the results of the analysis, the calculation of the capability level is at Level 1 Performed Process with a score of 82.04%, thus the status has evidence as well as a systematic approach and this achievement is obtained significantly through the assessment of process attributes. © 2022 IEEE.

Online transactions are significant in the pandemic era. Using online transactions can minimize the risk of physical contact with disease transmission between buyers and sellers. However, with so many choices of items, it becomes challenging for users to decide which item suits their needs. For this reason, the recommender system was created as a handy tool. Recommender systems can help provide ratings, compare with other user data, use personal transaction history, use current events, or combine the above methods. Currently, computer science experts are constantly trying to improve recommender systems. In 2017 a new method emerged that uses transformers as one of the deep learning models. The combination of recommender systems and transformers can process extensive data, create different weights for each input data, and process data without sequentially allowing parallel processing and reducing training time significantly. Many papers in various countries are continuously trying to improve this methodology. In this literature review, we try to analyze the technology used, the dataset used, and the area where the technology is implemented. In this case, we carry out collecting papers, then filtering, classifying and analyzing, and making conclusions. © 2022 IEEE.
