The point of Agile Methodology is continuous improvement, delivering a small feature quickly without sacrificing the feature quality; every sprint must be better than the previous sprint, and better can be fewer bugs, faster development, and testing. We will present how we reduce production bugs by customizing our sprint iteration. As we know, bugs are unavoidable, there is no software engineer that can make software without a bug; however, we can reduce bugs in production if we can find bugs in lower environments as early as possible. The case study in this paper was taken from one of technology company in Indonesia, the activity was done by the Quality Engineer (QA) Team. We will show that shift-left testing can help us reduce bugs in production. Testing is part of agile methodology, and the main idea of shift-left testing is to move testing early and could be done by any team member, not only QA. We include shift-left testing in our agile methodology for one year in 2022 and compare the result in the previous year.

The technique of calculating the work required for software development is known as software development estimation. The objective cost estimating technique for organizing and carrying out Multi Account Partner (MAP) software projects, COCOMO II, was employed in this study. The MAP software is a software architecture designed to support brokerage cryptocurrency exchanges using the order book and liquidity of established crypto exchanges. This research uses data sets from MAP project development at Indonesia Crypto Exchange Platform. It aims to create a software cost estimation model for MAP software using COCOMO II so that the resulting estimation model can be used as input or reference for estimates of subsequent MAP software development. The result estimated that MAP software finished in about four to five months, with a price range for software development of $7,441 to $8,780. Further research is needed with datasets from other crypto exchanges tested to increase cost estimation accuracy using COCOMO II.

Several challenges have emerged as a result of the rapid spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. To combat the pandemic, the government has also issued general guidelines for avoiding/limiting direct contact with common people who do not live with them. However, in some unavoidable cases, such as cash transactions, the social distancing has not yet been followed properly. These type of challenges can be avoided by the introduction of e-wallets and e-money. This research study examines the transactions made using e-wallets and e-money and how these methods are increasing sales in public places. The proposed research study has attempted to utilize both qualitative and a quantitative method to observe the customer behavior while using e-wallet as a substitute for physical money when making a transaction in a shopping mall. What are the Levels of Polyphenols in Brazilian Meals? An Estimate Based on the Degree of Food Processing (Nova Classification)

Considering the importance of polyphenol intake in reducing the risk of non-communicable chronic diseases, it is essential to encourage populations around the world, especially in Brazil, to consume foods that increase the presence of these compounds in their diet. This study aimed to identify the foods with the highest total polyphenol content and classes consumed by the Brazilian population, as well as their degree of processing. The study was conducted using secondary data collected from the 2017-2018 Household Budget Survey, which included the actual per capita food consumption of the Brazilian population and the usual portion size of foods. The investigation focused on 41 food items with the highest consumption frequency. Estimates of the total polyphenol (TP) content and classes in the foods were obtained from the Phenol-Explorer database, and the degree of food processing was classified according to the NOVA classification. Based on the ranking of the main foods consumed by Brazilians with the highest total polyphenol (TP) content, coffee (169.527 mg) and beans (38.422 mg) stood out for the average per capita consumption, while corn and its preparations (187.250 mg) and oranges (72.683 mg) stood out when analyzing the portion consumed in a single occasion. Regarding the polyphenol classes, the foods with the highest amounts consumed by Brazilians predominantly contained phenolic acids. Concerning the degree of processing, based on the NOVA classification, 76% of the foods with the highest polyphenol levels belonged to the fresh and minimally processed food category, while 15% corresponded to ultra-processed foods. It is essential to encourage the consumption of traditional foods in the Brazilian diet, as these are important sources of polyphenols. It is worth emphasizing the relevance of in natura and minimally processed foods as the basis of the Brazilian diet, mainly concerning the total polyphenol contents. © 2024, The Authors. Conveyor belts are commonly used in the mining industry for efficient material transport. However, they are prone to failures such as idler anomalies, belt tears, and misalignment. Current monitoring systems only evaluate the conveyor or idle belt's condition at the installation point. This study proposes a method to detect faults in conveyor belts, specifically idler anomalies and belt deviation, using two IMUs installed at the lateral extremities of the belt to evaluate its health along its route. In a reduced-scale conveyor belt, we conducted experiments by collecting gyroscopes and accelerometer data in various scenarios, including normal conditions and anomaly situations. We modified the idlers' physical structure or changed the belt tracks to create these scenarios. We used similarity analysis techniques to compare the data collected and performed statistical hypothesis analysis to observe the influence of the anomaly scenarios on the gyroscope and accelerometer data. We used Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) for gyroscope data to compare ground truth with anomaly scenarios. For the acceleration data, we performed vibration analysis by converting the time domain data to the frequency using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and evaluating the difference in spectral density between the reference and anomaly data. Statistical hypothesis analysis revealed that anomaly scenar-ios influenced the gyroscope x-axis and z-axis more. According to the spectral density analysis of the accelerometer, it was revealed that belt misalignment on the y-axis may be detected. © 2023 IEEE.

Simulation-based learning is one of the most powerful tools to support the educational process. This learning offers an opportunity to learn based on experiences that are very similar to real-world environments. In the context of logistics, which can be considered a complex system, significant efforts are required to enhance students' understanding and practical skills. For that reason, simulations are used so that benefits such as skills and knowledge in the field of logistics can be achieved. However, there are currently several challenges in developing simulation-based learning in higher education. These challenges include the need for simulations that are appropriate for the current learning context, where the students are generally from Generation Z, and how to improve their learning quality in the era of Industry 4.0. To address these challenges, more suitable simulations need to be developed, and higher education institutions must carefully examine how to develop them, including identifying the essential components in the development of simulations for logistics learning. In this research, a systematic literature review using the PRISMA method and also creating a conceptual model of simulation that better meets the current needs of logistics education will be proposed. The results of this research can be used as a basis for developing updated simulations to better prepare students for the challenges of Industry 4.0.

This work describes the investigation of planar waveguide crossings using metaheuristic methods associated with the two-dimensional finite element method (2D-FEM). An optimization and measurement process are performed on the power transmission and crosstalk of the waveguide crossings and then the values calculated are compared with other studies in the literature. The best performing adjusted crossing is optimally designed by applying the following metaheuristics: Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), and a hybrid algorithm combining the Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure and Simulated Annealing (GRASP-SA). Transmission efficiency results higher than 97% and crosstalk below the -50 dB over a wide wavelength range, with a footprint of $\mathbf{4.9}\times \mathbf{4.9}\ \boldsymbol{\mu} \mathbf{m}^{\mathbf{2}}$ .

Myocarditis, characterized by inflammation of the heart muscle, has seen a notable 62.2% increase in incidence over the past three decades, leading to 324,490 deaths in 2019. Despite advancements in understanding its etiology, several critical questions remain unresolved, highlighting the need for improved patient treatment strategies. Computational methods play a crucial role in unraveling the complex interactions between pathogens and the immune system. This study explores the use of Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) to accelerate a newly developed model for myocardial edema formation in acute infectious myocarditis. The model describes the concentrations of pathogens and leukocytes using a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Our findings demonstrate a mean computational speedup of 5.93, while maintaining a Root Mean Squared Error of 0.0015. These results indicate that PINNs can accurately replicate the ODE system’s solutions, offering substantial computational efficiency for this application.

Data coding and decoding are essential steps in communicating and interpreting information. These encodings are basic units of data representation, which can be combined and are generally organized by a layout of a data visualization technique, a common scenario for digital data visualizations. Technological advances in manipulating materials allowed us to represent data physically, creating an opportunity to use other senses, in addition to vision and hearing, to encode and decode data, such as touch, smell, and taste. In everyday life, touch is already widely used to decode information with few values using vibrations, such as turning devices on/off, communicating alerts on devices, and providing feedback in interaction in video games, among others. Still, it is generally not used to decode a larger set of values. Therefore, this article aims to investigate the encoding and decoding of data through tactile vibrations, identifying the minimum and maximum limits of tactile perception without causing discomfort and minimum intervals that differentiate two consecutive vibration values. This preliminary information allowed us to understand how to map data using vibrotactile scales. The data are mapped according to their value, changing the vibration frequency of the motors. Two stages of testing were carried out. The first aims to find the limits of tactile perception and create the vibrotactile scale, and the second aims to perform data analysis tasks, such as comparison, ordering, and identification. The results demonstrate that users considered find minimum and maximum vibration values tasks easy, while clustering and sorting tasks were classified as the most complex.

Crowdfunding has become a popular term these days, and people usually do crowdfunding to raise a certain amount of money for a specific cause. There are already many popular crowdfunding portals in Indonesia where people can send support to anyone with money. When talking about crowdfunding, most people probably think of providing support to others in need, for example, those who are sick and poor. However, crowdfunding is not always like that. Crowdfunding can be applied to any field, especially in the creative industries, as the people in this report will discuss. If you do not know it beforehand, the creative industry sometimes struggles with copyright and online piracy issues. These problems will soon be very detrimental to the artists as creators. Another problem often sought is the artists themselves, especially those still amateurs. They are often hesitant to share their works and promote themselves because they do not know-how. In this case, crowdfunding application development will be necessary to facilitate all artists and content creators (such as content creators, vloggers, or even game developers) to gain support from their fans and promote themselves to become more popular. © 2022 IEEE.
