An e-Commerce company has been using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for several years, but is still constrained in its implementation, this is reflected in the number of issue/change request tickets submitted by users who have not been able to reach ideal conditions. To overcome this problem, we need an appropriate reference model, the ERP system user acceptance model in companies. The study conducted factors that influence the level of acceptance of SAP ERP users in the XYZ group to then determine a model that is able to explain practically the level of ERP system user acceptance, which in turn can produce concrete proposals to increase ERP system user acceptance. Research is quantitative descriptive using factor analysis and regression analysis methods. The research method uses a questionnaire with a total of 107 valid respondents coming from 8 company names under the XYZ group in 6 Southeast Asian countries. The conclusion of the study is that there are 24 indicators and 4 factors that influence user acceptance of the SAP ERP system. These four factors are the low contribution of the ERP system, the quality of ERP systems and data, the development of ERP systems, and also the low quality of ERP system supporters. It is hoped that by optimizing the value of the 4 factors, the XYZ group can increase user acceptance of the SAP ERP system so that the system can provide benefits expected by the company to be competitive advantage. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

At present, few validated clinical tests provide the assessment of mobility in patients with Parkinson's Disease (PD) during the execution of complex tasks. To verify the feasibility of a virtual environment based on a Microsoft Kinect sensor as a tool to evaluate the functional mobility of people with PD. An analytical, observational and transversal pilot study was held. The sample consisted of 12 patients with PD and 12 healthy young adults. All participants were evaluated on gait tests and in the virtual environment. The System Usability Scale (SUS) was applied to the PD group to evaluate the virtual environment usability. Significant differences were found in groups' performance in the virtual environment. Regular and strong relations were found on patients' performance on gait tests and virtual environment tests. The virtual environment usability was considered acceptable among patients with PD. The virtual environment developed is potentially viable as a functional mobility assessment tool for patients with PD.

The nematode Caenorhabditis elegans has been established as a modeling organism in biomedical research for several decades. Its hermaphrodite germ line encompasses key developmental concepts like stem cell differentiation and apoptosis;therefore it provides a good model system for these basic concepts. Here, we have extended and refined our previous computational model, which encompasses developmental landmarks and the resulting movement of germ cells along the gonadal tube. We have used the molecular dynamics (MD) framework to model the physical movement of cells due to the force arising from cell divisions. The model simulation was calibrated with experimental time and it is in accordance with experimental observations. In addition, the model provides means for testing hypotheses regarding the behaviour of mutated germ lines and the potential mechanisms causing physiological apoptosis, which are difficult to assess experimentally. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

The ability to capture the chemical signatures of biomolecules(i.e.,electron-transfer dynamics)in living cells will provide an entirely new perspective on biology and *** can be accomplished using nanoscale optical antennas that can collect,resonate and focus light from outside the cell and emit molecular ***,we describe biologically inspired nanoscale optical antennas that utilize the unique topologies of plant viruses(and thus,are called gold plant viruses)for molecular fingerprint *** electromagnetic calculations for these gold viruses indicate that capsid morphologies permit high amplification of optical scattering energy compared to a smooth *** experimental measurements of various gold viruses based on four different plant viruses,we observe highly enhanced optical cross-sections and the modulation of the resonance wavelength depending on the viral ***,in label-free molecular imaging,we successfully obtain higher sensitivity(by a factor of up to 10^(6))than can be achieved using similar-sized *** virtue of the inherent functionalities of capsids and the plasmonic characteristics of the gold layer,a gold virus-based antenna will enable cellular targeting,imaging and drug delivery.

We have successfully demonstrated, for the first time, an innovative back-end-of-line (BEOL) compatible electro-optic modulator and memory (EOMM) based on Lithium Niobate on Insulator (LNOI) micro-ring resonator (MRR) integrated with Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconate Hf0.5Zr0.5O (HZO) non-volatile analog memory. High non-volatile memory and modulation performances are both achieved in a single compact device, exhibiting high extinction ratio of 13.3 dB, excellent efficiency of 66pm/V, stable nine-state switching, record-high endurance exceeding 109 cycles. This is accomplished by utilizing Pockels effect in LNOI, induced by electric-field effect from remnant HZO ferroelectric polarization. We studied the system implementation of reconfigurable chiplet-interposer photonic interconnect, enabled by the EOMM and EOMM with hybrid thermal-optical modulation. Our model shows a potential 70% energy efficiency improvement over conventional electrical interposer interconnect. We have also tested the integration of the EOMM with POET technologies' 400G Tx/Rx optical interposer chip and studied a limited scale demonstration of the EOMM device. © 2023 IEEE.

Recent data reveal that a higher percentage of Black women (9.7%) are enrolled in college than any other group, topping Asian women (8.7%), White women (7.1%) and White men (6.1%). Despite these gains in college attendance, Black women are often underrepresented in the fields of engineering and computer science. This paper presents the findings from a qualitative study that investigated the identity and experiences of Black women who are pursuing doctoral degrees in engineering and computer science. This research is grounded on the tenet that one cannot effectively serve or impact a community until he/she genuinely understands the issues and challenges facing the people who are its members. This work explores how Black female doctoral students persist in environments where they are grossly underrepresented. Content analysis is used to examine interview data obtained from 13 Black women who are pursing doctoral degrees in engineering and computer science. This paper concludes with some of the key challenges these women face in their programs on a daily basis. The goal of this research is to bring awareness to not only the challenges, but also potential strategies to increase the retention and persistence of Black women in engineering and computer science across all academic levels. © American Society for Engineering Education, 2018.

This Research to Practice Full Paper presents a proposal to teach the software measurement process from a gamification class that makes use of games elements and serious game. This class aims to encourage interaction in the classroom and thereby foster interest in the process. In addition, the proposal was applied in two classes with a total of 22 students from a Federal University in Brazil. As a result, one of the experiments yielded a level of 80% of the evaluations with positive criteria for the class using the gamification. Finally, the gamification had a positive effect on those involved when it is not only the use of game elements in a non-gaming context, but it is the intelligent use of this concept. In conclusion, the proposal helped in the teaching process of software measurement from the creation of a competitive and collaborative environment with the core in classroom interactions.

We describe our methods to address both tasks of the ISIC 2019 challenge. The goal of this challenge is to provide the diagnostic for skin cancer using images and meta-data. There are nine classes in the dataset, nonetheless, one of them is an outlier and is not present on it. To tackle the challenge, we apply an ensemble of classifiers, which has 13 convolutional neural networks (CNN), we develop two approaches to handle the outlier class and we propose a straightforward method to use the meta-data along with the images. Throughout this report, we detail each methodology and parameters to make it easy to replicate our work. The results obtained are in accordance with the previous challenges and the approaches to detect the outlier class and to address the meta-data seem to be work properly. Osteoclasts are multinucleated, giant cells derived from myeloid progenitors. While receptor activator of NF-κB ligand(RANKL)stimulation is the primary driver of osteoclast differentiation, additional signaling further contributes to osteoclast ***, we demonstrate that immunoglobulin superfamily member 11(Ig SF11), whose expression increases during osteoclast differentiation, regulates osteoclast differentiation through interaction with postsynaptic density protein 95(PSD-95), a scaffold protein with multiple protein interaction domains. Ig SF11 deficiency in vivo results in impaired osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption but no observed defect in bone formation. Consequently, Ig SF11-deficient mice exhibit increased bone *** in vitro osteoclast culture systems, we show that Ig SF11 functions through homophilic interactions. Additionally, we demonstrate that impaired osteoclast differentiation in Ig SF11-deficient cells is rescued by full-length Ig SF11 and that the Ig SF11-PSD-95 interaction requires the 75 C-terminal amino acids of Ig SF11. Our findings reveal a critical role for Ig SF11 during osteoclast differentiation and suggest a role for Ig SF11 in a receptor-and signal transduction molecule-containing protein complex.
