Recently developed iterative and deep learning-based approaches to computer-generated holography (CGH) have been shown to achieve high-quality photorealistic 3D images with spatial light modulators. However, such approaches remain overly cumbersome for patterning sparse collections of target points across a photoresponsive volume in applications including biological microscopy and material processing. Specifically, in addition to requiring heavy computation that cannot accommodate real-time operation in mobile or hardware-light settings, existing sampling-dependent 3D CGH methods preclude the ability to place target points with arbitrary precision, limiting accessible depths to a handful of planes. Accordingly, we present a non-iterative point cloud holography algorithm that employs fast deterministic calculations in order to efficiently allocate patches of SLM pixels to different target points in the 3D volume and spread the patterning of all points across multiple time frames. Compared to a matched-performance implementation of the iterative Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm, our algorithm's relative computation speed advantage was found to increase with SLM pixel count, reaching >100,000x at 512x512 array format. Laser wakefield acceleration (LWFA) may achieve TeV/m gradients using high-density solid-state plasmas as accelerating media. However, the application of bulk solid materials requires attosecond laser pulses, such as X-ray lasers, to drive wakefields at these high densities. Additionally, the short wakefield wavelengths associated with solid-state plasmas greatly limit the accelerating length. An alternative approach employs 2D carbon-based nanomaterials, like graphene or carbon nanotubes (CNTs), configured into structured targets. These nanostructures are designed with voids or low-density regions to effectively reduce the overall plasma density. This reduction enables the use of longer-wavelength lasers and also extends the plasma wavelength and the acceleration length. In this study, we present, to our knowledge, the first numerical demonstration of electron acceleration via self-injection into a wakefield bubble driven by an infrared laser pulse in structured CNT targets, similar to the behavior observed in gaseous plasmas for LWFA in the nonlinear (or bubble) regime. Using the PIConGPU code, bundles of CNTs are modeled in a 3D geometry as 25 nm-thick carbon tubes with an initial density of 1022 cm−3. The carbon plasma is ionized by a three-cycle, 800 nm wavelength laser pulse with a peak intensity of 1021 W cm−2, achieving an effective plasma density of 1020 cm−3. The same laser also drives the wakefield bubble, responsible for the electron self-injection and acceleration. Simulation results indicate that fs-long electron bunches with hundreds of pC charge can be self-injected and accelerated at gradients exceeding 1 TeV/m. Both charge and accelerating gradient figures are unprecedented when compared with LWFA in gaseous plasma. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

In recent times wind energy generation has stood out due its integration with traditional electricity grids. Many investigations addressed wind speed forecasting since it presents high volatile and intermittent behavior. Due to this, such a source shows accuracy challenges in relation to its prediction. In this work, a hybrid model based on error correction is proposed, combining the linear Autoregressive and Moving average (ARMA) model and the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP). The approaches was applied in two databases referring to the Brazilian northeast -a prominent region in wind energy. The results reveal that the proposed hybrid model showed good results in comparison to linear and neural-based methods.

Myocarditis, characterized by inflammation of the heart muscle, has seen a notable 62.2% increase in incidence over the past three decades, leading to 324,490 deaths in 2019. Despite advancements in understanding its etiology, several critical questions remain unresolved, highlighting the need for improved patient treatment strategies. Computational methods play a crucial role in unraveling the complex interactions between pathogens and the immune system. This study explores the use of Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) to accelerate a newly developed model for myocardial edema formation in acute infectious myocarditis. The model describes the concentrations of pathogens and leukocytes using a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Our findings demonstrate a mean computational speedup of 5.93, while maintaining a Root Mean Squared Error of 0.0015. These results indicate that PINNs can accurately replicate the ODE system’s solutions, offering substantial computational efficiency for this application.

OBJECTIVE: Internationally, primary care practice had to transform in response to the COVID pandemic. Informatics issues included access, privacy, and security, as well as patient concerns of equity, safety, quality, and trust. This paper describes progress and lessons learned. METHODS: IMIA Primary Care Informatics Working Group members from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and United States developed a standardised template for collection of information. The template guided a rapid literature review. We also included experiential learning from primary care and public health perspectives. RESULTS: All countries responded rapidly. Common themes included rapid reductions then transformation to virtual visits, pausing of non-COVID related informatics projects, all against a background of non-standardized digital development and disparate territory or state regulations and guidance. Common barriers in these four and in less-resourced countries included disparities in internet access and availability including bandwidth limitations when internet access was available, initial lack of coding standards, and fears of primary care clinicians that patients were delaying care despite the availability of televisits. CONCLUSIONS: Primary care clinicians were able to respond to the COVID crisis through telehealth and electronic record enabled change. However, the lack of coordinated national strategies and regulation, assurance of financial viability, and working in silos remained limitations. The potential for primary care informatics to transform current practice was highlighted. More research is needed to confirm preliminary observations and trends noted. IMIA and Thieme. Monthly rainfall analysis and forecasts are made to be able to provide a clear picture of the rain and climate conditions that have occurred and will occur in the territory of Indonesia. The information can be known in an area that has the most substantial maximum rainfall and in an area which has the lowest rainfall described and presented spatial pattern by using the ArcView-GIS. The purpose of making monthly rainfall forecasts is to be used and utilized by users, especially in the agriculture and irrigation sectors to plan and make decisions within the next 1 to 3 months related to climatic conditions, especially rainfall. In this paper, we use annual rainfall data in six location East Java. We analysis ENSO phenomena as well as rainfall forecasting in January - March 2018 by using generalized space-time autoregressive and get an accuracy MAPE out samp;e amount 2.95% dan RMSE out sample amount 4.77. © 2018 IEEE.

Formaldehyde is a ubiquitous contaminant in the indoor environment that is both a carcinogen and irritant. The goal of this project is to develop a smartphone-based app for use by citizen scientists or researchers that can be paired with low-cost colorimetric badges for detection of indoor formaldehyde. We conducted both national and geographically-targeted surveys prior to app design. We have subsequently developed the app and conducted a beta test. Surveys of 147 individuals indicated broad public interest in formaldehyde testing using smartphone technology. Testing of the badges indicated consistent change in illumination with increasing formaldehyde exposure. Beta testing indicated users were able to navigate the existing app, and highlighted areas for improvement including incorporation of public surveys. In life, various challenges and problems faced by deaf people such as communication skills and other problems, including emotional, mental, and societal development However, technology is needed that can help the process. This Smart Application try to build communication between the deaf to share thoughts in group chats, including getting information about the deaf, so that the communication learning process for the deaf becomes easier. The proposed model is using Unified Modeling Languages (UML) diagrams, such as case diagrams for the current proposed idea process and class diagrams for relational tables or database stores. In addition, the User interface (UI) is implemented in this research work, Personal Home Pages (PHP) as a web server programming and MySQL database as an open-source database.
