Because financial time series forecasting is sensitive to political, economic, and social factors, it is not a simple task. As a result, those who make investments in currency exchange and financial markets typically search for reliable models that can guarantee they will maximize their profile and minimize their losses. Fortunately, many studies have used a method from Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) called Backpropagation, could improve the predictive accuracy of the behavior of the financial data over time. This paper aims to forecast stock share prediction from closing value of PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk, and PT. Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk. The results show that the using Backpropagation gives the closest result. And for the rating of judgement for cast accuracy, it exceeded 10% accuracy, which means high accurate from the prediction. For further checking, comparing the results of research from Victor's results, it almost hits the same accuracy percentage. Which means, these prediction are accurate enough to do time series forecasting. © 2023 IEEE.

In this note, a new structure of Right Coprime Factorization (RCF) for nonlinear systems with uncertainty has been proposed based on a time-varying Bezout identity. This is inspired from the concept of dilation from homogeneous theory. However, this time-varying dilation in right coprime factorized uncertain nonlinear systems is not limited to homogeneous plants but is integrated into Bezout identity so as to ensure the bounded input bounded output (BIBO) stability of uncertain systems. Additionally, simulation results of two numerical examples are exhibited to validate the proposition. © 2024 IEEE.

RobustFace: a novel image restoration technique for face adversarial robustness improvement

Machine Learning (ML) models, particularly Deep Learning (DL), have made rapid progress and achieved significant milestones across various applications, including numerous safety-critical contexts. However, these models have recently been discovered to be susceptible to adversarial attacks, which are well-crafted input images. The primary objective of this paper is to propose a novel methodology titled "RobustFace", which is based on deep image restoration networks, that significantly improves the facial adversarial robustness of various image-classification models. Adversarial images are created using the Private Fast Gradient Sign Method (P-FGSM), StyleGAN and Fast Landmark Manipulation (FLM) methods. The adversarial images are then enhanced using deep image restoration networks to bring back them into the original space. The encoded weighted local magnitude patterns (WLMP) are extracted and provided to different types of classifiers to detect facial adversarial images from the clean images. The effectiveness of RobustFace has been demonstrated on two real-world datasets and experimental outcomes show that it significantly improves facial adversarial robustness on all evaluating classifiers. It improves the highest classification accuracy from 98.75% to 99.00% on P-FGSM attacks, from 77.94% to 85.25% on adversarial attacks generated by StyleGAN and from 65.52% to 69.50% for FLM attacks. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The characteristics of the disease that spreads quickly, the number of sufferers, and the severity of sufferers of Coronavirus Disease 2019 are components of uncertainty during the pandemic. In an uncertain situation, prediction models for the need for drugs and medical devices are of great concern to policymakers in government, drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmaceutical installation managers to maintain drug availability. Drug need prediction models that rely on historical data components on drug use are no longer reliable. Learning from the COVID-19 case, epidemiological variables correlate with predicting drug demand. This research includes data on ten major diseases in private hospital units for 2017-2022 to complete historical data on drug use. This study implements the Random Forest algorithm. The research method uses literature studies and processing field data from pharmaceutical installations. The analysis process uses KNIME software. The level of accuracy in predicting drug demand from historical drug use data was 77.272%, increasing to 81.818% with a model for predicting drug demand based on consumption cycles and classification of drug therapy groups. Furthermore, predictions of drug demand can consider variables recorded in medical records related to the seasonal frequency of diseases. © 2023 IEEE.

The use of technology and information devices contributes to global warming. This issue has also become a concern for UN institutions, as stated in international environmental agreements, which aim to stabilize greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere at a level that prevents anthropogenic and dangerous disturbances to the environmental system. This research uses a line of code derived from the tanjak dataset, a student project from 2003 to 2020, numbering 500. This research aims to apply energy consumption efficiency to reduce CO2 emissions produced using computer devices, especially in developing software. The approach used in this research is clean code, which can provide benefits in the form of a line of code that is easy to read, understand, test, and maintain so that it can create savings in energy use. In the test, the line of code used was 1,072,089, producing an energy of 82,152.18 Joules, minus the line of code comments, which was 76,750, producing an energy of 2,971.25 Joules. Initial research results show that the clean code approach can be used to save energy usage, with the result of the line of code used being 995,339 and producing 79,180 Joules of energy, so it can affect reducing CO2 emissions when implementing software development. © 2024 IEEE.

Visual Question Answering (VQA) research seeks to create AI systems to answer natural language questions in images, yet VQA methods often yield overly simplistic and short answers. This paper aims to advance the field by introducing Visual Question Explanation (VQE), which enhances the ability of VQA to provide detailed explanations rather than brief responses and address the need for more complex interaction with visual content. We first created an MLVQE dataset from a 14-week streamed video machine learning course, including 885 slide images, 110,407 words of transcripts, and 9,416 designed question-answer (QA) pairs. Next, we proposed a novel SparrowVQE, a small 3 billion parameters multimodal model. We trained our model with a three-stage training mechanism consisting of multimodal pre-training (slide images and transcripts feature alignment), instruction tuning (tuning the pre-trained model with transcripts and QA pairs), and domain fine-tuning (fine-tuning slide image and QA pairs). Eventually, our SparrowVQE can understand and connect visual information using the SigLIP model with transcripts using the Phi-2 language model with an MLP adapter. Experimental results demonstrate that our SparrowVQE achieves better performance in our developed MLVQE dataset and outperforms state-of-the-art methods in the other five benchmark VQA datasets. In massive MIMO systems, achieving optimal end-to-end transmission encompasses various aspects such as power control, modulation schemes, path selection, and accurate channel estimation. Nonetheless, optimizing resource allocation remains a significant challenge. In path selection, the direct link is a straightforward link between the transmitter and the receiver. On the other hand, the indirect link involves reflections, diffraction, or scattering, often due to interactions with objects or obstacles. Relying exclusively on one type of link can lead to suboptimal and limited performance. Link management (LM) is emerging as a viable solution, and accurate channel estimation provides essential information to make informed decisions about transmission parameters. In this paper, we study LM and channel estimation that flexibly adjust the transmission ratio of direct and indirect links to improve generalization, using a denoising variational autoencoder with attention modules (DVAE-ATT) to enhance sum rate. Our experiments show significant improvements in IRS-assisted millimeter-wave MIMO systems. Incorporating LM increased the sum rate and reduced MSE by approximately 9%. Variational autoencoders (VAE) outperformed traditional autoencoders in the spatial domain, as confirmed by heatmap analysis. Additionally, our investigation of DVAE-ATT reveals notable differences in the temporal domain with and without attention mechanisms. Finally, we analyze performance across varying numbers of users and ranges. Across various distances—5m, 15m, 25m, and 35m—performance improvements averaged 6%, 11%, 16%, and 22%, respectively. © 2023 CCBY.

Racing is one of the most prominent genres in the modern video game industry, where the games within the genre enable players to use any vehicle of their choice and win through doing series of action within gameplay. Thus, it made the genre popular over the years, spawning many famous titles such as Split Second back in 2010. Like every other video game title, Split Second also invokes the player emotion and instinct during its gameplay session. To understand the emotion and instinct aspect present in players of the game, we will use 6-11 framework which focuses on the two aspects. As part of the conclusion, Split Second game involves instincts such as Competition, Collecting, and Survival, with emotions including Fear, Pride, Joy, and Excitement, which can be found from its vast single player game modes. © 2024 The Authors.

Conventional flood forecasting methods can be roughly classified as physics-based models and data-oriented models, which both require parameter optimization. In parameter optimization, a search is generally done to minimize the magnitude of overall errors. However, under- and overestimation errors are not equivalent in flood forecasting since underestimation of the water level leads to delays in decision making. We propose a risk-aware forecasting method that uses a weighted loss function. We applied the proposed method to both physics-based models and machine learning models and compared the prediction results to clarify the difference in the prediction results according to the base model used. The results show that the model optimized by the weighted loss function reduced the underestimation error while maintaining the overall error. © 2023 Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers. Virtualization technologies are still growing bigger and faster. Despite the greatness of its advancement, the costume industry is still very accessible when it comes to real trials. Off-the-shelf stuff are inadequate details for the desired individual to assess its in-depth utility for each garment trying on for a second, including custom stuff are much harder to try out right away. To this end, 2D image-based 3D reconstruction inclusive of touchable-virtualized space is accessible easier to stuff details for mans' decision making in purchasing. We establish the overall end-to-end pipeline from reconstruction until visualization for one instance to be triable on its stuff for a moment. As an expectation, our proposed approach can bring objects into the experimental area and use them immediately without any obstacle. © 2023 IEEE.
