The present review delves into the escalating significance of cybersecurity within the domain of Ocean Renewable Energy (ORE), with emphasis on wave energy power plants. The susceptibility of crucial infrastructure to cyber threats has been amplified by the escalation in interconnectivity and digitalization of energy systems. The absence of a thorough academic investigation into cybersecurity remedies for ocean energy systems has been recognized, despite the pressing demand. This research conforms to the systematic literature review standards established by Kitchenham and Charters. The study investigates three principal areas of interest: smart ocean, cybersecurity for renewable energy systems, and marine data security. The results highlight the necessity of improving the ability of power plants to withstand cyber attacks and emphasize the potential of various technologies, including the Internet of Things, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing in achieving this objective. The aforementioned analysis emphasizes the importance of ongoing exploration and advancement in cybersecurity protocols. It recommends that forthcoming efforts concentrate on quantum computing and policy frameworks that facilitate the establishment of robust, all-encompassing, and just cybersecurity resolutions in the domain of ocean energy. © 2023 European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference.

Fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) is a useful cryptographic primitive. It makes a third-party manipulate data in the ciphertext space and therefore is a key technology for privacy-preserving outsourcing services. Theoretically, FHE can evaluate any circuits. However, the implementation is not trivial. The reason it lacks lots of basic operations like conditional check and branch control. In this paper, we focus on extended Euclidean algorithm operation over FHE. We introduce the problems we encounter and show how we solve these issues. We implement our design and evaluate its performance on a real computer. Coffee beans are one of the high-value commodities in Indonesia, but the sorting method for the quality of coffee beans still uses visual methods and sieves with mechanical machines. This study aims to provide an alternative to classifying coffee beans using Deep Learning algorithms, such as the ResNet-18 and MobileNetV2. The dataset used is USK-COFFEE which consists of two classes, the normal coffee bean class, and the defect coffee bean class. The models were trained using the balanced and imbalanced datasets, meaning that two scenarios were performed. From the results of this study, the accuracy value for the ResNet-18 model was 91.50% when trained on the balanced dataset and 90.87% on the imbalanced dataset. It outperformed the MobileNetV2 architecture, which only achieved 0.8125 and 0.8112 accuracy scores when trained on the balanced and imbalanced datasets, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Solar-powered dryers are still expensive and difficult to obtain for farmers with medium to low production capacity. For this reason, it is necessary to develop technology on a solar-powered dryer with a solar panel capacity of 200WP is equipped with a maximum power point tracker as an integrated solar collector with a photovoltaic system. The system in this solar-powered dryer consists of a solar panel tracker, a rotating aluminum cylinder net, a photovoltaic tracker, a battery bank, a microcontroller, and a DC/AC inverter. This system improves the performance of solar panels in the drying process of Moringa leaves. This design is expect to be the right system to ensure maximum results by providing solar radiation energy in the drying process of agricultural products. The aims goal to minimize problems in the drying of agricultural products experienced by farmers using an automatic dual-energy solar-powered dryer as a development innovation for the drying process. This study uses an experimental methodology and field data collection using a solar-powered dryer that has been analyzed and measured to obtain data comparisons. shows the maximum data of voltage and power response in positioning photovoltaic to produce the increased output power of photovoltaic array. Maximum application of powerpoint tracker on microcontroller based dual energy solar powered dryer on solar panels for drying moringa leaves produces the advantage of maximum energy absorption in solar panels and shortens the time in the drying process of moringa leaves. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

One way to increase solar photovoltaic penetration in the grid is management of voltage fluctuations. This is because a photovoltaic plant cannot be interconnected to the grid if it causes voltage violations. Voltage violation is where voltage exceeds the acceptable range. Often, grid operators request photovoltaic plant owners to regulate voltage sufficiently with expensive and space-consuming static Var compensators. Unfortunately, this sometimes makes the project less feasible. This paper argues that there are better ways to regulate voltage. We ran a simulation with a 70 MWp photovoltaic plant as an addition to the grid. Without voltage regulation, voltage violations were found to be significant. This paper found that oversizing the inverter sufficiently would remove all voltage violations without deploying a static Var compensator. This is often a cheaper and space-saving solution for voltage management. This paper argues that economics and spatial efficiency of reactive power compensation devices is key to increasing photovoltaic penetration. © 2023 IEEE.

Industrial production and packaging face significant challenges, such as product damage, color changes, and the presence of foreign bodies. These issues greatly impact product quality, profitability, and marketability, leading to increased consumer complaints. To address these concerns, this study presents a novel method for classifying Taralli biscuits using image processing techniques. The research encompasses a dataset of 4,900 images, featuring four types of defects: no defect, defect-shape, defect-object, and defect-color. Leveraging advanced deep learning architectures, including MobileNet-v2 and DenseNet-201, the classification process achieves impressive accuracy rates of 98.71% and 99.39% respectively. By automating the detection of biscuit damage, the proposed method enhances quality control and inspection processes within the food industry. The combination of state-of-the-art image processing and deep learning techniques in this research provides an effective solution for automatically detecting and categorizing biscuit defects. © 2023 IEEE.

Understanding cellular functions, particularly in their intricate complexity, can greatly benefit from the spatial mapping of diverse molecules through multitarget single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM). Existing methodologies, primarily restricting the encoding dimensions to color and lifetime or requiring cyclic staining, often involve broad chromatic detection, specialized optical configurations, or sophisticated labeling techniques. Here, we propose a simple approach called buffer-exchange stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy (beSTORM), which introduces an additional dimension to differentiate between single molecules irrespective of their spectral properties. This method leverages the distinguishable photoblinking responses to distinct buffer conditions, offering a straightforward yet effective means of fluorophore discrimination. Through buffer exchanges, beSTORM achieves multitarget SMLM imaging with minimal crosstalk. Direct integration with expansion microscopy (ExM) demonstrates its capability to resolve up to six proteins at the molecular level within a single emission color without chromatic aberration. Overall, beSTORM presents a highly compatible imaging platform, promising significant advancements in highly multiplexed nanoscopy for exploring multiple targets in biological systems with nanoscale precision. © 2024 The Authors. Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) is a popular communication protocol for IoT, in which Publishers and Subscribers communicate through a single broker. Therefore, a distributed broker is necessary to accommodate multiple Publishers and Subscribers at multiple locations. Previous studies have used a method in which multiple brokers are connected in a ring to share information. However, in this method, the processing delay time increases as the number of brokers and Hops increases. In this study, we propose a direct connection method between distributed brokers that reduces the processing delay time. We also use an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the communication protocol used to connect brokers. This article explores the development and implementation of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems to address improper and mixed waste disposal challenges. Despite the existence of categorized waste bins, individuals often dispose of waste improperly, hindering the sorting and decomposition processes. Integrating advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), futuristic bins offer innovative solutions. Futuristic bins with automated sorting systems facilitate accurate waste sorting, reduce mixing, and optimize waste disposal. These bins increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize collection routes while promoting environmental cleanliness and awareness of waste management. The article describes the research methodology, including preliminary study, specification requirements analysis, prototype development, and testing. The results demonstrate the implemented system's accuracy and real-time object detection capabilities. The study also acknowledges limitations and suggests future research directions, including improving communication between object detection algorithms and microcontrollers. Overall, the development of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems represents a significant advancement in waste management, with the potential to revolutionize waste management systems and create sustainable cities and communities. © 2024 IEEE.

The sugar industry is facing challenges in increasing productivity to meet consumer demand. One opportunity for productivity improvement lies in ensuring sugar content. This study proposes a hybrid model to predict sugar content by considering uncertainty factors. A hybrid model combining fuzzy subtractive clustering, and a fuzzy inference system is proposed to predict sugar content. The clustering results using silhouette and fuzzy subtractive clustering successfully identified 6 cluster centres from 2225 datasets collected in a sugar industry in East Java Province. The hybrid inference engine model is designed with fuzzy rules derived from the clustered data. Two inference models are developed: triangular and Gaussian fuzzy numbers. The testing results indicate that the hybrid model with triangular fuzzy numbers shows the smallest error with an R2 value of 0.95. This model is possible to applied in the sugar industry for decision makers in improving productivity with taking attention into uncertain factors influencing sugar content. © 2024 The Authors.
