Starting in 2002, the development blueprint of the cultural creative industry has been proposed by the administrator in Taiwan, and which includes the creative life industry policy of transforming the traditional industry. Generally speaking, the creative life industry focuses on the inborn features such as the culture, the technology and the knowledge of traditional industries. When these features are used to combine with the contemporary living style and culture, they provide the learning and experience of the ordinary customers through the process of the cultural industrialization. Eventually, it corresponds to the development tendency of the experiential experience. In this study, Incense Artistic Culture Garden locates Shin-gang town, Chia-yi County, Taiwan, is exemplified. This study conducts literature review, environmental behavior observation and interview in order to figure out what are the fundamental elements of the experience design in the garden and the strategy of creating the experience of the visitors. The main conclusions are as follows: 1. The group of the experience design elements depends on the blueprint of the experiential theme of the business. 2. The use of the experience design elements governs or is governed by the other and they depend on each other. 3. The life experiences composed of the experience design elements can further the formation of the style society.

Even though a large variety of innovative façade technologies has been developed to refine the control of solar radiation and increase the amount of useful natural illumination, their effective implementation in buildings is still uncommon. Increasing the awareness of designers to their existence and facilitating an understanding of their potential thus appears as a priority. An important step in that direction is to make the search and selection process more intuitive. This paper proposes a way to address this issue with a new database format. It focuses on the generation of visual strategies to express technical aspects and performance data with a more intuitive and architecturally based language, adapted to a designer's needs and respectful of a realistic design process. The project takes shape as a freely accessible online database of light-interacting technologies for envelopes, available at ***, that provides an efficient meeting space for professionals in the field.

A software tool that facilitates the teaching/learning of control engineering is presented. This tool consists of a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that communicates an industrial PID controller with personal computer. The control system can be implemented online in Matlab/Simulink and compiled ANSI C scripts. With this HMI, students can easily implement several control strategies such as feedback, cascade, feedforward, fuzzy based controller, etc. Using the HMI, the students do not need to have specialized knowledge on electrical or computer sciences since all the complexities of programming and electrical coupling are hidden. Students can learn faster several approaches using real systems overcoming the gap between theory and practice.

This paper presents an educational strategy for Mechatronics laboratories education which integrates the Tecnológico de Monterrey Educational Model, industrial technologies and equipment, hands-on activities, laboratory equipment based on design for Mechatronics Learning (DFML) and an e-Learning platform to improve communication between teachers and students. An Automation of Manufacturing System Laboratory course is described where an industrial Flexible Manufacturing Cells (FMC) is used by the students. This industrial FMC was designed based on academic goals for mechatronics engineering students. Students have an intensive active participation in the experimental sessions. Students can integrate new sensors and actuators with industrial equipments such as Robot, CNC, ASRS , and so on. This feature allows students many independents layout combinations that are typical in industrial environments. The proposed educational strategy, based on industrial equipment designed to mechatronics practice, let to students how to deal with situations that may arise by multidisciplinary working teams to face conflictive problems in industrial environments. A final poll was applied to the student to assess the performance of use industrial equipment with design for mechatronics learning principles join with didactic learning techniques in an engineering course. The poll results let to come to a conclusion of this proposal improve the learning of engineering practice.

Recently the science of acoustics has been reconsidered and valued more than just a tool concerning physics, telecommunications, and music. It is now an important topic of research for the acoustic comfort of places where people work and live, and it is also considered as an essential issue for the physical and mental health of human beings. Sound has to be integrated as a design concept in architecture, but architects need tools for the better understanding of the way to reach not only good acoustics but also good architectural design. It has been proven that physical scale models are very useful for the prediction of the acoustical behaviour of rooms, therefore this process is analyzed and studied at the Acoustic design and Analysis Laboratory (LADAc) of the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (UAM-A) in Mexico city, in order to promote further investigations that provide useful data for the design of architectural spaces as well as the design of sound control devices. This paper shows the work of a master's degree thesis, the main objective of which is to present the results of the measurements of reverberation time taken in an existing room compared with those taken in the physical scale model of the same room.

The filamentous fungus Moniliophthora perniciosa (Stahel) Aime & Phillips-Mora is a hemibiotrophic Basidiomycota that causes witches' broom disease of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.). This disease has resulted in a severe decrease in the Brazilian cocoa production, which changed the position of Brazil in the market from the second largest cocoa exporter to a cocoa importer. Fungal mitochondrial plasmids are usually invertrons encoding DNA and RNA polymerases. Plasmid insertion into host mitochondrial genomes are probably associated to modifications in host generation time, which can be involved in fungal aging. This association suggests activity of polymerases, and these can be used as new targets for drugs against mitochondrial activity of fungi, more specifically against witches' broom disease. DNA and RNA polymerases of M. perniciosa mitochondrial plasmid were completely sequenced and their models were built by Comparative Modeling approach using Swiss-PdbViewer. The DNA and RNA polymerases models were refined by a set of Molecular Mechanics (MM) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation in water. The resultant models were evaluated by Procheck 3.0 and ANOLEA. Ramachandran plots showed 97% and 98% of residues in favorable region for DNA and RNA polymerases, respectively. Potential Energy plots showed, in general, that all atoms of sidechain had favorable thermodynamic values for both proteins. This study can contribute for the development of new alternatives for controlling the fungal agent of witches' broom disease.
