The development of detection kidney function system at the first prototype have problem with the dependence on the internet, which make not practical in the development of the system and the initial design was not ergonomic. In this work the development of the second step is done with the improvement of accuracy compared with other methods. In this work the new design of the embedded system is also applied and in term of algorithm, the system applied for woman patient. Three different types of machine learning techniques, namely K-nearest neighbors (KNN), Decision Tree and Random Forest are applied and compared. The AI-based kidney failure severity identification system with KNN algorithm had an average accuracy of 90% and 91% for training and testing accuracy, respectively. The design of the embedded system also renews with stylist, simple and practical.

With the advancement of technology, people constantly use IT through the Internet. In this modern living environment, many individuals exploit this technological landscape for illegal gains and criminal activities. Judicial investigation units gather relevant evidence from the crime scene and process it when a crime occurs. When the medium used in criminal activity involves information technology, it is referred to as digital evidence. Unlike traditional evidence, which leaves traces if moved or altered, digital evidence can be copied without any detectable changes, posing challenges to maintaining its integrity and accuracy. This article explores how digital identification can ensure that the content of a report matches the evidence seized at the scene. It also addresses how the validity of digital evidence, as presented by the investigating authority, can be upheld in court. Additionally, it discusses the use of digital evidence and electronic handwritten signatures to enhance evidence preservation measures. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper aims to present and discuss hierarchical knowledge in participatory situations with two handicraft communities in the Brazilian northeast. Supported by the notion of correspondence [15,17,19], we critically debate power, representation, and the construction of artifacts to enable participatory design processes. We discuss disruption of the paradigms from which our tools and games are made, from a representational practice towards an ontological one, as Ingold also proposes [16]. In this way, we create our design tools and games committed to learning by experience with those skilled practitioners in a participatory approach. Collaborating with craftswomen who work with bobbin lace and looming with buriti palm, we designed things together by means of anthropology to understand their productive chains, theirs limits and to think about future possibilities. © 2020 ACM.

In this paper, we compare two measurement techniques to analyze the dynamic response of a MEMS resonator, made of a microcantilever beam, that is electrostatically actuated via a side electrode. The first method is based on a combination of Michelson interferometry, knife-edge analysis, and stroboscopic imaging, and is used to dissect the in-plane and out-of-plane motions of the resonator. The second approach follows the motion-induced current method and is based on a transduction mechanism that converts the movement of the resonator to a current signal. The third harmonic of said current is directly related to the in-plane motion of the resonator. Motion-induced current measurements enable the detection of the nonlinear dynamics associated with the motion of the resonator when actuated with high excitation voltages. The optical and electrical measurements show similar nonlinear features in terms of the location of the cyclic-fold bifurcation in the parameter space and the hysteretic region associated with it. These dynamic features can be exploited for sensing purposes.

The objective of this paper is to develop a robot system that can transmit the video taken by the drone to the computer in real time, use YOLO to recognize the image of pedestrians, and enable the ground robot to plan the path to avoid pedestrians. External sensors, such as laser range finders (LRF) and CCD cameras, are often used on mobile robots. As we all know, these sensors are susceptible to occlusion. Therefore, even if the mobile robot avoids the pedestrian in front of it, it is likely to collide with other pedestrians that cannot be detected due to occlusion. In this study, we used a drone to shoot videos at high altitudes, transferred the videos to a computer, used YOLO on the computer to perform image recognition of pedestrians around the robot, and passed the recognition results to ROS, which enabled it to plan a path to avoid pedestrians around it. As a result, showed that the videos shot at high altitudes could effectively identify pedestrians around the robot after being recognized by YOLO.

To profiling flavonoids in wild soybean (WB;Glycine soja Sieb & Zucc.) and cultivated soybean (CB;Glycine max (L.) Merr.), liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS), antioxidant assays, and chemometrics method were used. Total 70 flavonoids were tentatively identified with ion filter strategies containing precursor ion list, mass defect filter, nitrogen rule filter, and diagnostic ion filter from 20,999 features in WB and CB. Semi-quantification result revealed that WB has 1.4-, 93.1-, 6.3-, and 1.9-fold higher contents in isoflavone, flavan, procyanidin, and flavone than that of CB. In antioxidant assays, WB showed 1.89- to 5.83-fold higher antioxidant capacities than CB in four antioxidant capacity assays. In orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis, WB and CB were clearly classified, and 31 characteristic flavonoids were identified by variable importance in projection. Furthermore, epicatechin and procyanidins of WB showed significantly positive correlation with antioxidant capacities by Pearson's correlation. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The 2011 flood in Thailand exposed significant vulnerabilities in industrial areas, highlighting the necessity for enhanced disaster risk management through Area-Business Continuity Management (Area-BCM). This preliminary study focuses on identifying how stakeholders rely on information from each other to improve disaster preparedness and response. The research involves systematically identifying Area-BCM stakeholders and designing interview questions, which are evaluated by experts using the Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) to ensure relevance and clarity. All interview questions surpassed the IOC threshold of 0.5, confirming their effectiveness in capturing information interdependencies. Expert feedback led to refinements in the questions, underscoring the importance of tailored data collection. This initial plan provides a critical foundation for understanding information interdependence and highlights the importance of well-designed data collection methods. The findings have significant implications for developing more resilient disaster management strategies in industrial areas, emphasizing the need for precise and relevant stakeholder communication to enhance Area-BCM effectiveness.

In response to globalization and increased competition, individual professionals in a single field often cannot provide comprehensive solutions. Collaboration among professionals from different disciplines is required to find more effective solutions. This study aims to develop a system called AIGC (AI Generated Content) to facilitate idea convergence in interdisciplinary teams. The system aims to address the collaboration challenges between engineering and design fields and facilitate consensus through the introduction of images and visual elements. To achieve this goal, qualitative research methods were employed, including contextual interviews, the KJ method, brainstorming, personas, and user journey mapping, among others. These methods were chosen because they provide in-depth understanding of communication and collaboration patterns among participants and offer valuable insights. The selection of participants was based on their experience and expertise in interdisciplinary projects. Students from design and engineering fields were chosen as research participants to ensure diversity and representativeness. During the execution of the study, the research team collected data through contextual interviews and related qualitative research methods. The steps involved in contextual interviews included selecting appropriate scenarios, designing relevant guided questions, and conducting face-to-face interviews. Through these methods, we gained deep insights into participants' communication patterns, thought processes, and collaboration needs. The results of this study demonstrate that the AIGC system, which facilitates interdisciplinary idea convergence, effectively promotes consensus among participants. This is achieved through interactive processes such as selecting images, describing images, and engaging in interactive design. Primary dysmenorrhea (PD), characterised by chronic pelvic pain during menstruation, significantly impairs the quality of life for many women. This paper presents a modelling and clinical validation study of the novel Nettle™ device for at-home transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for alleviating PD symptoms. Specifically, we aimed to investigate the electric field patterns induced by Nettle™ and its immediate efficacy in reducing menstrual pain and improving functionality. Finite element method (FEM) simulations, using realistic head models, assessed the electric field distribution, targeting key brain regions involved in pain processing. A single-centre triple-blinded, sham-controlled study involving 34 women was conducted to compare the effects of active and sham tDCS. Results demonstrated a clinically meaningful decline in menstrual pain symptoms in the active group, with medium effect sizes for both pain reduction (Cohen’s d=0.53) and functionality (Cohen’s d=0.47), based on Nettle™’s protocol focused on the electric field within the medial prefrontal cortex. Limitations include the use of generalised brain models and small sample size, highlighting the need for further research with comprehensive modelling and larger clinical trials to validate and understand the effects of Nettle™ as a menstrual neuromodulation therapy. Clinical Relevance— This study underscores Nettle™’s potential as a non-invasive, cost-efficient intervention for PD, with implications for broader applications in women’s health.

This paper proposes a new estimation method for the lower limb muscle strength of the elderly that can be easily performed in nursing care facilities. Furthermore, based on the estimated lower limb muscle strength information, this paper proposes a human model that simulates the physical conditions of the elderly and, using this model, proposes a new design method for standing assistance strategy adapted to the physical conditions of the elderly. The main advantage of the proposed method is that it can estimate and model leg muscle strength, which depends on the individual elderly person, in a simple way that can be carried out by staff in nursing care facilities who are not engineering specialists, without the use of specialized measuring equipment such as electromyography. © 2022 IEEE.
