Technological solutions are crucial in aiding the rehabilitation process for fractures caused by falls, heavy lifting, or rotational trauma. However, cost and comfort-related issues persist, underscoring the need for alternative approaches. This research addresses these challenges and delves into the broader implications of fracture treatment, catalyzing future projects and investigations in bioengineering. Additionally, this study serves as an educational tool that sparks the interest of high school and engineering students, promoting multidisciplinary collaboration in innovation. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that can attack the lungs and other organs. In the diagnosis of TB, the interpretation of X-ray radiological images requires special skills from medical specialists. However, the lack of experience of medical personnel and focus on X-ray examinations can be a challenge for radiologists because it has the potential to cause diagnostic errors in image interpretation. Therefore, we proposed a web-based application of real-time chest X-ray interpreter by integrating the deep learning model of Vision Transformer (ViT) to interpret chest X-ray images. The inference model was trained and tested on 652 normal and 652 tuberculosis X-ray images. The data preprocessing of Contrast Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) was implemented to increase chest X-ray image contrast as well as inference model performance. The proposed real time system can inteprete the tested chest x-ray images with an accuracy of 95% and with simulation duration time of 4.7 seconds.

Expectations are rising for four-wheel independently steered vehicles due to their high degree of freedom. However, inputting an appropriate steering angle to each wheel is necessary. Therefore, we propose a path-tracking control method for four-wheel independently steered vehicles using the pure pursuit method. The pure pursuit method is used as a path-tracking algorithm for self-driving cars because of its ease of implementation, but the method must be applied to turning movements by various independent steering patterns of four-wheel independently steered vehicles. Therefore, we develop a new pure pursuit method that enables the steering angle ratio of the front and rear wheels to be changed and allows the center of the vehicle to follow the path. The simulation results showed that the proposed method enabled a four-wheel independently steered vehicle to follow the road under any steering angle ratio of the front and rear wheels. By adjusting the look-ahead distance, we confirmed that the vehicle did not deviate from the road width. In addition, we confirmed that when the curvature of the road changed significantly, a contradictory relationship existed between the vehicles path-tracking performance and the magnitude of the vehicle's lateral acceleration.

In particular, when using recent reconstruction models that have been developed for processing multi-channel MR data. A fundamental question is whether to first combine channels to improve model generalizability (i.e., a “coil-combined” approach) or to keep channel processing separate to fully utilize multi-channel information (i.e., an “all-coil” approach). In this work, we compare three popular architectures using coil-combined and all-coil styles on brain MR images. All-coil styles improved in-distribution performance, such as when reconstructing only presumed healthy individu-als. Polymer-based circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)materials with the advantage of diversified structure,easy fabrication,high thermal stability,and tunable properties have garnered considerable ***,adequate and precise tuning over CPL in polymer-based materials remains challenging due to the difficulty in regulating chiral ***,visualized full-color CPL is achieved by doping red,green,and blue quantum dots(QDs)into reconfigurable blue phase liquid crystal elastomers(BPLCEs).In contrast to the CPL signal observed in cholesteric liquid crystal elastomers(CLCEs),the chiral 3D cubic superstructure of BPLCEs induces an opposite CPL ***,this effect is entirely independent of photonic bandgaps(PBGs)and results in a high glum value,even without matching between PBGs and the emission bands of ***,the lattice structure of the BPLCEs can be reversibly switched via mechanical stretching force,inducing on-off switching of the CPL signals,and these variations can be further fixed using dynamic disulfide bonds in the ***,the smart polymer-based CPL systems using the BPLCEs for anti-counterfeiting and information encryption have been demonstrated,suggesting the great potential of the BPLCEs-based CPL active materials.
