We investigate competition and cooperation of magnetic frustration and the Kondo effect in the J1−J2 Kondo lattice model on the square lattice at zero temperature. In this model, the frustrated interactions J1,J2 between the localized spins stabilize spin nematic orders, while the Kondo coupling favors local spin singlets. Using the slave boson mean field approximation, we find that the spin nematic order remains stable against small Kondo coupling, and the localized spins and the conduction electrons are effectively decoupled. On the other hand, a standard Fermi liquid state is formed for sufficiently strong Kondo interactions. Furthermore, in an intermediate region with moderate Kondo coupling, the spin nematic order and the Kondo effect coexist, and superconducting pairing of the conduction electrons is induced by the spinon pairing. We discuss the ground state phase diagram and nature of the quantum phase transitions between the different superconducting states.

The evolution of manufacturing has led to Industry 5.0, where human creativity is integrated with advanced technology to achieve efficient and sustainable production. Given the high volume and diversity of assembly tasks, operator assistance systems have become essential tools in the industry, leveraging augmented reality (AR) and other new technologies. This literature review specifically examines 19 papers on AR applications within the context of industrial assembly tasks. The review focuses on identifying the types of AR technologies utilized, the methodologies for implementing AR systems in assembly, and the primary limitations and challenges encountered. The findings indicate a growing field with promising applications in assembly, training, and maintenance, predominantly using AR glasses. Furthermore, a gap is identified indicating the absence of a standardized framework for AR-based assembly assistance systems. Future research should aim at creating a foundational framework for AR system implementation, thereby accelerating the adoption of innovative technologies in the industry.

Supplier evaluation has a crucial role in maintaining efficiency in the food industry supply chain. Machine learning approaches can be employed to formulate models aimed at analyzing and evaluating supplier performance. Previous research has successfully designed decision tree and neural network models for assessing suppliers in the food industry with accuracies of 84.2% and 92.8% separately. Recognizing the opportunity to improve the model's performance, this study aims to advancing the machine learning models accuracy for analyzing and evaluating suppliers in the food industry. Two main models are proposed to enhance model accuracy: ensemble methods and support vector machine. This research has successfully designed a supplier evaluation model and demonstrated that the ensemble method - gradient boosting model outperforms other ensemble methods and support vector machine which is achieved a accuracy of 93.6% on a cross-validation dataset. The development of a dashboard is required to implement the supplier evaluation model using machine learning, facilitating decision-makers in evaluating and controlling supplier performance.
