The use of simulation environments is becoming more significant in the development of autonomous cars, as it allows for the simulation of high-risk situations while also being less expensive. In this paper, we presented a framework that allows the creation of an autonomous vehicle in the AirSim simulation environment and then transporting the simulated movements to the TurtleBot. To maintain the car in the correct direction, computer vision techniques such as object detection and lane detection were assumed. The vehicle's speed and steering are both determined by Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers. A virtual personal assistant was developed employing natural language processing to allow the user to interact with the environment, providing movement instructions related to the vehicle's direction. Additionally, the conversion of the simulator movements for a robot was implemented to test the proposed system in a practical experiment. A comparison between the real position of the robot and the position of the vehicle in the simulated environment was considered in this study to evaluate the performance of the algorithms.

In this work it is presented a novel Zero-Current Switching Clamped Current (ZCS-CC) Converter that allows soft-switching for a full-bridge DC/DC Current Source Converter (CSC). The soft-switching is achieved using the inherent stray inductance of the switches and diodes, which forms a resonant tank with the output capacitive filter. This period of resonance occurs in the dead time between the two complementary switches of the full-bridge and is enough for both to be comutated with zero current. It is presented the theoretical foundation that justify its operation as well as the simulation and experimental results.

In Industry 4.0, trends on Servitisation are intertwined with increased use of “smart technologies”, bringing light to Smart Product-Service systems. Currently, Smart-PSSs need to cope with dynamic customer’s needs, which generates system requirements in a higher frequency, resulting in reconfiguration of such system. This research aims to study current issues regarding the reconfiguration of Smart-PSSs, focusing on flexibilization. An exploration of issues is done by a qualitative literature review, with results structured in a schema. This schema approaches issues which are not yet solved or addressed in literature, showing that systemic solutions are necessary to solve explored issues. A discussion of current limitations and trends in research is presented, bridging studied material and pointing out current Industry 4.0 technologies that might cope with the issues if approached systemically. The paper points to further research regarding a expansions on the literature review and next steps on solving current issues.

This can be achieved by utilizing Raspberry Pi technology, known for its cost-effectiveness and versatility in integrations, along with a face recognition camera and machine learning methods. This proof of concept demonstrates the integration of these components to create a dynamic digital signage system. Overall, this project has the potential to offer an affordable solution for companies aiming to efficiently manage and optimize their digital marketing strategies, especially in the Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) Advertising space.
