This research explores multiple varieties of effective and child-friendly learning approaches for mathematics and memorization among young children in today's increasingly digital age considering their specific developmental needs. This type of approach includes in-person teaching, engaging online videos, interactive textbooks, and innovative educational games. This research employs a detailed comparative analysis, considering both 'User Experience' and measurable learning outcome factors, and spans a range of age groups from preschoolers to elementary school children. Through highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each method, this research aims to inspire the adoption of efficient, child-centric, and novel teaching techniques by educators and institutions, thereby advancing the quality of education in Indonesia. The results show that using serious game in education presents high usefulness score alongside positive user experience, suggesting its viability for educational purposes. © 2024 IEEE.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) classification is a widely utilized instrument for personality assessment. However, it frequently encounters challenges due to imbalanced data distributions across personality dimensions. It is paramount to address this issue to enhance the accuracy and reliability of personality predictions. Most current research in this field is focused on data balancing techniques, such as oversampling and undersampling, which have been demonstrated to enhance model performance. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of research exploring text augmentation methods, particularly synonym replacement, for this purpose. This study examines the efficacy of synonym replacement as a data augmentation technique for MBTI classification. Experiments are conducted with varying levels of synonym replacement (10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, and 90%) to assess its impact on model accuracy and F1 scores across the four MBTI dimensions. Our findings indicate that low levels of synonym replacement, particularly at 10% to 50%, can enhance the performance of the model in predicting MBTI dimensions. On the other hand, a higher number of replaced words in the synonym replacement augmentation can harm the model's performance. These observations suggest that synonym replacement can effectively address data imbalance in MBTI classification, although its application must be tailored to specific personality dimensions. © 2024 IEEE.

The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), notably in Natural Language Processing (NLP), has been remarkable. Among its applications, Question-Answering (QA) systems stand out, assisting users in accessing pertinent information across various topics, including religious contexts. Religion plays a significant role in providing guidance on moral values to modern society, such as tolerance, compassion and social norms. Religious practices taught by religion serve as significant foundations for addressing the increasingly advancing influence of technology. The primary goal of this paper is to create a question-answering system proficient in analyzing user inquiries and precisely extracting data from translated Indonesian Hadith datasets. This research endeavors to enhance question-answering accuracy through Deep Learning techniques. Employing pre-processing methods, the system interprets user query intents. Furthermore, the Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer (T5), a text-based language Transformer model, is utilized to streamline the retrieval process for Hadith-related queries based on relevant subjects. The research findings demonstrate the precision of answers through BLEU and ROUGE scores. The novelty of this study lies in the creation of a dataset of hadith translations in Indonesian and the fine-tuning of the T5 model that has been trained using a dataset of questions and answers based on these translations. This research demonstrates the following evaluation scores: BLEU: 0.606, ROUGE-1: 0.702, ROUGE-2: 0.548, and ROUGE-L: 0.701, indicating that the answers generated by this particular research model are better compared to those produced using the standard mT5 model. © 2024 IEEE.

Fuzzy Based Decision Support Model for Health Insurance Claim

Insurance industry in Indonesia has shown promising result based on premium growth in 2014-2018, as recorded in Indonesia General Insurance Market Update 2019. With the increase of premium, the claim rate also grows. Insurance companies face challenges in processing the claims. Many factors need to be carefully considered before making a claim decision. This paper proposes a decision support model (DSM) to score claim cases and to propose claim risk category (CRC) and claim decision (CD). The model was built with 13 parameters, divided into non-fuzzy group and fuzzy group. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method was used to determine the priority weight (PW) among parameters. The Tsukamoto’s fuzzy logic (FL) method was applied to process the fuzzy parameters. A simple mathematics method (SMM) was exercised to calculate the non-fuzzy parameters, and to aggregate the result into claim risk score (CRS). Finally, CRC and CD were derived from the CRS using a rule base. The model was tested using 19611 actual claim history records. The result was: 6171 (31.47%) accepted with CRC= low, 3459 (17.64%) pending (CRC medium), and 9981 (50.89%) pending (CRC high). The DSM model was implemented in python with Google COLAB and Datapane to create various graphics. © 2022 Slovene Society Informatika. All rights reserved.

IT/OT convergence in the form of a Cyber-Physical System (CPS) presents an opportunity to apply recent Information Technology (IT) advancements to Operational Technology (OT). The IT/OT convergence introduces cyber security threats for OT. The OT communication protocols, for example, have limited or no security capabilities for securing data exchange beyond basic authentication. The RNG (Random Number Generator) function is crucial in PLC for producing the encryption keys or the initial seed for security algorithms. The software-based PRNG (Pseudo RNG) is the most common approach for RNG in OT, instead of hardware-based RNG. This study provides a systematic literature review of the most recent evidence in digital transformation to secure data exchange in smart factories, within OT, or across OT and IT settings. It does this by looking at the PRNG on PLC and identifying the most recent trends and best practices. The findings include up-to-date data on author countries' distribution, published journals, research trends, industries, and industry types. The findings also address whether data flow is encrypted or shared in plaintext to ensure secure data transfer between IT and legacy OT environments. This paper concludes that while there is known RNG implementation in the actual embedded system in ICS, there is no evidence in the literature for using RNG in ICS networks for PLC implementation to secure data transfer with encryption. © 2024 IEEE.

Indoor positioning systems (IPS) are critical for enabling accurate navigation, asset tracking, and emergency response in indoor environments where GPS fails. This study evaluates five machine learning algorithms-K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Decision Tree, and Random Forest-using two benchmark datasets, UJIIndoorLoc and UTSIndoorLoc. The results reveal that SVM achieves the highest accuracy, with 81.3 % on UJIIndoorLoc and 92 % on UTSIndoorLoc, followed by MLP with \mathbf{7 8. 8 \%} and 90.9 %, respectively. Random Forest provides stable performance, with 77.6 % and 86.08 %, while KNN reaches 75 % and 89.7 %, performing well in structured environments. Decision Tree shows the lowest accuracy, 71.2 % and 76.54 %, highlighting its limitations with complex data. The UTSIndoorLoc dataset consistently yields higher accuracies, demonstrating its structured signal distribution. These findings underscore SVM and MLP as optimal algorithms for Wi-Fi fingerprinting IPS, offering robust and scalable solutions for indoor localization. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper investigates recent advancements and methodologies in Automatic Text Summarization, a field that has garnered significant attention for its ability to condense lengthy documents into concise summaries while preserving key information and themes. The study examines the development of Automatic Text Summarization models, including both extractive and abstractive approaches. Additionally, the research delves into the use of graph convolutional networks for text representation in e-commerce product review summarization. The study employs an e-commerce dataset in conjunction with a graph convolutional network model, covering stages from preprocessing and tokenization to constructing graph-based data representation. The expected outcome is a graph-structured representation of input text data derived from Indonesian-language e-commerce product reviews. © 2024 IEEE.

Edit distance as a string measurement metric is often used to help detect misspellings in languages. This paper aims to compare two string spelling error correction algorithms for the Indonesian language. The N-gram, Jaro-Winkler distance, and Levenshtein distance algorithms are used to determine whether they can accurately correct typological errors in the Indonesian language. Moreover, this study utilized KNIME tools to process the data from beginning to end. The data was retrieved from news in Indonesia. After the experiment on N from 1 to 12, the results obtained for the comparative analysis proved that Jaro-Winkler distance performed better than Levenshtein distance for comparing smaller strings like words and names. However, Levenshtein distance performs as well as Jaro-Winkler distance started from four strings. Finally, both Jaro-Winkler distance and Levenshtein distance algorithm got the best performance accuracy for eight strings with an accuracy of 99.52 percent. The result of this study is also presented that both algorithms can support word error correction for the Indonesian language. © 2023 IEEE.

The use of balanced medical datasets is essential to improve the precision and accuracy of machine learning models in the healthcare field. However, dataset imbalance often becomes an obstacle, especially in the diagnosis of skin diseases. This research aims to develop a Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) method that is more effective in generating synthetic skin datasets to overcome problems in integrating medical datasets. The methods used include developing and training a GAN model to produce realistic synthetic skin images, with a focus on improving the quality and diversity of the synthetic data produced. Important results from this research show that the developed GAN model is able to produce synthetic skin images that are not only realistic but also able to balance the original dataset. The implications of these findings include improving the accuracy and performance of machine learning models in the diagnosis of skin diseases, as well as the potential use of these methods in other medical fields that face similar problems with imbalanced datasets. © 2024 IEEE.
