The clinical data stored in the health information system can be categorized as two types including structuralized data and non-structuralized ones. In the paper, a data extraction system is developed to assist data retrieval from the non-structuralized textual clinical documents such as radiology reports, pathology reports, etc. The system provides keyword-based and semantic-driven data matching methodology to extract the specific information from the textual clinical documents. The matching methodology provides the capabilities to recognize the selected keywords and the related semantics in the documents. Through the extraction verification interface, clinicians can extract and verify the matched information semi-automatically. The extracted data can be filled into predefined case-oriented templates. The structuralized data can be stored back into the clinical data warehouse for further analyzing. Moreover, the case-oriented templates can support collecting corresponding extracted data for various researches. ©2010 IEEE.

The nonlinear effects of partial erasure and transition shift, however, often limit the performance attained by the partial response maximum likelihood (PRML) detector because of model mismatch. Conventionally, the nonlinear effects are either ignored or approximated by linearization technique. In the article, a PRML detector for the PR4 model including the nonlinear effects has been developed to improve the detector performance. The new representation is more accurate and the corresponding PRML detector has better performance without increasing the realization complexity. Computer simulation results show that the new representation outperforms the conventional ones due to the enhanced modeling capability. The method is also expected to be applied in the high order partial response channel. © 2010 IEEE.

This work proposes a single-layer finite-horizon optimal control strategy to solve the autonomous navigation problem while accounting for energy efficiency and providing obstacle avoidance feature in cluttered environments with unknown obstacles. Considering the rate capacity effect of electric batteries, the nonlinear state-of-charge behavior is described and included in the optimal control problem to achieve energy-awareness. Besides, artificial potential fields are considered to obtain obstacle avoidance capabilities. The control problem is formulated inspired by the tracking model predictive control framework, and it considers the central idea of including artificial variables into the control problem to obtain a closed-loop system with an enlarged domain of attraction and with feasibility insurance. Finally, numerical results in a case study considering a quadrotor UAV are provided to corroborate the proposed strategy. © 2021 IEEE.

As magnetic recording densities grow, the nonlinear distortions, known as transition shift and partial erasure, arise and limit the performance of the detector. Despite that the transition shift can be compensated by a write current technique, the effect of partial erasure complicates the evaluation of the correlation functions for the storage data and the nonreturn-to-zero- inverted modulated data. In this article, we observe the dependence between the partial erasure effect and storage data, and derive the correlation functions for storage data and nonreturn-to-zero-inverted modulated data in a high density magnetic recording channel. The closed-form of the correlation functions are obtained, these results are applied to verify the timing function of the Muller & Mueller's phase detector in a partial response class IV channel via computer simulations. © 2010 IEEE.

The Hospital is the most complex and representative establishment of the society and nowadays, among the most costly ones. ICTs may rationalize personnel-efforts and reduce energy and material-wasting, to enable health-care coverage, of unprivileged social-groups. The aim of the paper is to present the most effective and efficient means and tools, reducing unnecessary cost, as Mobile IP-network, Service-oriented architecture, provided to other components, through a communication protocol, over a network, Ubiquitous-computing, Femtocells, small, low-power cellular base-stations, typically designed for use in a hospital-department, ward-room or unit, Wireless mesh-networks, made-up of radio-nodes, organized in a mesh-topology, supporting intra-hospital data-exchange, training Multimedia-sharing over wireless networks, for real-time or compressed data-streaming over IP/wireless-networks for communication or archiving. Green-computing in wireless-networks, are limiting people and material intrahospital 'circulation' and, thus, they are enabling the necessary environmentally friendly and smooth procedures. Standardization, policies and regulations for green communications and computing, in 'green' Hospitals are indispensable and ICTs enable procedures optimization, solving energy- and material-waste problems, reducing the overall operational-cost, in the emerging 'smart, green and networked' Hospital, in favor of the people in need. © 2017 ITU.

Decomposition and Reorganization of Phonetic information for Speaker Embedding Learning

Speech content is closely related to the stability of speaker embeddings in speaker verification tasks. In this paper, we propose a novel architecture based on self-constraint learning (SCL) and reconstruction task (RT) to remove the influence of phonetic information on speaker embedding generation. First, SCL is used to reduce the divergence of frame-level features, which can avoid ambiguity between the resulting embeddings of the two utterances being compared. Second, RT is used to further remove phonetic information in frame-level layers, focusing on speaker-discriminative feature transformation. In our experiments, the speaker embedding models were trained on the VoxCeleb2 dataset and evaluated on the VoxCeleb1, Librispeech, SITW and VoxMovies datasets. Experimental results on VoxCeleb1 show that the proposed DROP-TDNN system reduced the EER by 7.5%, compared to the state-of-the-art ECAPA-TDNN system. Furthermore, the proposed DROP-TDNN system also outperformed the ECAPA-TDNN system in the experiments on SITW, Librispeech and VoxMovies under cross-dataset conditions. In the experiments on SITW, the proposed system reduced the EER by 3.4% compared to the ECAPA-TDNN system. In the experiments on Librispeech, the proposed system demonstrated the advantage of removing phonetic information under the clean speech condition, with a significant reduction of 25.5% in EER compared to the ECAPA-TDNN system. In the experiments on VoxMovies, the proposed system reduced the EER by up to 7.9% compared to the ECAPA-TDNN system under different pronunciation and background conditions. © 2014 IEEE.

Many individuals now trade online utilizing trading software in the digital world. Binomo is one of Indonesia's most popular trading platforms. This is because some influencers made several promises to Binomo customers. Since many customers were deceived, this case became quite popular. This study was executed to see how Indonesians felt about the Binomo application after the case went viral. The solution taken was in the form of sentiment analysis because there had been no previous research on sentiment analysis that discussed the Binomo case. The data was scanned using Netlytic tools, a cloud-based text and social network analyzer capable of identifying any talks on social media sites such as Twitter. The sentiment analysis of Binomo trading tweets by using the Multi-Perspective Question Answering lexicon utilized the KNIME tool. But unfortunately, the accuracy of sentiment analysis results is low. Furthermore, the Support Vector Machine technique is also being conducted. The Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency method is applied to perform feature extraction whilst the chi-square approach is utilized to identify features that are thought to be useful for inclusion in the classification process and to exclude features that are irrelevant to the target class. The obtained accuracy is 86%. The study proposes that words from the algorithm's outputs can be utilized to improve the quality of sentiment analysis using the lexicon. As an outcome of the algorithm, positive and negative terms are added to the lexicon, increasing the accuracy of sentiment analysis using the new vocabulary from 58.984% to 71.146%. © 2023 IEEE.

This research aims to build a mathematical model to formulate the problems of implementing knowledge management systems in companies that often face obstacles in achieving the desired objectives and goals. With increasing competition in the business sector, organizations or organizations realize the importance of utilizing the knowledge assets that reside in each individual and organization. If this knowledge can be managed optimally, it can become a competitive advantage for the company due to the emergence of innovative ideas by the concepts of knowledge management theory. By implementing optimal knowledge management (KM), companies can design innovative solutions to improve business operations and increase overall revenue. The factor analysis method will be used to find the determining factors for the success of the implementation of knowledge management systems (KMS) and the regression analysis method will also be used to form a mathematical model of several new factors which are formed as independent variables with the current level of community understanding of KMS as the dependent variable. The research results provide insight into strategies to improve success factors to successfully facilitate KMS implementation. Real-time social interactions and multi-streaming are two critical features of live streaming services. In this paper, we formulate a new fundamental service query, Social-aware Diverse and Preferred Organization Query (SDSQ), that jointly selects a set of diverse and preferred live streaming channels and a group of socially tight viewers for organization of a live multi-streaming soiree. We prove that SDSQ is NP-hard and inapproximable within any factor, and design SDSSel, a 2-approximation algorithm with a guaranteed error bound. Moreover, we study SDSQ-T, a special case of SDSQ, where the social graph is a threshold graph, and propose TDSSel, a 2-approximation algorithm without any error to SDSQ-T. We propose two pruning strategies, PCP and CDP to boost SDSSel and TDSSel. We further propose a more challenging but practical service query, Generalized Social-aware Maximum Preferred and Diverse Query (GSPQ), a generalization of SDSQ. We design GPDSel, a 4-approximation algorithm for GSPQ with a guaranteed error bound. We propose a strategy to improve the approximation ratios of the proposed algorithms. A user study on Twitch validates SDSQ, and the large-scale experiments on real datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithms over several baselines for live-streaming services. © 2008-2012 IEEE.
