Welding is both as art and science and its common use is the jointing of points. Some of the welding procedures used for jointing metal pipes are Tungsten Inert Gas and Gas Metal Arc welding and in common practice plastic pipes are bonded with the use of butt-fusion welding procedure. Since 1970’s conjoint analysis was used as a way of finding out what the preference of consumers. The objective of this study is to determine the combination welding attributes that were most preferred using a conjoint analysis approach. With conjoint analysis, together with, the orthogonal design the preference for welding materials and procedures were analyzed. It showed that pipe material with 29.24% was the most preferred attribute and Nondestructive test as the least preferred with 2.66%. The result of this study may be utilized in future related reviews and could be applicable in other related Mechanical systems requiring welding works. © 2024 IEEE.

In light of the significance of the oil and gas industry in Indonesia's economic landscape, this study explores the competitive advantage of XYZ company, a private contractor in this sector, with a focus on the influence of innovation capabilities and transformational leadership. The oil and gas industry's transition from foreign management to state-owned enterprises (BUMN) has presented challenges for private contractors, necessitating a deeper understanding of factors contributing to competitive advantage. The research findings reveal that both innovation capabilities and transformational leadership independently exert a positive and significant impact on competitive advantage. Elevating innovation capabilities enhances $XYZ$ company's competitiveness by fostering product and process innovation, while bolstering transformational leadership contributes to improved employee performance and motivation. Crucially, when innovation capabilities and transformational leadership are considered together, they jointly exert a positive and significant impact on competitive advantage. This underscores the importance of XYZ company's prioritizing the development of both aspects to maintain and enhance its competitive position in the industry. Recommendations for the company include persistently enhancing innovation efforts, improving leadership clarity through comprehensive job descriptions, and strengthening product or service offerings. Future research should consider additional independent variables and extend the study to different industries for a comprehensive understanding of competitive advantage determinants.

The line between the real world and the internet is blurred by augmented reality (AR). The internet of things (IoT) is transforming the way we communicate with the rest of the world. AR is a promising technology that is emerging as a key to unlocking the full potential of the IoT. The potential and challenges of combining the internet of things with augmented reality are investigated in this study. After a rigorous searching process, around fifty-one (51) publications were chosen and thoroughly examined to summarize the most recent developments in this field. In terms of research findings, four main clusters of potential benefits were identified: visualization sensor data, human-object interaction, application diversity, and IoT use case adoption. In contrast, the challenges posed by IoT and AR combinations were clustered around technical, organizational, and ergonomic considerations. The accumulation of knowledge and actionable insights will benefit both academics and practitioners interested in which a revolution will create by these emerging technology. © 2022 IEEE.

Since the emergence of Pokémon Go in 2016, the world has been introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) games. Many IT companies have begun developing augmented reality (AR) games due to the great commercial potential in this industry. Certain products may have managed to remain viable in the market, while others were forced to close due to one or two factors. Since the emergence of Pokémon Go, no other game has managed to surpass its unprecedented success. The company responsible for developing Pokémon Go has decided to shut down one of their games due to a lack of consumer interest. The technology of augmented reality (AR) is consistently associated with the concept of immersion. Immersion is a key aspect of the game that allows users to deeply engage and feel fully involved in the experience. This study will employ a quantitative methodology, utilising a questionnaire that will be distributed to and completed by those who have engaged in augmented reality (AR) games. The data will be analysed using Smart PLS to examine the impact of user experience on immersion, which in turn influences intention. After gathering over 200 participants by spreading google form questionnaires and doing data analysis, the findings indicate that only a few aspects of user experience, namely Brand Experience and User Need Experience, have an impact on reasons. Niantic, the developer of Pokémon Go, was unable to replicate their success with a similar augmented reality game called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The initial release occurred on June 21, 2019, and the shutdown took place on December 21, 2021. In the beginning, they shown a profound enthusiasm for the game but were unable to sustain it, much as Pokémon Go. According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, the primary reason for the game's shutdown was its immersion. Smart Home technology offers technological concepts that can be controlled through smart devices to make it easier for the community. Therefore, smart home technology is starting to seize the home electronics market in Indonesia, especially in the city of Jakarta. This study aims to determine the integration of conventional technology into smart home technology for people in Jakarta. The research model in this study uses UTAUT2 which analyzes nine variables, namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Cost, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Influence, Perceived Compatibility, Trust, Perceived Pleasure, and Effort Expectations, Intention to Use Smart Home Technology. After the responses were received, data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM approach with the SmartPLS application. The results of this study show that there are many people who live in Jakarta who are helped by the presence of smart home technology. However, there are some people who don't really know how to use a smart home because of a lack of knowledge about this technology.

This research focuses on the development of mobile learning applications in nursing education in Indonesia. Using the BeeDa application, which is a learning application for nursing students as a complement to blended learning. Blended learning is an integration between classroom learning, online learning and mobile learning. BeeDa facilitates students in accessing learning resources easily, anytime and anywhere. This study describes the design and implementation stages related to the development of BeeDa. Experimental data were collected using a questionnaire to nursing students. The evaluation results show that the BeeDa application is easy to use and useful in supporting learning, so it has the potential to improve learning achievement. © 2021 ACM.

This study aimed to examine the factors influencing the acceptance of eLearning platforms in medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, using the latent variables from the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) and two additional variables derived from relevant literature. A total of 360 medical students participated by completing an online survey comprising 40 questions. The analysis, conducted using stepwise multiple linear regression, revealed that Performance Expectancy (PE), Habit (HB), and Instructor Characteristics (IC) were significant predictors of Actual Use (AU) with an accuracy of 54.22%. Higher levels of PE, HB, and IC were found to positively influence the acceptance and utilization of medical eLearning platforms. The findings from this study can provide valuable insights for the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines, aiding in the enhancement of eLearning platforms for medical education. Although this research primarily focused on UTAUT2 and two additional variables-Learning Value and Instructor Characteristics-the results offer substantial implications for the broader development of eLearning platforms in the medical field. © 2024 IEEE.

In the current day, digital transformation is imperative; both customer demand and market competitiveness are mostly driving that trend. The fourth industrial revolution has also affected the financial sector. One difficulty that has to be addressed is the desire from customers for quick and useful services. Traditional procedures need to be replaced with digital ones. Furthermore, banking organizations will have a competitive edge in the current market if they are successful in this digital transformation process. Successful transformation, however, does not happen by accident; in fact, the likelihood of completing this change is seen to be very low, necessitating rigorous planning for a company that is ready for the future. There are several components to the preparation in question, both internal and external. This study investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) can transform audit processes, including how AI can be used in businesses to execute non-technical audit tasks and what effect this will have on those tasks. A qualitative case study methodology is used in the research design to give detailed insights into how AI is being adopted by businesses. This study aims to analyze the aspects that impact AI implementation from the viewpoints of managers, auditors, and other stakeholders. The findings show that artificial intelligence (AI) has a great deal of promise for non-technical audit procedures in businesses. AI can automate tedious jobs, evaluate large data sets to identify hazards and enhance teamwork and communication. These developments may lead to increased productivity, maybe better audit quality, and more effective processes. But there are still difficulties. Data quality is essential to the success of AI integration, and auditors may exhibit bias in favor of human professionals. Careful thought must also be given to ethical issues about transparency and possible job displacement. All things considered, this study adds significant knowledge to both the academic literature and real-world auditing applications. It improves our comprehension of the function of AI in the industry and provides useful information for people involved in information technology development, audit, and legislation.
