We propose a means of omni-directional contact detection using accelerometers instead of tactile sensors for object shape estimation using touch. Unlike tactile sensors, our contact-based detection method tends to induce a degree of uncertainty with false-positive contact data because the sensors may react not only to actual contact but also to the unstable behavior of the robot. Therefore, it is crucial to consider a robust shape estimation method capable of handling such false-positive contact data. To realize this, we introduce the concept of heteroscedasticity into the contact data and propose a robust shape estimation algorithm based on Gaussian process implicit surfaces (GPIS). We confirmed that our algorithm not only reduces shape estimation errors caused by false-positive contact data but also distinguishes false-positive contact data more clearly than the GPIS through simulations and actual experiments using a quadcopter. Neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase 3 (NTRK3) has pleiotropic functions: it acts not only as an oncogene in breast and gastric cancers but also as a dependence receptor in tumor suppressor genes in colon cancer and neuroblastomas. However, the role of NTRK3 in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is not well documented. This study investigated the association between NTRK3 expression and outcomes in UTUC patients and validated the results in tests on UTUC cell lines. A total of 118 UTUC cancer tissue samples were examined to evaluate the expression of NTRK3. Survival curves were generated using Kaplan–Meier estimates, and Cox regression models were used for investigating survival outcomes. Higher NTRK3 expression was correlated with worse progression-free survival, cancer-specific survival, and overall survival. Moreover, the results of an Ingenuity Pathway Analysis suggested that NTRK3 may interact with the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling pathway to promote cancer. NTRK3 downregulation in BFTC909 cells through shRNA reduced cellular migration, invasion, and activity in the AKT-mTOR pathway. Furthermore, the overexpression of NTRK3 in UM-UC-14 cells promoted AKT-mTOR pathway activity, cellular migration, and cell invasion. From these observations, we concluded that NTRK3 may contribute to aggressive behaviors in UTUC by facilitating cell migration and invasion through its interaction with the AKT-mTOR pathway and the expression of NTRK3 is a potential predictor of clinical outcomes in cases of UTUC. © 2024 The Authors. This research introduces a deep learning framework that combines convolutional neural networks with autoencoders to improve the diagnostic accuracy of knee osteoarthritis. The study utilized a publicly available dataset from the Mendeley Data repository, where knee joint images were preprocessed using Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization to enhance contrast and ensure consistent image sizing. Initially, an autoencoder was employed in an unsupervised manner to learn compressed representations of the data. These representations were then used to train a CNN to classify knee images into 'healthy' and 'osteoarthritic' categories. The model was trained using an 80:20 split for training and testing data, incorporating early stopping and data augmentation techniques to prevent overfitting and enhance generalization. Performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and the area under the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (ROCAUC) were used to evaluate the model, resulting in a high test accuracy of 98.95%. The high precision and recall rates further confirmed the model's robustness in diagnosing KOA. To enhance interpretability, Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (Grad-CAM) was applied to identify critical regions in the images that influenced the model's decisions. Additionally, t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE) was used to visualize the high-dimensional encoded features in a two-dimensional space, providing deeper insights into how the model differentiates between classes. The promising results of this deep learning approach suggest its potential for broader applications in medical imaging diagnostics. By providing healthcare professionals with a tool that enhances diagnostic accuracy and operational efficiency, this framework lays the foundation for developing scalable, AI-driven diagnostic systems for various complex medical conditions. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. With the advancement of technology, people constantly use IT through the Internet. In this modern living environment, many individuals exploit this technological landscape for illegal gains and criminal activities. Judicial investigation units gather relevant evidence from the crime scene and process it when a crime occurs. When the medium used in criminal activity involves information technology, it is referred to as digital evidence. Unlike traditional evidence, which leaves traces if moved or altered, digital evidence can be copied without any detectable changes, posing challenges to maintaining its integrity and accuracy. This article explores how digital identification can ensure that the content of a report matches the evidence seized at the scene. It also addresses how the validity of digital evidence, as presented by the investigating authority, can be upheld in court. Additionally, it discusses the use of digital evidence and electronic handwritten signatures to enhance evidence preservation measures.

Dataset Weighting Features Using Gain Ratio To Improve Method Accuracy Naïve Bayesian Classification

The Naïve Bayes method is proven to have a high speed when applied to large datasets, but the Naïve Bayes method has weaknesses when selecting attributes because Naïve Bayes is a statistical classification method that is only based on the Bayes theorem so that it can only be used to predict the probability of the class membership of a class independently. Independent without being able to do the selection of attributes that have a high correlation and correlation between one attribute with other attributes so that it can affect the value of accuracy. Naïve Bayesian Weight has been able to provide better accuracy than conventional Naïve Bayesian. Where an increase in the highest accuracy value obtained from the Water Quality dataset is equal to 88.57% in the Weight Naïve Bayesian classification model, while the lowest accuracy value is obtained from the Haberman dataset which is 78.95% in the conventional Naïve Bayesian classification model. The increase in accuracy of the Weight Naïve Bayesian classification model in the Water Quality dataset is 2.9%. While the increase in accuracy value in the Haberman dataset is 1.8%. If done the average accuracy of each dataset using the Weight Naïve Bayesian classification model is 2.35%. Based on the testing that has been done on all test data, it can be said that the Weight Naïve Bayesian classification model can provide better accuracy values than those produced by the conventional Naïve Bayesian classification model.

Gurame Soang Latin name Osphronomus Labirynthici gouramy including fish, that as the fish have gills and breathing apparatus in the form of additional gills (Labyrinth). One important factor in fish farming Soang Gurame is holding elections. Superior brood has characteristics identical, to distinguish it needs to experience since it is quite difficult. Some of the assessment factors in selecting a superior brood that could be considered in the cultivation of the fish farmers Gurame Soang as ideal weight, physical disability, movement of fish, the shape of the head, and the body color. All of these factors combined to get an assessment that could help the decision making process fish Gurame Soang superior sires. This study used two methods that have selected the calculation accuracy of the decision-making process. The method used is the Weighted Product and Simple Additive weighting. The results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded the total number of alternative Gurame Soang superior sires data as many as 10 fish, and obtained the results of testing the level of accuracy by using the results of data from a breeder Gurame Soang superior sires, Method of Weighted Product got an accuracy of 80% and methods Simple Additive weighting got an accuracy of 60%. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2019.

Deep reinforcement learning of event-triggered communication and control for multi-agent cooperative transport

In this paper, we explore a multi-agent reinforcement learning approach to address the design problem of communication and control strategies for multi-agent cooperative transport. Typical end-to-end deep neural network policies may be insufficient for covering communication and control;these methods cannot decide the timing of communication and can only work with fixed-rate communications. Therefore, our framework exploits event-triggered architecture, namely, a feedback controller that computes the communication input and a triggering mechanism that determines when the input has to be updated again. Such event-triggered control policies are efficiently optimized using a multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient. We confirmed that our approach could balance the transport performance and communication savings through numerical simulations. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Wallas model problem-solving to identify prospective mathematics teachers ’expectations of students’ creative thinking processes

The mathematical thinking processes of prospective teachers in solving mathematical problems vary, especially the thinking processes they expect from their students. The four stages of the Wallas Model creative thinking process are preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. The purpose of this research is to describe the creative thinking process that prospective teachers expected from their students in solving mathematical problems based on the Wallas model. The research technique employed is a mixed-methods approach. The participants in this study were 34 aspiring math teachers in mathematics education study program at Ibrahimy University. The Miles and Huberman model was used to evaluate the data collected from observation, test results, and interviews was confirmed using triangulation. The results of this study show that:(1) Prospective teachers expect their students to be able to carry out the four steps of the Wallas model of the creative thinking process when solving mathematical problems; (2) the expectations of the subject of the majority of high groups want students to be able to meet all stages of the Wallas model; (3) medium and low group subject expectations tend to desire the three-stage Wallas model reasonably; (4) the percentage of achievement indicator of the thinking process creative expected by prospective teachers to students in problem-solving based on the Wallas model were obtained for Preparation (73.53%), Incubation (91.18%), Illumination (82.35%), and Verification (44.12%). This research results findings should be followed up in a teacher or lecturer meeting to learn students’ creative thinking expectations in mathematics and other disciplines.

Today’s pluralistic and globalized society requires a global perspective in how we think, view ourselves, and relate to others to collaborate successfully with people with different cultural backgrounds. To support the development of a global perspective, universities cultivate international co-operations to enable international mobility for students, faculty, and staff. However, in-person mobility can be inhibited due to various reasons. To support a wider pool of students gaining international experience, modern digital mediated course formats can be used to offer virtual instead of in-person mobility. This contribution evaluates a digital mediated course for mechanical engineering students (Global Engineering, GE) held in co-operation between an US and a Portuguese university, where internationally mixed student groups working on design projects in an Hyflex setting. Asides a literature driven discussion about the need for Global Engineers and a detailed description of the GE course, a longitudinal analysis was performed to assess the impact of the GE course on the students’ development of a global perspective. The longitudinal analysis showed strong statistical support that the digitally mediated GE course improved the participating students’ global perspective, assessed with the Global Perspective Inventory (GPI), tremendously. The observed improvements were in three of the six GPI dimensions comparable to an in-person semester abroad. Limitations of the study and future investigations are discussed.

In the past decade, it stated that the discourse on Sustainable Development and the Financial technology(FinTech) role in the financial and banking industries, has attention on researchers, practitioners, regulators, and policymakers. The real problem arises from the discourse on whether FinTech has an effect on sustainable development in the financial and banking industry in Indonesia. This discourse needed to be understood better and more deeply. For credible research results, it is necessary to use a mixedmethod research approach. This research aims to develop a model that will help uncover the phenomenon of FinTech to sustainable development in the Financial and Banking Industry in Indonesia, using mixed methods research. In this study, Exploratory Sequential Mixed Method used as a type of mixedmethod approach. The main results of this study reveal that FinTech, which is influenced by business drivers, has a significant role in sustainable development in the Financial and Banking Industry in Indonesia. The contribution of this research can provide insight and understanding for researchers and practitioners in the financial and banking industry who want to implement a sustainable development model based on FinTech in more depth.
