The data mining process requires a data set that can be used in determining a number of specific patterns to gain new knowledge. Large data sets (Big data) require special methods to get effective results. Included in this study are using big data related to the earthquake in Lombok. Earthquake research, especially in Lombok, is needed because Lombok is on three active plates in Indonesia, so that the danger of earthquake damage can be minimized. Earthquake data obtained from the Geophysical Station (BMKG) of Mataram has different characteristics and is complex, an appropriate method is needed, namely by detecting a non-parametric method with the Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS). The use of the backward stepwise algorithm with the Conical Quadratic programming (CQP) framework of MARS, referred to as CMARS (Conic Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines), is used for optimizing the results. The conclusions of this study are 1. A mathematical model with a total of 12 basis functions (BF) has contributed to the prediction analysis of the PGA dependent variable. 2. Contributions of the influence of independent variables on the PGA value are the epicenter distance (Repi) of 100% and the Magnitude (Mw) of 31.08608%, while the temperature of the incident location (SUHU) of 5.48525% and depth (Depth) of 3,52988%. 3. Acquired areas that have earthquake hazard levels in the order of the most vulnerable are Malaka, Genggelang, Tegal Maja, Senggigi and Mangsit.

Cellular metabolism is dynamic, but quantifying non-steady metabolic fluxes by stable isotope tracers presents unique computational challenges. Here, we developed an efficient 13 C-tracer dynamic metabolic flux analysis (13C-DMFA) framework for modeling central carbon fluxes that vary over time. We used B-splines to generalize the flux parameterization system and to improve the stability of the optimization algorithm. As proof of concept, we investigated how 3T3-L1 cultured adipocytes acutely metabolize glucose in response to insulin. Insulin rapidly stimulates glucose uptake, but intracellular pathways responded with differing speeds and magnitudes. Fluxes in lower glycolysis increased faster than those in upper glycolysis. Glycolysis fluxes rose disproportionally larger and faster than the tricarboxylic acid cycle, with lactate a primary glucose end product. The uncovered array of flux dynamics suggests that glucose catabolism is additionally regulated beyond uptake to help shunt glucose into appropriate pathways. This work demonstrates the value of using dynamic intracellular fluxes to understand metabolic function and pathway regulation.

To maintain excellence in global hyper-competitive economies in the upcoming decades, manufacturers must improve the design, development, and distribution of subsequent product generations, production technologies, equipment, and processes. High-performance computing (HPC) solves the application of significant challenges using computer modeling, simulation, and analytical technology. By using HPC technology, products design will be faster, making and testing prototypes will save time, the production process can be simplified, the cost of innovation will decrease, and high-value innovation will be quickly developed. This study uses the PRISMA method, based on predetermined keywords and analyzes the algorithms, frameworks and programming languages and the processes that are most commonly used to optimize the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The results of this study can be a reference for future research on the implementation of High-Performance Computing (HPC) Application by combine modeling, simulation, and analysis. © 2018 IEEE.

We as a human can not avoid the disease, and when we are sick, we need to see a practical doctor. However, in term of location and patient's right for changing the practical doctor, then the patient when moving from one practical doctor to others will have similar and repeated questions such as medicine allergy, history of diseases and so on. Moreover, become a problem for a vulnerable patient such as unconscious patient, disabled or elderly when seeing a new practical doctor and at the end of the day, it will become malpractice. Few of the causes of the problem above are the lack of health education, delay in diagnosing/misdiagnosis, and inaccessible healthcare facilities and with the increasing popularity of telemedicine and IoT across the world, then we need to apply IoT in order to help the patient. In this paper, a framework is created and designed for an IoT-integrated mobile application for the patient where this mobile application is expected to be implemented.

It is crucial for the community including the government and health workers to collaborate to halt the spread of Covid-19. The idea of developing the mobile application surfaced from the previous findings. Previous researches have implemented and developed different features to better the application. The development of a mobile application to provide a platform that will assist people with information regarding patients that are around the perimeter of users to help notify them. With the help of the notification, users will be able to avoid the chances of them being in contact with the people (ODP), patients that are under surveillance (PDP) confirmed patients. All patients including ODP and PDP are required to have the application therefore, the Minister of Health will be able to track the geolocation of patients. Moreover, people will be able to be aware of patients that are around their perimeter. Therefore, with the help of the application, it will be able to help assist the community for them to be aware of and to be able to avoid being in contact with the infected patients.

Laser wakefield acceleration (LWFA) may achieve TeV/m gradients using high-density solid-state plasmas as accelerating media. However, the application of bulk solid materials requires attosecond laser pulses, such as X-ray lasers, to drive wakefields at these high densities. Additionally, the short wakefield wavelengths associated with solid-state plasmas greatly limit the accelerating length. An alternative approach employs 2D carbon-based nanomaterials, like graphene or carbon nanotubes (CNTs), configured into structured targets. These nanostructures are designed with voids or low-density regions to effectively reduce the overall plasma density. This reduction enables the use of longer-wavelength lasers and also extends the plasma wavelength and the acceleration length. In this study, we present, to our knowledge, the first numerical demonstration of electron acceleration via self-injection into a wakefield bubble driven by an infrared laser pulse in structured CNT targets, similar to the behavior observed in gaseous plasmas for LWFA in the nonlinear (or bubble) regime. Using the PIConGPU code, bundles of CNTs are modeled in a 3D geometry as 25 nm-thick carbon tubes with an initial density of 1022 cm−3. The carbon plasma is ionized by a three-cycle, 800 nm wavelength laser pulse with a peak intensity of 1021 W cm−2, achieving an effective plasma density of 1020 cm−3. The same laser also drives the wakefield bubble, responsible for the electron self-injection and acceleration. Simulation results indicate that fs-long electron bunches with hundreds of pC charge can be self-injected and accelerated at gradients exceeding 1 TeV/m. Both charge and accelerating gradient figures are unprecedented when compared with LWFA in gaseous plasma. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

Objective: Mobile nutrition applications (apps) provide a simple way for individuals to record their diet, but the validity and inherent errors need to be carefully evaluated. The aim of this study was to assess the validity and clarify the sources of measurement errors of image-assisted mobile nutrition apps. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with 98 students recruited from School of Nutrition and Health Sciences, Taipei Medical University. A 3-d nutrient intake record by Formosa Food and Nutrient Recording App (FoodApp) was compared with a 24-h dietary recall (24-HDR). A two-stage data modification process, manual data cleaning, and reanalyzing of prepackaged foods were employed to address inherent errors. Nutrient intake levels obtained by the two methods were compared with the recommended daily intake (DRI), Taiwan. Paired t test, Spearman's correlation coefficients, and Bland–Altman plots were used to assess agreement between the FoodApp and 24-HDR. Results: Manual data cleaning identified 166 food coding errors (12%;stage 1), and 426 food codes with missing micronutrients (32%) were reanalyzed (stage 2). Positive linear trends were observed for total energy and micronutrient intake (all P_trend < 0.05) after the two stages of data modification, but not for dietary fat, carbohydrates, or vitamin D. There were no statistical differences in mean energy and macronutrient intake between the FoodApp and 24-HDR, and this agreement was confirmed by Bland–Altman plots. Spearman's correlation analyses showed strong to moderate correlations (r = 0.834 ∼ 0.386) between the two methods. Participants’ nutrient intake tended to be lower than the DRI, but no differences in proportions of adequacy/inadequacy for DRI values were observed between the two methods. Conclusions: Mitigating errors significantly improved the accuracy of the Formosa FoodApp, indicating its validity and reliability as a self-reporting mobile-based dietary assessment tool. This study explains the comparison of techniques for cropping existing in Matlab for graylevel images on periapical radiographs of human teeth. Some cropping techniques in Matlab are rectangular crop, square crop, circular crop, ellipse crop, polygon crop. This research will explain how each existing cropping technique will give different results based on their respective shapes. So that eventually will produce the most appropriate cropping techniques among several existing cropping techniques in mathlab. The five cropping techniques that have been mentioned here where the four existing cropping techniques namely rectangular crop, square crop, circular crop, ellipse crop still carry other objects that are not needed in research, so it is not appropriate to be used for research objects that have irregular shapes. Appropriate cropping technique is polygon cropping because it is able to identify research objects that have irregular shapes.
