The purpose of this study is to find the influence factors of blockchain technology adoption of payments system in Indonesia banking industry. Moreover, the researchers proposed new model of payment system by using blockchain technology in Indonesia banking industry. All this time, the researchers of blockchain in payment systems were done in major countries such as UK, USA, Australia, Scotland, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, and China. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) used as a method in this study and there were five databases that taken as references, such as IEEE, Science direct, AIS electronic, ACM and Google Scholar. The researchers were found 26 references Studies Included in Quantitative Synthesis and 9 variables (Easy to use, Usefulness, Transaction fees, Risk perception, Behaviour intention of use, Attitude toward, Cognitive style, Subjective Norm, Effectiveness). Based on the result of data analysis and discussion, there were two conclusions in this study, the first, the researchers found nine factors that expected tobe used as a reference if Indonesia banking industry wants to adopt blockchain technology for payment system;and second, the researchers had to propose payment system model by using blockchain technology in Indonesia banking industry. © 2018 IEEE.

Content Based Image Classification (CBIC) has garnered massive interest within research community for it's applications and significances in multiple areas. This paper has explored a robust feature vector definition scheme based on fusion of handcrafted features to neural network based feature extraction, popularly known as representation learning. The extracted handcrafted features are primarily evaluated with classification results to identify the best color space for significant descriptor definition. Further, feature vector extraction using pre-trained Convolution Neural Network is exercised for evaluating classification performance with representation learning features. Finally, an early fusion of handcrafted feature and representation learning feature is accomplished to examine the classification performance of the model. The test bed is prepared using Wang dataset having 10 different categories of 1000 images. Six different color spaces are explored to finalize the best fit for feature extraction with the proposed handcrafted technique. Performance analyses of the proposed model have turned out to be superior compared to state-of-the-art techniques and have established the importance of fusion based approach in enhancing the accuracy of content based image classification.

Computational models of acoustic wave propagation are frequently used in transcranial ultrasound therapy, for example, to calculate the intracranial pressure field or to calculate phase delays to correct for skull distortions. To allow intercomparison between the different modeling tools and techniques used by the community, an international working group was convened to formulate a set of numerical benchmarks. Here, these benchmarks are presented, along with intercomparison results. Nine different benchmarks of increasing geometric complexity are defined. These include a single-layer planar bone immersed in water, a multi-layer bone, and a whole skull. Two transducer configurations are considered (a focused bowl and a plane piston), giving a total of 18 permutations of the benchmarks. Eleven different modeling tools are used to compute the benchmark results. The models span a wide range of numerical techniques, including the finite-difference time-domain method, angular-spectrum method, pseudospectral method, boundary-element method, and spectral-element method. Good agreement is found between the models, particularly for the position, size, and magnitude of the acoustic focus within the skull. When comparing results for each model with every other model in a cross comparison, the median values for each benchmark for the difference in focal pressure and position are less than 10% and 1 mm, respectively. Scientific novelty drives the efforts to invent new vaccines and solutions during the pandemic. First-time collaboration and international collaboration are two pivotal channels to expand teams' search activities for a broader scope of resources required to address the global challenge, which might facilitate the generation of novel ideas. Our analysis of 98,981 coronavirus papers suggests that scientific novelty measured by the BioBERT model that is pre-trained on 29 million PubMed articles, and first-time collaboration increased after the outbreak of COVID-19, and international collaboration witnessed a sudden decrease. During COVID-19, papers with more first-time collaboration were found to be more novel and international collaboration did not hamper novelty as it had done in the normal periods. The findings suggest the necessity of reaching out for distant resources and the importance of maintaining a collaborative scientific community beyond nationalism during a pandemic. COVID-19 makes the community must carry out activities such as school, work, and worship at home. However, the long-running activities from home make people experience boredom which can lead to stress. On the other side, the entertainment obtained by the public through smartphones by reading articles by their interests can reduce boredom. This paper proposed a rules-based decision support system to help the people to make choices of their activities from home while COVID-19 e rules-based approach for make an application decision support system. Ruled base used in application to selected process through characteristics following the interests of the community. This decision support system is implemented in mobile web applications. The system can display articles based on interests by questions or statements through the front end system. The results showed that most users of the application in a happy condition while working from home.

This Research to Practice Paper presents the results of the evaluation of pre-university factors that impact the initial motivation of undergraduate students in computing. Although there are studies in the literature that have investigated some previous factors, this paper replicates a previous work that aims to consolidate several pre-university factors and, as the main differential, uses the AMS (Academic Motivation Scale), a scale already consolidated in the literature to measure students' initial motivation, and evaluate the relation between motivation and candidate factors. We applied a questionnaire to 159 students from different computing programs in ten universities, which evaluates 20 factors divided into 4 groups: personal and demographic data, taste and knowledge of the program and area, computing experience, and school performance. To evaluate the correlation between factors and motivation, we used Spearman's coefficient, t-student test, and ANOVA to evaluate the correlation between factors and motivation. As main results, we found significant variation in the initial motivation according to following factors: taste for programming and technology, knowledge about the undergraduate program content, correct perception about computing professionals, knowledge and experience in computer programming, and general school performance. © 2018 IEEE.

Indonesia is one of the countries whose people are most affected by the 2019 corona virus (COVID-19). When the corona virus spreads faster, the Indonesian government imposed large-scale social restrictions in big cities to villages in Indonesia. With the changing situation in carrying out work activities during this pandemic, it will certainly affect the quality of organization in companies and the quality of education in schools and colleges. In order to identify all processes in teaching and learning activities that are running well or not, schools need to monitor and measure employee performance. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are generally used as benchmarks to determine how well a company's performance can be represented by employee performance. In this study, the key performance indicator preparation process was carried out through the stages of designing a questionnaire, distributing questionnaires to employees in educational institutions, conducting factor analysis and then developing a KPI model. The output is in the form of a KPI model that can be used as a reference in the formation of KPIs in educational institutions, namely Y = 5,360 + 1,380 X1-1, 068 X3.

This Research Paper presents the evaluation of an instrument to identify the impact of motivation and engagement factors in undergraduate students in computing. Although researches indicate a direct impact of motivation and engagement on student performance and retention, few studies have been found that address which factors are relevant in this process. The instrument is a questionnaire based on the compilation of several works of the literature containing 48 items divided into 6 groups: personal and demographic data, general perception about motivation, perception about the university, student behavior, perception about program and perception about classes/teachers. The questionnaire evaluation is based on a case study with 112 undergraduate students in Software engineering. As a result, we found that the questionnaire can be considered reliable (Cronbach's alpha = 8904). Considering the validity of constructs, we found an acceptable degree of correlation between the most pair of items in each group (averaging 63%). We also found that the item-total correlation coefficient was only not adequate for one factor group, indicating satisfactory correlation for all other items. Finally, we found that the number of factors is coherent, but there are several items from different groups strongly correlated, indicating the need for a reorganization. © 2018 IEEE.

The role of nonstoquasticity in the field of quantum annealing and adiabatic quantum computing is an actively debated topic. We study a strongly-frustrated quasi-one-dimensional quantum Ising model on a two-leg ladder to elucidate how a first-order phase transition with a topological origin is affected by interactions of the ±XX-type. Such interactions are sometimes known as stoquastic (negative sign) and nonstoquastic (positive sign) “catalysts”. Carrying out a symmetry-preserving real-space renormalization group analysis and extensive density-matrix renormalization group computations, we show that the phase diagrams obtained by these two methods are in qualitative agreement with each other and reveal that the first-order quantum phase transition of a topological nature remains stable against the introduction of both XX-type catalysts. This is the first study of the effects of nonstoquasticity on a first-order phase transition between topologically distinct phases. Our results indicate that nonstoquastic catalysts are generally insufficient for removing topological obstacles in quantum annealing and adiabatic quantum computing.

Photonic technologies continue to drive the quest for new optical materials with unprecedented responses. A major frontier in this field is the exploration of nonlocal (spatially dispersive) materials, going beyond the local, wavevector-independent assumption traditionally made in optical material modeling. On one end, the growing interest in plasmonic, polaritonic and quantum materials has revealed naturally occurring nonlocalities, emphasizing the need for more accurate models to predict and design their optical responses. This has major implications also for topological, nonreciprocal, and time-varying systems based on these material platforms. Beyond natural materials, artificially structured materials—metamaterials and metasurfaces–can provide even stronger and engineered nonlocal effects, emerging from long-range interactions or multipolar effects. This is a rapidly expanding area in the field of photonic metamaterials, with open frontiers yet to be explored. In the case of metasurfaces, in particular, nonlocality engineering has become a powerful tool for designing strongly wavevector-dependent responses, enabling enhanced wavefront control, spatial compression, multifunctional devices, and wave-based computing. Furthermore, nonlocality and related concepts play a critical role in defining the ultimate limits of what is possible in optics, photonics, and wave physics. This Roadmap aims to survey the most exciting developments in nonlocal photonic materials, highlight new opportunities and open challenges, and chart new pathways that will drive this emerging field forward–toward new scientific discoveries and technological advancements.
