Traditional disease surveillance systems depend on outpatient reporting and virological test results released by hospitals. These data have valid and accurate information about emerging outbreaks but it's often not timely. In recent years the exponential growth of users getting connected to social media provides immense knowledge about epidemics by sharing related information. Social media can now flag more immediate concerns related to outbreaks in real time. In this paper we apply the long short-term memory recurrent neural network (RNN) architecture to classify tweets conveyed influenza-related information and compare its performance with baseline algorithms including support vector machine (SVM), decision tree, naive Bayes, simple logistics, and naive Bayes multinomial. The developed RNN model achieved an F-score of 0.845 on the MedWeb task test set, which outperforms the F-score of SVM without applying the synthetic minority oversampling technique by 0.08. The F-score of the RNN model is within 1% of the highest score achieved by SVM with oversampling technique. © 2017 AFNLP

Collective behaviour is known to be the result of diverse dynamics and is sometimes likened to a living system. Although many studies have revealed the dynamics of various collective behaviours, their main focus was on the information process inside the collective, not on the whole system itself. For example, the qualitative difference between two elements and three elements as a system has rarely been investigated. Tononi et al. have proposed Integrated information Theory (IIT) to measure the degree of consciousness Φ. IIT postulates that the amount of information loss caused by certain partitions is equivalent to the degree of information integration in the system. This measure is not only useful for estimating the degree of consciousness but can also be applied to more general network systems. Here we applied IIT (in particular, IIT 3.0 using PyPhi) to analyse real fish schools (Plecoglossus altivelis). Our hypothesis in this study is a very simple one: a living system evolves to raise its Φ value. If we accept this hypothesis, IIT reveals the existence of continuous and discontinuous properties as group size varies. For example, leadership in the fish school emerged for a school size of four or above;but not below three. Furthermore, this transition was not observed by measuring mutual information or in a simple Boids model. This result suggests that integrated information Φ can reveal some inherent properties which cannot be observed using other measures. We also discuss how the fish recognition of the figure-ground relation, that is, what determines the relevant ON and OFF states, may reveal various optimal paths for obtaining the functional evolution of collective behaviour. The inventory control systems has an important role to monitor the condition of the goods at the supply chain stage of goods distribution from the central warehouse to retail in accordance with consumer demand. The research aims to develop inventory control systems on the supply chain distribution of goods from suppliers to retail through the central warehouse with minimal supply chain costs. Minimization of supply chain cost using martingale model of forecast evaluation, and the result as the basis for calculation of safety stock and reorder point. The results of research are the system that can be used to control inventory and renewal of goods in the central warehouse by calculating the minimization of supply chain cost based on consumer demand. Case studies were conducted on the supply chain distribution of goods from the central warehouse to the retail in Semarang. The observation data derived from the goods distribution from central warehouse to retail for certain products over 4 time periods. Through such inventory control system, can minimize supply chain cost, and product inventory level can be maintained in time and amount of inventory that must be fulfilled. © 2018 IEEE.

KAGRA, the underground and cryogenic gravitational-wave detector, was operated for its solo observation from February 25 to March 10, 2020, and its first joint observation with the GEO 600 detector from April 7 to April 21, 2020 (O3GK). This study presents an overview of the input optics systems of the KAGRA detector, which consist of various optical systems, such as a laser source, its intensity and frequency stabilization systems, modulators, a Faraday isolator, mode-matching telescopes, and a high-power beam dump. These optics were successfully delivered to the KAGRA interferometer and operated stably during the observations. The laser frequency noise was observed to limit the detector sensitivity above a few kilohertz, whereas the laser intensity did not significantly limit the detector sensitivity.

Nowadays, messaging technology in digital data form more often used and not less messages that confidentially wanted. Then it should be modified so that can be understood only by the sender and the intended recipients. All of this system can be realization by using cryptography. LUC algorithms are introduced by Smith and Lennon in 1993. LUC algorithm is an algorithm that based on the use of Lucas sequence (specific arithmetic operations derived from Lucas row) that rarely used to enhance the security of the messages. In this research, LUC algorithm is combined with visual cryptography to process the encryption and the description of a colored image. Four different images were used in the trial here. The performance of the system is assessed using Structural similarity (SSIM) which has an assessment similar to human eye. If the image quality is the same as the original image, then the SSIM value is one. Whereas if the quality of decryption image is very different from the original image then the value of SSIM is zero. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Medical record (MedRec) of the patient is derived from several healthcare providers i.e. hospital, the national provider, and laboratories which contains personally identifiable information test yet referred to therapeutic procedures and medications of the patient. MedRec has been compiled and maintained by several providers thus resulting in separated and disseminated the data among the parties. Mostly, the MedRecs are stored in provider's database and the patients have no control to manage and access their data. Hence, in this paper, we propose a conceptual model for managing the data of medical record using blockchain technology in the peer-to-peer network with several protocols are embedded in the system. The proposed model aims to facilitate the patients in order to manage their data from various providers into a single view. Blockchain offers the promise of an immutable, single source of truth from multiple sources and facilitates a trust as well as validates an identity without the third-party involvement.

Game Relations and Functions are digital game-based learning in junior high school mathematics subjects. In this study will discuss how to use the game Relationships and Functions that have been designed using the Balanced Design method. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with the One group Pretest Post-test design. A total of 40 junior high school students were involved in this study to determine differences in student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain before and after using the Relationship and Function games. The instrument used is a type of multiple choice objective test of 20 questions with details of 8 questions related to relations material and 12 questions related to functions material. The results showed that there were differences in the improvement of student learning outcomes before and after using the game Relations and Functions in Mathematics subjects.

computer and web security system is an attempt to avoid attacks from crackers because a form and method of crime on internet network can not be predicted. Therefore, we just keep trying to use various methods in securing the system that is running. It is the same in web testing that can be accessed online by people who are not responsible from along distance to change and remove the test results or even damage the web testing system. So, the purpose of this paper is to design and implement web security testing system by using semantic comparison method to avoid structured query language injection (SQLI) attack and to do security on web testing application using Message Digest 5 encryption (MD5). Research data were obtained by using direct observation and documentation and literature review. After the design and application of the system, it can be obtained that by using semantic comparison method in web testing can prevent the occurrence of SQL injection attacks and can secure account from web testing users by using MD5. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This Research Paper presents the evaluation of an instrument to identify the impact of motivation and engagement factors in undergraduate students in computing. Although researches indicate a direct impact of motivation and engagement on student performance and retention, few studies have been found that address which factors are relevant in this process. The instrument is a questionnaire based on the compilation of several works of the literature containing 48 items divided into 6 groups: personal and demographic data, general perception about motivation, perception about the university, student behavior, perception about program and perception about classes/teachers. The questionnaire evaluation is based on a case study with 112 undergraduate students in Software engineering. As a result, we found that the questionnaire can be considered reliable (Cronbach's alpha = .8904). Considering the validity of constructs, we found an acceptable degree of correlation between the most pair of items in each group (averaging 63%). We also found that the item-total correlation coefficient was only not adequate for one factor group, indicating satisfactory correlation for all other items. Finally, we found that the number of factors is coherent, but there are several items from different groups strongly correlated, indicating the need for a reorganization.
