The digital twin is an emerging means of improving realworld performance from virtual spaces, especially related to supply chain 5.0 in Industry 5.0. This framework employs the Integrated Cloud-Twin Synchronization (ICTS) to secure data storage, trusted tracking, and high reliability and serves as an architectural framework for integrating sustainable supply-chain enterprises. In this work, we introduce a high-level architecture of a cloud-based digital twin model for supply chain 5.0, which was created to align the system of supply chain through real-time observation as well as real-time supply chain 5.0 decision-making and control. This study introduces a cloud-based twin optimization model for supply chain 5.0, validated through genetic algorithm (GA) simulations. The model determines optimal weights to balance objectives, achieving an optimal objective function value that reflects trade-offs among operational efficiency, cost, and sustainability. A convergence plot illustrates the model’s iterative solution improvements, demonstrating its dynamic adaptability. Lastly, the proposed model defines and tests a supply chain performance analysis through dynamic simulations. © 2025 D. Sasi Latha et al., licensed to EAI. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze correlation and explore the logistics scorecard factors that are influencing the implementation of financial performance in the Thai industry. The data collected from the logistics scorecard appraisal forms of 254 sectors in Thailand. Factor Analysis (Principal component analysis: PCA) Technique was applied to the construct validity of factors to extract factors of logistics scorecard indicators from all 23 items. The factor scores of the generated elements were analyzed by using correlation techniques and regression analysis with dependent variables as selected financial ratios. The results of the paper demonstrated that three organizational factors were Organizational management and development factor, Service and Responsiveness factor and Information management factor. Also, the Information management factor influenced Receivable Turnover Ratio, Assets to Equity ratio and Debt to Equity ratio at a significant level. © 2019 ACM.

We perform an empirical study to analyze whether it would be beneficial for a company to switch from traditional procurement system to e-procurement system. For this purpose, we determine the main barriers and benefits of e-procurement systems, and using Structural Equation Modeling, we analyze the effects of the barriers and benefits on the e-procurement adoption decision. The results denote that barriers (benefits) of e-procurement systems have negative (positive) effect on the adoption decision. We also find that the effect of the benefits is higher than that of the barriers, indicating that it would be beneficial for the company to adopt the e-procurement system. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

This research is to evaluate the effect of knowledge management (KM) on decision-making levels of supply chain (DMSC) in relations to organizational performance (OP). This research has gathered questionnaire survey from 255 Thai manufacturing firms. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was utilized to create a causal model to assess the relationships in between KM, DMSC and OP. The result has shown that KM strongly correlates with both DMSC and OP. © 2019 ACM.

The transit-oriented development (tod) index and its application to metro stations in bangkok

Studies on the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) for Bangkok are found sparingly. The TOD concept is a supportive development for the rapidly changing city in order to reduce urban transport problems while encouraging people to shift transport modes to use public transportations instead of private cars. This study discusses the context of TOD in the density, the design, and the diversity of land use around transit stations among successful stations in many countries. There were 18 station areas in Bangkok which, by using the TOD Readiness score, the assessment of the stations implies that the higher scoring transit stations are more compatible to supporting pedestrian use of the transit station with lower car dependency. The 4 top-scoring stations were assessing by using multinomial logistic regression model. The study has found TOD scores and the frequent uses of the stations consequently encourage the commuters around the station areas decided to rely on public transport instead of car dependency. This is an effort to overcome the understanding of the station areas by reducing the complexity of the TOD contexts to any transit station in Thailand to be eligible for future study. © 2021 Jungseok Research Institute of International logistics and Trade.

Influencing air force logisticians' information seeking during the COVID-19 pandemic: the role of organizational meetings in an expanded PRISM framework

Purpose: This research aims to understand how organizational workplace meetings surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic impacted logistics Airmen across the United States Air Force and how these meetings impacted their risk seeking behavior on social media. Design/methodology/approach: This survey research tested an extended Planned Risk Information Risk Seeking Model (PRISM) with organizational meetings as an antecedent to determine if current meetings influenced an Airman's perceived behavioral control, attitude toward seeking, subjective norms, knowledge sufficiency and intention to seek information regarding COVID-19. Findings: Results of the CFA showed that the expanded PRISM model had good model fit. Additionally, using a custom dialog PROCESS macro in SPSS, it was found that perceptions of existing meetings were directly, positively related to attitude toward seeking, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control, and indirectly related to knowledge sufficiency threshold and information seeking. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed. This study proposes a novel problem for solving task scheduling in cross docking. In particular, we formulate a mathematical model for the task scheduling between inbound and outbound dock doors in order to minimize total operational time based on limited resource. The goal is to determine the start time and finish time of each operation on the assigned working team and transfer equipment with respect to maximum resource utilization. The use of mathematical model is paving the way to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for smart decision in cross docking since AI is a key factor in Industries 4.0. Moreover, facility cost is analyzed based on trade-off features between cost and makespan so that a decision can be made based on a decision maker's preference.

The food supply chain at present is important to the human and there have a lot of transportation modes to distribute food from manufacturer to customer also business to business. The customers there need fresh food and the providers always find the best way in logistics that send their food to customers with the best quality and fresh, that is why the cold chain of logistics is popular and needs to improve more for the customers. However, there is no clear way to improve the performance and assessment of food logistics service, the aim of this study focused on service quality of food logistics and identify a set of service quality dimensions that developed from the SERVQUAL model for measuring their logistics process after that researcher prioritized the dimensions and sub-dimensions by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and finalize the local weight and global weight from AHP result. Finally, this research has shown the providers and the customers were prioritized for punctuality in food logistics service. It should be concern and improvement about punctuality in a food logistics service at the same time, the worst dimension of the provider's perspective is tangible and the customer perspective is empathy, that they did not pay attention it should be improved later. © 2023 IEEE.

Trains as a means of mass transportation should protect passengers against potential accidents. To reduce the risk of train accidents due to collisions, train manufacturers should implement a passive safety system. The passive safety system could be in the form of an impact-absorbing module that is used to absorb impact energy during a collision and to minimize the damage of vehicle structures in the passenger area. This study uses a module with a circular, hexagonal, and square cross-sectional shape mounted on the front end of the medium-speed train. Finite element simulations were carried out based on the standards of SNI 8826 and EN 15227. The materials used are aluminum 6005A, mild steel AISI 1018, and glass laminated with polyvinyl butyral (PVB), which are defined as bilinear elastic–plastic for the material properties and as Johnson–Cook model for the material behaviors. The numerical simulation indicated that the module with a circular cross-section has good energy kinetic absorption and fulfills the safety requirement according to the standards for the collision under speed of 45 km/h. Besides, the square cross-section can be used as a protective frame due to lower axial deformation. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Within this paper, we aim to highlight the potential of unstructured data sources such as blogs to complement and improve data triangulation and to support supply chain decision making. To this end, we combine the fields of supply chain management and control theory to provide a proof of concept for the utilization of unstructured data. An in-depth application example for the monitoring of trends on product features in fashion supply chains is developed using blog based textual data.
