Fish handling conditions on the market nowadays mainly in the traditional market is less a principle handling with caution, fast, and clean, making the selling fish polluted with chemical, physical, and microbiological pollutants. The fish handling on the modern market is generally better than the traditional markets. Puncak Permai and Simo Gunung Market provide fresh fish more than any other market in Surabaya, making these markets become the main destination for consumers, therefore this study was conducted to observe the fish freshness in both markets. The purpose of this study was to compare the freshness and observe the handling way of traders situating in both markets. This research used a survey method that was conducted for seven times sampling with three days of interval sampling. This study took three types of marine fish. The main parameters observed were pH and organoleptic values, while the supporting parameters were interviewed data. The result showed that the handling method had a significant effect (p<0.05) on the organoleptic condition of all samples observed, but it had no significant effect (p>0.05) on the pH level.

Air pollution has been linked to respiratory diseases, and urban air pollution can be attributed to a number of emission sources. The emitted particles and gases are the primary components of air pollution that enter the lungs during respiration. Particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of ≤ 2.5 µm (PM) can deposit deep into the respiratory tract via inhalation and has been proposed as a causative agent for adverse respiratory health. In addition, the lung contains a diverse microbial community (microbiome) that maintains normal homeostasis and is significantly altered in a variety of pulmonary disorders. Air pollution, specifically PM, has previously been shown to significantly alter the composition of the lower airway microbiome, which has been linked to decreased lung function in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. Surprisingly, the intestinal microbiome has also been implicated in the modulation of pulmonary inflammatory diseases. Therefore, dysbiosis of the lung and intestinal microbiomes pose significant negative effects on human health. This dataset describes the microbial community profiles of the lungs and intestines of ageing rats exposed to ambient unconcentrated traffic-related air pollution for three months. The whole-body exposure system was equipped with and without high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration (gaseous vs. PM pollution). The data can provide valuable information on lung and intestinal microbiome changes, including that which was only found after traffic-related air pollution exposure.

We present demography of the dynamics and gas-mass fraction of 33 extremely metal-poor galaxies (EMPGs) with metallicities of 0.015 − 0.195 Zo and low stellar masses of 104 − 108 Mo in the local universe. We conduct deep optical integral-field spectroscopy (IFS) for the low-mass EMPGs with the medium high resolution (R = 7500) grism of the 8m-Subaru FOCAS IFU instrument by the EMPRESS 3D survey, and investigate Hα emission of the EMPGs. Exploiting the resolution high enough for the low-mass galaxies, we derive gas dynamics with the Hα lines by the fitting of 3-dimensional disk models. We obtain an average maximum rotation velocity (vrot) of 15 ± 3 km s−1 and an average intrinsic velocity dispersion (σ0) of 27 ± 10 km s−1 for 15 spatially resolved EMPGs out of the 33 EMPGs, and find that all of the 15 EMPGs have vrot/σ0 rot/σ0 with the decreasing stellar mass and metallicity. We derive the gas mass fraction (fgas) for all of the 33 EMPGs, and find no clear dependence on stellar mass and metallicity. These vrot/σ0 and fgas trends should be compared with young high-z galaxies observed by the forthcoming JWST IFS programs to understand the physical origins of the EMPGs in the local universe. © 2023, CC BY.

The technological improvement of marginal land was conducted through examination on three treatments; land soaking and washing (A), land remediation (B) and land reclamation (C). The highest average closure rate of klekap (66.667±5.774 %) was gained from B, and the highest average closure rate of Chaetomorpha sp (88.667±8.083 %) was derived from A. The Apocyclopas discovery through the study can become preliminary information to reveal the existence of Phronima Suppa, the indicator of tiger shrimp farming success. The land remediation (B), followed with contaminants detoxification employing plankton, is more effective in eliminating pesticide residue, depressing bacteria population and creating quality water and pond bottom soil according to the organic tiger shrimp production standard.

CLNS1A is a chloride channel protein and an essential component of the methylosome complex, which additionally comprises PRMT5 and MEP50. In this study, we investigated its contribution to lung cancer and its potential as a therapeutic target. Analysis of transcriptomic datasets and western blotting revealed that CLNS1A, PRMT5, and MEP50 were overexpressed in lung cancer tissues, with elevated CLNS1A expression correlating with poor patient survival. CLNS1A overexpression enhanced platinum clearance from cells, increased the IC50 values for chemotherapy, and improved cell survival. Conversely, the knockdown of CLNS1A increased drug accumulation, reduced survival, and increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. The 3W mutant, a chloride channel-defective variant with steric hindrance at key bottleneck residues, impaired chloride ion transport, thereby reducing drug resistance, migration, and anchorage-independent growth. Mechanistically, CLNS1A promotes drug efflux through its chloride channel activity and activates the FAK-SRC-RAC1 pathway to enhance motility and clonogenicity. It also facilitates PRMT5-mediated RUVBL1 methylation to support anti-apoptotic DNA damage response signaling. In vivo, CLNS1A overexpression accelerated tumor growth and reduced survival, whereas CLNS1A knockdown sensitized tumors to cisplatin, enhancing therapeutic efficacy. These findings suggest that CLNS1A is a potential biomarker and therapeutic target, and its inhibition offers a strategy to overcome drug resistance and limit the metastatic progression of lung cancer. © 2025 The Authors

In this paper, we applied K-means++, Agglomerative and Decision Tree techniques to classify characteristics of Thai business organizations toward the perceived benefit of predictive analytics. We believe that different characteristics of business organizations require different solution approaches to overcome challenges and gain business value. In the exploratory survey, we collected 84 respondents, who are data analysts, business analysts, business owners, management, and IT managers. The respondents' size of organization varies from small firms to large firms. The result from three techniques of classification shows that Thai business organizations perceiving the benefit of predictive analytics could be divided into two groups. We further confirmed that with the analysis of variance technique to identify the difference of means in each parameter. We also found that the most important descriptive profile is led by customer-related factors such as a change in the percentage of customers, the number of direct customers, and number of sales and marketing staff. These are followed by technology factors, which are the number of external and internal data sources and number of analytics and technologies currently used for data analytics.

Speed and simplicity in the process of finding documents and information have become a necessity in the campus library. The speed in finding a skripsi document that is currently still very long to find the data and more simple in displaying what you are looking for then we aim to search and find skripsi documents in a digital library at a private university in Jakarta more quickly and display what which is searched precisely. An approach is needed using the VSM method that encourages without complete keywords, and to see the effectiveness of research searches. The results of the VSM method can be applied for the development of prototype applications. The prototype used to facilitate the process of searching or finding the documents and information needed is fast and simple.

This work investigates strategic management processes of projects involved in the Brazilian aerospace field, addressing the Regional Center of the Amazon of the National Institute of Space Research. It proposes an approach in the monitoring of the evolution of projects by evaluation of professional performance, showing results in graphs and the need to survey and follow the most evident and significant technological advances in the mapping environment of land use and land cover in the Amazon. It addresses the main difficulties faced in the process of managing projects and people to achieve goals, needing to know the Geographic Information System tools used by employees, such as Terramazon, and their respective times consumed in this type of software. The work intends to serve as a basis for investigating, developing and implementing new management options that will reduce the efforts required by managers and administrators during the process of monitoring the evolution of projects. The methodology of Project management Institute (PMI) and its Guide to the Project management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) was used in this research work, ensuring an international quality.

In 2023, La Niña conditions that generally prevailed in the eastern Pacific Ocean from mid-2020 into early 2023 gave way to a strong El Niño by October. Atmospheric concentrations of Earth’s major greenhouse gases—carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide—all increased to record-high levels. The annual global average carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere rose to 419.3±0.1 ppm, which is 50% greater than the pre-industrial level. The growth from 2022 to 2023 was 2.8 ppm, the fourth highest in the record since the 1960s. The combined short-term effects of El Niño and the long-term effects of increasing levels of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere contributed to new records for many essential climate variables reported here. The annual global temperature across land and oceans was the highest in records dating as far back as 1850, with the last seven months (June–December) having each been record warm. Over land, the globally averaged temperature was also record high. Dozens of countries reported record or near-record warmth for the year, including China and continental Europe as a whole (warmest on record), India and Russia (second warmest), and Canada (third warmest). Intense and widespread heatwaves were reported around the world. In Vietnam, an all-time national maximum temperature record of 44.2°C was observed at Tuong Duong on 7 May, surpassing the previous record of 43.4°C at Huong Khe on 20 April 2019. In Brazil, the air temperature reached 44.8°C in Araçuaí in Minas Gerais on 20 November, potentially a new national record and 12.8°C above normal. The effect of rising temperatures was apparent in the cryosphere, where snow cover extent by June 2023 was the smallest in the 56-year record for North America and seventh smallest for the Northern Hemisphere overall. The solution to solve these challenges is the waste management. The waste management is needed to solve starting from upstream to downstream. The waste management in downstream is in the landfill. The management Landfill not only manages solid waste but also waste water treatment. One form of waste water treatments in a landfill is the leachate treatment. The leachate treatment is a priority for management in landfill because it can reduce water, soil, air pollution in the landfill and the surrounding environment. In order to determine the best option among several alternatives to manage the leachate treatment, this research used Analytic Network Process (ANP) with three levels (actors, criteria, and alternatives). Secondary and primary data collection was carried out from April until June 2019 in Indonesia. Data were collected through a survey using questionnaire instrument. Participants of questionnaire amount of 20 people. The participants from lecturers, government, and society. The finding of this research showed that the leachate treatment using coagulation-flocculation was easier to be used in Indonesia.
