We propose a scoring model that detects outpatient clinics with abusive utilization patterns based on profiling information extracted from electronic insurance *** model consists of (1) scoring to quantify the degree of abusiveness and (2) segmentation to categorize the problematic providers with similar utilization *** performed the modeling for 3705 Korean internal medicine *** applied data from practitioner claims submitted to the National Health Insurance Corporation for outpatient care during the 3rd quarter of 2007 and used 4th quarter data to validate the *** considered the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Services decisions on interventions to be accurate for model *** compared the conditional probability distributions of the composite degree of anomaly (CDA) score formulated for intervention and non-intervention *** assess the validity of the model,we examined confusion matrices by intervention history and group as defined by the CDA *** CDA aggregated 38 indicators of abusiveness for individual clinics,which were grouped based on the CDAs,and we used the decision tree to further segment them into homogeneous clusters based on their utilization *** validation indicated that the proposed model was largely consistent with the manual detection techniques currently used to identify potential *** proposed model,which can be used to automate abuse detection,is flexible and easy to *** may present an opportunity to fight escalating healthcare costs in the era of increasing availability of electronic healthcare information.

The increase on the competitiveness, the search on the customer satisfaction, the search by reducing waste in civil construction were facts that helped entrepreneurs and companies to seek new ways of working, being lean construction one of the ways to get that. Studies report that the application of the Lean tools in construction was carried out in an isolated way. This type of application was pointed as a major fact limiting the extent of achievement in implementing Lean principles. The aim of this studies is to identify opportunities to implement the principles of Lean Production in the service department of a construction company in Goiás, proposing routines that try to implement the continuous improvement of its processes, eliminating waste, reducing the Lead Time, allowing it to perform the mapping processes, improving the way records of requests for technical assistance, among others. For data collection it was carried out a semi-structured interview in four construction companies. Through the analysis of the responses, some Lean tools were developed like flowchart mapping of activities, an action plan for preventive maintenance and an application form for technical assistance, focusing on helping small and medium construction building companies to structure a Post Work Construction Department ruled on the Lean principles (pull, perfection, value stream). It was concluded pointing out some difficulties in the implementation of lean principles in the department and emphasizing the Lean concepts that can be presented within the activities of the Post Work Construction Department.

This paper presents an implementation of the Ant Colony Algorithm for the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). For the calculation of the best way between two adjacent points in the route, the classical algorithm of Dijkstra was used. Field activities and tests were carried out in different collective organisations, and collection and distribution route maps were created for each pilot-organisation. During the development of the system, some processes were revised in order to better adjust the routes, after considering the parameters related to cost, time and sales volume. The main difficulties in the development of this system were related to the adaptation of the standards proposed by urban routing systems to a rural context. Also, concerning the future trends of the model, many efforts have been made to improve the geographical interface and to test other VRP algorithms, like VRP with time windows and Dynamic VRP. This paper deals with imperfect preventive maintenance (PM) for a serial production system. PM is carried out periodically at a fixed interval. PM can not restore the machines as new, but between as-good-as-new and as-bad-as-old (imperfect). PM decreases virtual age of the machines which may different for one machine to another. The failure occurred between PM is repaired minimally. The optimal coordinated PM interval is obtained to meet the availability target at minimum cost. The coordinated PM results are compared with those of independent PM. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the model solution.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a regulation determinant applicable for Internet- based convergent media. The adaptation of Internet in the media industry has dismissed the role of scarcity and pervasiveness which used to justify regulating media. A basic question is how technical feature of convergent media affects diversity, one of the essential goals of media regulation. The Structuration theory suggests that media technology doesn't change the level of diversity directly, but it changes participant's actions, consequently affecting the level of diversity in a society. Broadcaster as a gatekeeper has a strong incentive to have more power in screening and provisioning information in the process of delivering information to users whereas information owner and user also do so for their sakes. Diversity is promoted when information flows from its origins to final uses without constraints. Considering that the degrees of broadcaster's control of information flow are varied depending on architecture of convergent media and it affects the level of diversity it, the study concludes that the level of control over information flow by broadcaster can serve as a regulation determinant of upcoming convergent media. The study is the first to extend structuration theory to the media regulation study and is expected to make a practical contribution as it proposes a unified concept as a guiding rule for convergent media regulation.

Biodiesel is an alternative to conventional diesel fuel and is defined as the mono-alkyl esters of vegetable oils and animal fats. Vegetable oils-based biodiesels can produced by transesterification process. From all of the biodiesel feedstocks, palm oil is the potential candidate. The objective of this study is to investigate the environmental impact of biodiesel production from palm oil in Indonesia using life cycle assessment methodology. The functional unit of this study is 1 ton biodiesel. The main contributor of global warming potential is the use of fertilizers and herbicides in the plantation stage contributing 53%. Co-products from palm oil process can be used for energy in the mill. Electricity also gives high environmental impact since it is purchased from the electricity grid mix which relies mostly on coal fired power plants. The biodiesel production stage was the main contributor for photochemical oxidation impact. Transportation also has a significant contribution to the environmental impacts.

There is little objective, scientific research focused on evaluating the loss exposure that results from cloud computing. In this study, a modified Delphi method and the analytic hierarchy process were employed to identify and evaluate risks of cloud computing. The findings of this study are:(1) Loss exposures attributable to Jurisdiction, Burglary, Natural disaster, Normal wear and tear or malfunctions are characterized by high frequency but relatively low severity.(2) Loss exposures attributable to Privacy, Damaged or spoiled by employees intentionally or accidentally, and System vulnerability can be addressed through insurance.(3) Risks generated through Agreement or contract, Social engineering, Mistakes made by employees intentionally or accidentally, and Cross-cloud compatibility are characterized by both high frequency and severity.

Retail business has the environment reflect their unique identity. This research thus aims, firstly, to study the unique corporate retail identity. Secondly, it aims to examine the, type of product, sale activities, and storage system toward spatial needs of the sale environment. Finally, the research investigates the physical appearance conveying seasonal identity and meaning responsive to purchasers’ perception towards the final design guideline recommendation. The research anticipates that the case study could find a pattern of how people perceive and react to the built environment, and it could also reveal a proper research methodology to reveal environment and behavior pattern.
