Ijen geothermal area is high-temperature geothermal system located in Bondowoso regency, East Java. It is categorized as caldera-hosted geothermal system which is covered by quaternary andesitic volcanic rocks with steep topography at the surrounding. Several surface thermal manifestations are found, such as altered rocks near Mt. Kukusan and a group of Blawan hotsprings in the northern part of the caldera. Geomagnetic survey was conducted at 72 stations which is distributed inside the caldera to delineate the existence of hydrothermal activity. Magnetic anomaly was obtained by reducing total magnetic measured on the field by IGRF and diurnal variation. Reduction to pole (RTP) method was applied with geomagnetic inclination of about-32°. In general, the result shows that high magnetic anomaly is distributed at the boundary of study area, while low magnetic anomaly is observed in the centre. The low anomaly indicates demagnetized rock that probably caused by hydrothermal activity. It has a good correlation with surface alteration observed close to Mt. Kukusan as well as high temperature reservoir drilled in the centre of caldera. Accordingly, the low magnetic anomaly also presents the possibility of geothermal reservoir in Ijen geothermal area. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

Reservoir characterization through seismic inversion is the principle method in hydrocarbon exploration. Facies probability is an advance method of reservoir characterization which integrates model-based seismic inversion and facies classification to construct a better reservoir modelling. The reservoir modelling is produced from four main steps. First is crossplot analysis to define the relation between acoustic parameter and petrophysics parameter. Second, model-based seismic inversion to produce acoustic impedance volume from seismic data. Third, facies classification which is defined from porosity effective, shale volume and water saturation. Final step is Bayesian Inference Framework to model probability density function (pdf) of each facies. The result of crossplot analysis shows that there is a linear relationship between acoustic impedance and porosity hence the porosity volume can be derived from the model-based inversion result. Facies classification is divided into two categorical zone, pay and non-pay. Pay zone is categorized as a high porosity layer filled with gas. Its parameters fit with Vshale > 0.6, Sw 0.22. Then estimation is run using Bayesian probability into acoustic impedance volume and porosity volume resulting probability volume of each facies. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to describe the presence or absence of the effect of the Aptitude-treatment Interaction (ATI) strategy in discovery learning models on the ability to understand mathematical concepts and self-confidence. Which one is superior to the ATI strategy in the discovery learning model and the discovery learning model in terms of the ability to understand mathematical concepts and students' self-confidence. This type of research was a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population was all students of class X at a senior high school in East Sumba district. Two classes as samples were chosen randomly. Descriptive statistical data analysis was carried out, then it continued with testing hypotheses using the Manova test. The results showed that there was an effect of the ATI strategy in the discovery learning model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts and students' self-confidence. Learning with the ATI strategy in the discovery learning model is superior to learning with the unmodified discovery learning models on the ability to understand mathematical concepts and students' self-confidence. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. This article discusses the mathematical model of changes in the number of cancer cells as a result of the intervention. Here the effect of combination treatment, in the form of virus injection and chemotherapy on tumor cells, is presented in detail. There are two different tumor cells, uninfected tumor cells and infected tumor cells. Model simulations with different parameters were performed for 700 d. The initial values for the population of virus-infected tumor cells are divided into two categories. The number of tumor cells injected with the virus is 1/2 (half) and all tumor cells that are not infected. Based on the simulation results, it was concluded that the more the number of tumor cells injected with the virus, the faster the decrease in the number of tumor cell populations. It was also concluded that the reduced population of tumor cells reduces the amount of chemotherapy concentration used. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Faced with the complexities of managing natural gas-dependent power system amid the surge of renewable integration and load unpredictability, this study explores strategies for navigating emergency transitions to costlier secondary fuels. Our aim is to develop decision-support tools for operators during such exigencies. We approach the problem through a Markov Decision Process (MDP) framework, accounting for multiple uncertainties. These include the potential for dual-fuel generator failures and operator response during high-pressure situations. Additionally, we consider the finite reserves of primary fuel, governed by gas-flow partial differential equations (PDEs) and constrained by nodal pressure. Other factors include the variability in power forecasts due to renewable generation and the economic impact of compulsory load shedding. For tractability, we address the MDP in a simplified context, replacing it by Markov Processes evaluated against a selection of policies and scenarios for comparison. Our study considers two models for the natural gas system: an oversimplified model tracking linepack and a more nuanced model that accounts for gas flow network heterogeneity. The efficacy of our methods is demonstrated using a realistic model replicating Israel's power-gas infrastructure. © 2024 IEEE.

Nationally Standardized School Examination result is used as a students' graduation requirement. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that its test items must be well constructed to assess. The aim of this study was to describe the characteristics of non-compulsory mathematics test items on Nationally Standardized School Examination of senior high school in Kaimana Regency, West Papua based on the items analysis. This study was a descriptive exploratory type of quantitative research. Data obtained from a set of Non-compulsory mathematics test items including documentation of students' answers of the following test items on Nationally Standardized School Examination of senior high school in Kaimana Regency, West Papua. A set of this test item was validated by 5 experts and analyzed by applying Classical Test Theory. Results showed that the content validity was valid for 0.9 as the average of index Aiken. The reliability of test items was in less reliable level. The items difficulty indicated that 29 items (85.3%) were hard and 5 items (14.7%) were moderate. The value of items discrimination index for 12 items (53.3%) were classified as good and 22 items (64.7%) were poor. For multiple-choice items, the distractor was made by the developer, worked effectively. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Reasoning skill plays an important role in developing all other mathematical skills. However, the results of subhan's research (2017) inform that students are still weak and have difficulty in solving mathematical reasoning questions. Therefore, a study to analyze students' difficulties in solving reasoning questions should be conducted to overcome this problem. Participants in the study were 15 of the 25 public high school students in Bantul district of Yogyakarta who had completed mathematical reasoning questions. They were deliberately chosen because when they completed mathematical reasoning questions from 25 students only 15 students completed mathematical reasoning questions in their entirety. The instruments of mathematical reasoning are as many as five questions in the class XI line material that has been tested for *** analysis was performed using types of difficulties adapted from procedure Newman which includes (1) reading, (2) comprehension, (3) transformation, (4) process skill, and (5) encoding. The results of the study indicate to encoding difficulties of 37.93%, comprehension difficulties of 24.14%, transformation difficulties of 19.54%, and process skill difficulties of 18.39%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

One strategy for emission reduction in Indonesia is the dedieselization program, replacing diesel power plants with renewables. Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) type Small Modular Reactor (SMR) is also a consideration. This study aims to compare fuel performance in SMRs. Four fuel types with varying fissile and fertile nuclides but equal fissile mass percentages were assessed: U235- U238, U235-Th232, U233-U238, and U233-Th232, using PIJ SRAC 2006 and JENDL 4.0. Parameters include neutron multiplication factor, conversion ratio, and isotope production. Results indicated that U233-U238 has a highest initial neutron multiplication factor, 1.55. Substituting uranium-238 with thorium-232 boosts neutron flux and conversion, reducing nuclear proliferation risk. While initial neutron multiplication may not be highest, thorium-232 can produce uranium-233 with high initial neutron multiplication factor. This research aids fuel selection for Indonesia SMR dedieselization program. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
