O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar uma planta de captação e aproveitamento de carbono dos gases de exaustão de um processo siderúrgico para sua conversão em combustíveis de interesse. O software Chemical Equilibrium with Applications é utilizado para analisar o comportamento das frações molares do gás de síntese no reator de deslocamento água-gás e reator Fischer Tropsch. A melhor faixa de parâmetros operacionais é de 200 a 250ºC, 4,5 MPa, e 2,0 para relação H2/CO2. Posteriormente, é realizado um estudo da cinética e influência do reator adiabático de fluxo em fluxo e do catalisador comercial Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 na síntese de Fischer Tropsch para a formação de metanol e etanol. Observa-se que, para a conversão em metanol, quanto maior a relação H2/CO2, maior a formação deste produto e menor a geração de CO2. Para o etanol, pode-se observar que as frações deste combustível e de CO2 diminuem com o aumento da relação H2/CO2. Por fim, é realizado um estudo de caso contendo as análises exergoeconômicas e exergoambientais de uma turbina a gás movida a metanol. O menor rendimento exergético obtido no ciclo em análise é o do compressor (27,02%) enquanto o maior valor é apresentado pela câmara de combustão (48,63%). O menor valor do fator exergoeconômico é apresentado pela câmara de combustão. A turbina é o componente que possui maior índice de impacto ambiental, enquanto a câmara de combustão é o equipamento que demonstra maior facilidade em reduzir esse tipo de impacto. © 2023, The Authors. The present work aims to analyze a plant for capturing and using carbon from the exhaust gases of a steelmaking process for their conversion into fuels of interest. Chemical Equilibrium with Applications software is used to analyze the behavior of syngas molar fractions in the water-gas shift reactor and in the Fischer Tropsch reactor. The best range of operational parameters obtained is from 200 to 250ºC, 4.5 MPa and 2.0 for the H2/CO2 ratio. Subsequently, a study is carried out on the kinetics and influence of the plug-flow adiabatic reactor and the commercial catalyst Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 for the formation of methanol and ethanol. The higher the H2/CO2 ratio, the greater the formation of methanol and the lower the CO2 fraction. Ethanol and CO2 fractions decrease with increasing H2/CO2 ratio. Finally, a case study of a methanol-powered gas turbine is carried out. The lowest exergetic efficiency obtained is that of the compressor (27.02%) while the highest is that of the combustion chamber (48.63%). The lowest value of the exergoeconomic factor is presented by the combustion chamber. The turbine is the component that has the highest environmental impact. © 2022, The Authors.
