Mathematical model of viscous petroleum fluid for consequential migration in porous solid

Viscous fluid transport or crude natural petroleum migration in a form of the laminar flow of incompressible fluids and hydrocarbon classification are principal to study the mass flow rate according to Darcy’s law and Hagen-Poiseuille law. Natural petroleum classification is concerned for its migration from a reservoir to underground surface. Its chemical aspect can be categorized into hydrocarbon as paraffinic, intermediate paraffinic, aromatic, and asphaltic classes, in the ratio of 5:10:4:1, respectively. Its property signifies two types of paraffinic and intermediate classes. The volumetric flow rates implicate to petroleum migration which refers to hydrocarbon classifications. These indicate possibility of migration with the mass flow of hydrocarbon class. Correlation of their volumetric flow rates can appraise the configuration of the volumetric flow rates as a function of mass of flow rates with three classifications: typical crude oil, heavy crude oil, bitumen. Crude petroleum classes are bitumen to heavy crude oil, and can be anticipated a progress of the migration zones of heavy crude oil, heavy crude oil-bitumen, and bitumen zone. Consequently, assessment results expose that the slow volumetric flow rates associate to petroleum migration, pressure depths, and crude petroleum classification.

Cytokines mediate and control immune and inflammatory responses. Complex interactions exist between cytokines, inflammation and the adaptive responses in maintaining homeostasis, health, and well being. On-demand, local delivery of anti-inflammatory drug molecules to target tissues provides a means for effective drug dosing while reducing the adverse effects of systemic drug delivery. This work demonstrates a proof-of-concept theranostic approach for inflammation based on analyte-kissing induced signaling, whereby a drug (in this report, aspirin) can be released upon detection of a target level of a proinfammatory cytokine(i.e. Interferon-γ (IFN-γ)) in real time. The structure-switching aptamer based biosensor described here is capable of quantitatively and dynamically detecting IFN-γ both in vitro and in vivo with a sensitivity of 10 pg mL-1. Moreover, the released aspirin triggered by the inflammatory cytokine IFN-γ is able to inhibit inflammation in the inflammatory rat model, and the releasing of aspirin can be quantitatively controlled. Herein research provides a novel and promising strategy for in vivo detection of proinflammatory cytokines and the subsequent therapeutic delivery of anti-inflammatory molecules. This universal theranostic platform is expected to achieve great potentials on personalized medicine towards treatment of various of diseases and health conditions. © 2019, The Authors. Morphological arrangement of two-dimensional aggregated colloid

Two-dimensional aggregate morphologies can be controlled by adjusting the suspending alcohol and the composition of the substrate solution. Water-glycerol substrates were used in these experiments because their high viscosity minimizes vibration in floating 2D aggregates. The polystyrene microspheres, 4.0 µm in diameter, were suspended in alcohol-water solutions at 0.1 vol% solid fraction by adding appropriate amounts of the as-received dispersion to the alcohol. The resulting suspending phase contained 12 vol% water. Methanol and ethanol were used as the suspension medium for the particles. The substrate composition and the suspending medium alcohol were varied, leading to a better understanding of the effect of these variables on 2Daggregate morphology. Light alcohols, methanol and ethanol, formed the two-dimensional(2D) aggregated monolayers at the air-liquid interface. Also, high acidity in the liquid substrate (pH values below 6) was required for formation of 2D aggregates. Similarly, salt additions also induced particle aggregation. The 2D morphologies were classified by their fractal dimension, which increased with the concentration of glycerol and acid in the substrateliquid. In addition, both aggregates and isolated particles in the ethanol system showed anovel circular ring structure, which disappeared over time. Morphology diagrams for the 2D aggregates were developed; these diagrams showed the fractal dimension of the clusteras a function of the formation conditions.

A polyhydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate（PHBV） is mingled with natural rubber latex（R） to develop its mechanical property of the blend. Normally, substantial effects of the PHBV are hard, fragile, and inelastic, whereas the natural rubber is represented itself as very high elastic matter. The mixtures between the PHBV and natural rubber latex（R） are considered in different proportions. The PHBV solutions（w/v） are defined suitability at 1%（P1）, 2%（P2）, and 3%（P3）. Their liquid mixtures of the PHBV to natural rubber latex（P:R） are fabricated the blended films in three different ratios of 2:3, 1:1 and 3:2, respectively. The PHBV blended films are characterized the crystallinity form by x-ray diffractometry（XRD）, which are appeared their identity crystals at 13.30 and 16.68 degree（2θ）. Mechanical characterizations of the blends are examined by a universal testing machine（UTM）. The average elastic moduli of P1, P2, and P3 mixtures are indicated as 773, 955, and 1,007 k Pa, respectively. Their tensile strengths, similarly to elastic moduli, enhance with the PHBV concentrations. The effects of mechanical behaviors and crystallinity reveal that the PHBV blends can be improved their properties by more flexible with natural rubber latex.

This paper proposes a hybrid multilevel topology for Open-End stator Winding (OEW) induction motor drive based on Modular Multilevel Cascade Inverter (MMCI) with Double-Star Chopper-Cells (DSCC) and 2-Level Voltage Source Inverter (2L-VSI). An efficient Voltage Reference Technique is proposed to generate the pole voltages of both inverters. As a result, the DSCC inverter is commanded in high-switching frequency, while the 2L-VSI operates at the fundamental frequency. A voltage-balancing control of the floating DC capacitors of the DSCC is presented to ensure the energy balance. At last, to investigate the proposed system and control strategy, experimental results are presented.

Evaluation of phase envelope on natural gas, condensate and gas hydrate

The experimentally gas hydrate are generated by condensate and natural gas. Natural gas and condensate samples are collected from a gas processing plant where is situated in the northeastern part of Thailand. Physical properties of the API gravity and density of condensate are presented in the range of 55-60° and 0.71-0.76 g/cm3. The chemical compositions of petroleum-field water are analyzed to evaluate the genesis of gas hydrate by experimental procedure. The hydrochemical compositions of petroleum-field waters are mostly the Na-Cl facies. This condition can estimate how the hydrate forms. Phase envelope of condensate is found only one phase which is liquid phase. The liquid fraction is 100% at 15°C and 101.327 kPa, with the critical pressure and temperature of 2,326 kPa and 611.5 K. However, natural gas can be separated in three phases which are vapor, liquid and solid phase with the pressure and temperature at 100 kPa and 274.2 K. The hydrate curves explicit both hydrate zone and nonhydrate zone. Phase envelope of gas hydrate from the phase diagram indicates the hydrate formation. The experimental results of hydrate form can correlate to the hydrate curve. Besides, the important factor of hydrate formation depends on impurity in the petroleum system.

Salinity contamination of brine to natural groundwater affecting from the local salt productions is investigated to assess the distribution of chemical speciation and behaviors related to groundwater flow in Sakon Nakhon Basin, northeast of Thailand. Hydrochemical species are applied to study the variation of chemical stability involved and the source and flow paths of groundwater transporting in salt-dissolution region. Hydraulic head relationship and chemical constituents indicate that groundwater flows from the southern highland to the west-eastern lowland. Groundwater dissolving rock salts and gypsum (or evaporites) flows downward to the lowland following the flow direction influenced by topography, where is located as the salt evaporating fields. Hydrogeological cross-section model is designed for evaluating the salt-dissolution zones depending on the range of the total dissolved solids.

Secondary migration of a petroleum reservoir relates to the petroleum production in the gas production plant of a gas reservoir in the northeast of Thailand. Petroleum migration affects to buoyancy and capillary force with emphasis upon the relationship between condensate and other fluid hydrocarbons. Dynamic migration of petroleum is calculated within a gas reservoir. Pore-throat radius of mudstone is varied in the range of 0.55 to 2.10 μm, and the throat radius of carbonate reservoir rocks is in the variety of 0.49 to 8.65 μm. The capillary pressures and column height are decreasing inversely proportional to the throat radius. Petroleum migration with small throat radius resists the fluid migration in the column due to low buoyancy to generate its movement. The defined criteria for carbonate rocks can correlate to the reservoir rocks and also geological barriers. This outcome is able to conclude for the criteria that the throat radius should be more than 7.65 μm and column height for capillary pressure is less than 9.39 meters. Therefore, this secondary migration is appropriate for the petroleum reservoirs.
