In the realm of research, the global health challenge posed by lung cancer remains pronounced, contributing substantially to annual cancer-related fatalities. The critical imperative lies in the early identification of pulmonary nodules, frequently indicative of impending lung cancer, to enhance patient outcomes and diminish mortality rates. Computed Tomography (CT) imaging stands out as a pivotal diagnostic instrument for the timely detection of these nodules. The swift proliferation of medical imaging data has underscored the pressing necessity for precise and efficient methodologies dedicated to nodule segmentation and measurement. These approaches are crucial in assisting radiologists in their diagnostic and clinical decision-making endeavors. In this study, we introduced a thorough method for analyzing lung nodules, leveraging dataset from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) comprising original CT images and manually annotated ground truth masks obtained with the assistance of radiologists at FEMH. This dataset is utilized for the segmentation of nodules. We employed advanced deep learning models, specifically the U-Net architecture, identified as the optimal model through our training process. We made substantial progress in nodule segmentation, attaining an Intersection over Union (IoU) score of 0.824 and a Dice Coefficient of 0.903 for the FEMH dataset. Furthermore, our performance improved when utilizing the merged dataset comprising FEMH and Luna16, yielding an IoU score of 0.862 and a Dice Coefficient of 0.926. Luna16 has been extensively utilized in numerous studies related to nodule detection and segmentation. In the next phase of the study, the best-performing model from our segmentation phase was utilized to predict nodule masks on the merged dataset. Subsequently, we measured the size of each predicted nodule by comparing it with the size ground truth mask in millimeters. In detail, this study achieved the Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC) at 0.

This study explores the feasibility of deep learning for classifying nodule neoplasms, analyzing their performance on two openly available datasets, LUNGx SPIE, and LIDC-IDRI. These datasets offer valuable diversity in image quantity, quality, and malignancy annotation methodologies, posing a real-world challenge for effective model development. To handle the disparities in these diverse datasets, we aim to develop a robust classification model trained using federated learning. This decentralized approach allows model training across datasets without sharing patient data, preserving privacy and overcoming data fragmentation. Our experiments demonstrate that federated learning enables the development of a robust and superior deep learning model compared to individual models trained on limited data. This combination of deep learning, and federated learning holds immense promise for nodule neoplasm classification and can significantly improve patient care and outcomes. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Agriculture has a lot of relations with SDG from United Nations especially in end hungers and sustainable agriculture. One of factor important in agriculture is weather. Weather prediction is very important in agriculture. Weather greatly influences agricultural yields and the types of crops to be planted. Weather predictions, especially temperature and humidity, can be done using time series data analysis. Current developments in deep learning enable more accurate predictions of temperature and humidity based on time series dataset. Some deep learning models can be used to predict data based on training using time series data. The deep programming models used include Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The Transformer deep learning model, which was first introduced in 2017, is a sequence-to-sequence model which is very suitable for predicting time series data. This paper will explain temperature and humidity prediction using the Transformer deep learning model. Experimental results show that the Transformer model can predict temperature and humidity based on training results using a time series dataset. The accuracy obtained by the Transformer deep learning model is better compared to the LSTM deep learning model as indicated by lower MAE, MSE and RMSE values compared to the LSTM model.

The use of technology nowadays does not feel strange. Everyday people who use technology for their daily needs, starting with each other, seeking knowledge, can even earn income by doing business using technology. Social media is a tool that can be used by people to become with each other by creating, sharing, and exchanging information virtually through a network. However, in the current era, the notion of social media is not only about exchanging information, but also to support business products. The problem is how to compete tightly in this modern era in increasing the selling value of business products. The positive impact of social media for sales in business products are huge such as, increase sales, increase product promotion, greater market distribution. On the other side, the negative impact also takes part such as, the more competitors, the products compete fiercely in the market. This research aims to identify more the impact of social media on sales of business products that focused on business, benefit, and factor. The research method that we used is quantitative which focuses on the number of samples of respondents to support the research results and the results are in the form of a graphic that shows the answers of the respondents to the questionnaire.

Recently, the number of people who have trouble sleeping is on the rise. It results in an increase in the number of car accidents, lower productivity and a higher risk of chronic disease. Advancing wearable and contactless health sensors offers the possibility of daily sleep quality monitoring that can be done on a regular basis by patients in their homes. The goal of this research is to propose the design of an Internet-of-Things (IoT) sleep quality monitoring system that can be integrated with a wearable or contactless sensor. The proposed platform architecture is based on micro-services and is event-driven. The simulation results show that the implementation of the IoT sleep quality monitoring system based on the proposed design decreases the response time by 55.85 per cent while increasing the throughput by 34.76 per cent compared to the traditional approach. On the other hand, the rate of increase in memory usage per instance replication for proposed method is lower than the traditional method. © 2020 IEEE.

In Internet of Things (IoT) applications, data flows are continuous streams of high-dimensional time series that aggregate various data sources. In this context, decision-making processes frequently encompass multiple factors and criteria that demand forecasting these time series. This paper introduces MO-WMVFTS, a novel multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) fuzzy time series (FTS) method for tackling this complex scenario. MO-WMVFTS is a hybrid forecasting method that fuses weighted multivariate FTS (WMVFTS) with embedding transformations, designed for IoT applications. To assess the performance of the proposed method, it was applied to the prediction of energy consumption in smart homes and air quality in smart cities. Here, three real-world datasets are used to assess the validity of our proposed approach, and the results obtained are highly competitive when compared to other existing methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Virtual Reality (VR) has received attention since the trend of the Metaverse came after the pandemic era. Several studies look into how Virtual Reality can be used in higher education. because all the research comes from the education field. However, previous research is too narrow in using technology, but not the area, impact, and challenges of Virtual Reality itself. Therefore, the systematic literature review (SLR) from 2016 to 2022 is discussed in this work to research how discipline, impact, and challenges of Virtual Reality in Higher Education. From 702 papers retrieved, and 214 candidates, to determine the applicability of the study question, 62 papers were chosen. The result shows that most discipline areas are still in computer science, followed by education and public health. Most reports said Virtual Reality is still highly impacted in solving the problem, especially in public health and education. However, there are still some pitfalls: the challenge of using The Head Mounted Device makes Virtual Reality-Induced symptoms and effects (VRISEs) such as Cyber sickness, simulator sickness, Motion sickness, dizziness, and physical discomfort. The implication of the SLR will be considered for academic purposes in preparing for the Metaverse era, especially in higher education. © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid development of technology makes many changes that occur in the community in carrying out daily activities, one of which is the use of online-based applications to support community activities in Jakarta. This study aims to build applications to support community activities in the field of futsal sport, namely ordering Android-based sports arenas. This ordering application consists of Home, Schedule, sparring, profile, info, and ordering. This application makes it easier for people to find information about the sports arena and make it easier to order sports fields anytime, anywhere, so they can increase profits for the sports arena business. This mobile application was applied with android studio and using MySQL for the database. Hopefully, creating this mobile application will reduce the number the crime rate committed by youth and expand their friendship not only around their house or school but for future development it is possible to run a competition that can be held at the provincial level, or at the national level and possibly even at the South East Nation country (ASEAN) level which involving several ASEAN countries. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper discusses the possibility of a better smart city implementation with the Jakarta Information App. Our App will be a one-stop go platform where people could access new information regarding the city live and instantaneously, the information contained is not just from an average news report, but people from social media or communities can also contribute in giving up to date news 24/7. In order to create this app, some processes are done to dive deeper into Jakarta's core infrastructure, the way of living, and the society behind the city. Jakarta Information App's goals are to connect the people everywhere at any time or place;it is not just an average social media app, its main objective is to be some hub for the city, it is an a2-way connected dots, the city with the people and also the reverse. The proposed system has been modeled with a use case diagram to design the business process and using the class diagram to model the database model diagram. Narrowing of the coronary arteries is an important indicator of the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients. Previous research using deep learning to identify narrowed vessels has primarily been based on object detection, but this approach has several problems, such as the inability to detect multivessel narrowing, calculate the actual rate of narrowing, and determine the exact location of occurrence. Therefore, we believe that the determination of narrowing should return to the original method, namely, calculating the maximum and minimum diameters around the vessel. However, to automate this task, a preprocessing step for separating each vessel is needed, especially for the complex structure of the left coronary artery. We designed a deep learning model capable of analyzing an entire coronary angiography (CAG) image for the separation and tracking of vessels. This not only serves as a preprocessing step for calculating narrowing but also allows for the analysis of different vessel flow directions, providing doctors with comprehensive assessment indicators. © 2024 Copyright ACM.
