In this era of digital world information, farmers face challenges about information management of huge data and the complexity of processes in precision farming. The data collection carried out so far can cause several difficulties, especially if the data is needed by the government or academics to support decision-making. Agricultural data collection applications only cover 12% of the market share of Android-based agriculture-based applications. In this study, Tani Milenial application is present as an alternative to support agricultural data collection activities in Indonesia. This application encourages farmers to be active and contribute independently to their role as subjects of agricultural development and is accustomed to digitally recording their agricultural activities. In this developed application system, the community, especially farmers and farmer groups, will find it easier to get information about agricultural potential data around where they carry out agricultural activities and can access this information online. Tani Milenial works as a guide to help farmers and transform agriculture but still have some gaps which should be checked and removed. The data collected can be used by various parties for research and decision-making. The app can be further improved to develop new features related to education, market information, and goods. © 2022 IEEE.

Indonesia is one of the countries in the world that still applies subsidies for fuel oil. By the law, the Indonesian government must ensure the supply and distribution of fuel for all Indonesian people. To implement this policy properly, understanding the pattern of fuel consumption is fundamental. In this study, clustering will be used to determine the categories of districts and cities based on subsidized fuel consumption patterns. Our research used several methods to compare which cluster method is the most optimal;the methods include k-means, Partitioning Around Medoids (PAM), and Clustering Large Applications (CLARA). The results show that k-means is the best clustering method with the highest Dunn index and Silhouette coefficient compared to others. The optimum cluster number we get is two and represents fuel consumption from several districts and cities. Some districts and cities had under-average consumption and needed to be monitored. © (2023), (International Association of Engineers). All Rights Reserved.

As the cost of genetic testing becomes more affordable each year, direct-to-customer (DTC) genetic testing services witness rapid market growth. This has encouraged the development of an easy-to-use website application to optimize potential customers to obtain informed choice regarding the offered DTC genetic testing as well as purchasing information. We present a wireframing process as a part of the agile software development process to build a web portal prototype for an Indonesia-based genetic testing service called DNAku. The approach in building the prototype used in this case is a part of the Agile Software Development Method. In brief, the wireframing stage resulted in this work consists of three main important outcomes. The first one is the use case diagram as a blueprint of this web-based system. A site map is then proposed as an extended version of the use case diagram which visualizes the whole pages with the links. Finally, based on this site map a series of page mock-ups are designed using Hyper Text Marking Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The result of the prototype can be used as the basis for the next development stage, which is the coding stage based on the collected feedback from users. Considering the continuous application development via the wireframing method by taking into account the cycle of feedbacks from involved parties, this approach can strengthen the infrastructure to sustain DTC genetic business model, which has a niche market in Indonesia.

In the context of smart cities where green infras-tructure is incentived, besides important benefits like regulating temperatures and absorbing pollutants among others, tour by urban forests is a way to experience closer contact with nature near of big urban centers. Eventually, visitors get lost, and helping these people with velocity is important to avoid severe incidents. Normally, rescue operations mobilize firefighters, ex-pensive equipment like helicopters and public resources. Following that idea of reducing search time in rescue operations, this paper considers the Data Mule Routing Problem with Limited Autonomy (DMRP-wLA). To find high-quality solutions, this paper proposes an Ant Colony Optimization algorithm enhanced with Reinforcement Learning to create an adaptive decision-making algorithm.

Internet of things (IoT) and Fog computing applications deal with sensitive data and need security tools to be protected against attackers. CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol), combined with DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security), provides security to IoT/Fog applications. However, processing times need to be considered when using this combination due to IoT/Fog environment constraints. Our work presents a CoAP with DTLS application and analyzes the performance of Raspberry Pi 3 during DTLS handshakes, data encryption and data decryption with the most relevant cipher suites. The performance of confirmable and non-confirmable CoAP POST requests is also measured and discussed in our work. We discovered that cipher suites that use RSA as an authentication method on handshake are slightly faster than cipher suites that use ECDSA, while symmetric key encryption with AES256(128)GCM are 40% faster than AES256(128) default modes. Our study also suggests CoAP modifications to obtain higher efficiency, and it might help future IoT/Fog application developers to understand CoAP and DTLS union, providing an application example and performance metrics. © 2020 IEEE.

The ability of robots to imitate human learning strategies-rapidly adapting to new tasks without large datasets-has garnered significant attention in meta-learning. Meta-reinforcement learning seeks to enhance robotic agent flexibility across diverse tasks and contexts, offering promise where single-task learning often fails. Despite advancements like multi-task diffusion models and task-weighted optimization mechanisms, effectively training tasks with varying complexities simultaneously remains a major challenge. This paper introduces a novel meta-reinforcement learning method that addresses this issue by clustering the training tasks of robotic arms based on semantic and trajectory similarities, while leveraging adaptive learning rates and task-specific weights proposed by the multitask optimization techniques. Our approach, TEAM, emphasizes performance-driven semantic clustering, optimizing based on robotic task similarity, complexity, and convergence objectives. We also integrate fast adaptive and multi-task optimization of the diffusion model to enhance computational efficiency and adaptability. More specifically, we introduce a cluster-specific optimization technique, using specialized parameters for each group to allow more refined task handling. The experimental validation demonstrates the effectiveness of this scalable method in improving performance, adaptability, and efficiency in real-world, heterogeneous robotic tasks, further advancing robotic computing in meta-reinforcement learning.

Time Series Data Mining Algorithms towards Scalable and Real-Time Behavior Monitoring

In recent years, there have been unprecedented technological advances in sensor technology, and sensors have become more affordable than ever. Thus, sensor-driven data collection is increasingly becoming an attractive and practical option for researchers around the globe. Such data is typically extracted in the form of time series data, which can be investigated with data mining techniques to summarize behaviors of a range of subjects including humans and animals. While enabling cheap and mass collection of data, continuous sensor data recording results in datasets which are big in size and volume, which are challenging to process and analyze with traditional techniques in a timely manner. Such collected sensor data is typically extracted in the form of time series data. There are two main approaches in the literature, namely, shape-based classification and feature-based classification. Shape-based classification determines the best class according to a distance measure. Feature-based classification, on the other hand, measures properties of the time series and finds the best class according to the set of features defined for the time series. In this dissertation, we demonstrate that neither of the two techniques will dominate for some problems, but that some combination of both might be the best. In other words, on a single problem, it might be possible that one of the techniques is better for one subset of the behaviors, and the other technique is better for another subset of behaviors. We introduce a hybrid algorithm to classify behaviors, using both shape and feature measures, in weakly labeled time series data collected from sensors to quantify specific behaviors performed by the subject. We demonstrate that our algorithm can robustly classify real, noisy, and complex datasets, based on a combination of shape and features, and tested our proposed algorithm on real-world datasets. The popularity of social media amplified the amount of text data that is used to enrich text classification research with machine learning approach. The modernization in weather information system is needed to produce real-time weather information using the involvement of Twitter users. GetOldTweets was used to cover data acquisition from Twitter. Support Vector Machine (SVM) was deployed as a machine learning model for text classification. The result was delivered in Esri Maps features. It facilitated a social sensing for Indonesia weather information system by using Twitter posts from Indonesian users with 93% accuracy. © 2021 IEEE.

The capacity to deceptively move in hilly terrains is fundamental to agents in simulation systems for tactical and strategic military training. Such an ability to deceive the adversary can ensure a relevant advantage by hiding the real goals of a mission. Using pairs of real and deceptive mission goals, this paper investigates the planning of realistic deceptive routes for simulated agents. With real-world terrain elevation maps, it shows how to explore pathfinding algorithms with relevant path-smoothing characteristics (Theta* and WJPS*, contrasting with the standard $A^{*}$ algorithm) in terrains with pronounced relief features. The study analyzes the effects of terrain elevation costs and the representation of relief contour lines on the determination of more realistic deceptive paths. This work also investigates how users can adjust a Last Topographic Deceptive Point ($L D P_{T}$) calculation to enhance the pathfinding algorithm’s ability to produce more deceptively dense and topographically aware routes. Experimental results for different deceptive topographic path planning strategies are evaluated according to statistical models showing that Theta*, despite being slower than the base $A^{*}$ method in most cases, generated smoothed paths while maintaining a similar deception density for the proposed strategies. On the other hand, WJPS outperformed both in execution time for certain strategies while maintaining the smoothed path characteristic and resulting in a path with lower deceptive capacity.

Typical video compression systems consist of two main modules: motion coding and residual coding. This general architecture is adopted by classical coding schemes (such as international standards H.265 and H.266) and deep learning-based coding schemes. We propose a novel B-frame coding architecture based on two-layer Conditional Augmented Normalization Flows (CANF). It has the striking feature of not transmitting any motion information. Our proposed idea of video compression without motion coding offers a new direction for learned video coding. Our base layer is a low-resolution image compressor that replaces the full-resolution motion compressor. The low-resolution coded image is merged with the warped high-resolution images to generate a high-quality image as a conditioning signal for the enhancement-layer image coding in full resolution. One advantage of this architecture is significantly reduced computational complexity due to eliminating the motion information compressor. In addition, we adopt a skip-mode coding technique to reduce the transmitted latent samples. The rate-distortion performance of our scheme is slightly lower than that of the state-of-the-art learned B-frame coding scheme, B-CANF, but outperforms other learned B-frame coding schemes. However, compared to B-CANF, our scheme saves 45% of multiply-accumulate operations (MACs) for encoding and 27% of MACs for decoding. The code is available at https://***.
