Monitoring of vehicle conditions is needed as one of the securities in driving because one of the accident rates is negligence in checking the condition of the vehicle. This study aims to help reduce the level of accidents and increase human awareness for vehicle conditions, especially minibus type vehicles. The system works to provide information on the condition of vehicles sourced from the Engine Control Unit (ECU). ECU data cars are obtained by SNIP traffic broadcast message and ask for data directly at the ECU. The car can provide vehicle information using a Canbus communication protocol through the OBD-II socket. Vehicle information can be seen by users through the website in real time. Based on the evaluation from the user side, this system provides ease of monitoring vehicle conditions because it can be accessed via the internet using various kinds of devices. © 2023 The Authors. N-Linked glycosylation is one of the most essential post-translational modifications of proteins. However, N-glycan structural determination remains challenging because of the small differences in structures between isomers. In this study, we constructed a database containing collision-induced dissociation MSⁿ mass spectra and chromatograms of high-performance liquid chromatography for the rapid identification of high-mannose and paucimannose N-glycan isomers. These N-glycans include isomers by breaking of arbitrary numbers of glycosidic bonds at arbitrary positions of canonical Man₉GlcNAc₂ N-glycans. In addition, some GlcMan_nGlcNAc₂ N-glycan isomers were included in the database. This database is particularly useful for the identification of the N-glycans not in conventional N-glycan standards. This study demonstrated the application of the database to structural assignment for high-mannose N-glycans extracted from bovine whey proteins, soybean proteins, human mammary epithelial cells, and human breast carcinoma cells. We found many N-glycans that are not expected to be generated by conventional biosynthetic pathways of multicellular eukaryotes. © 2024 The Authors. Published by American Chemical Society.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, broadband internet utilization is predicted to continue to grow and experience a significant increase. The pandemic has changed how people work, study, communicate, shop, and carry out many aspects of daily life. Research reported that since 2018, research on broadband internet has continued to increase until now. This quantitative study examines the impact of the four critical variables on the link between attitude, availability, pricing, and quality of service (QoS) on broadband internet customer satisfaction using the Structural Equation Model approach and the Partial Lease Square technique. Three hundred and sixty-one citizen respondents in DKI Jakarta Province were collected using the snowball sampling method facilitated by Google Forms. At the same time, the COVID-19 post-pandemic was still ongoing in Indonesia. Through rigorous statistical analysis, the results show that customer satisfaction with broadband internet services is influenced by all factors, from attitude towards broadband Internet, broadband Internet availability, broadband Internet price, and service quality. The implications of this research are significant for service providers. They provide actionable insights for developing effective strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase broadband internet subscriptions. © 2023 IEEE.

This study presents a more accurate evaluation method for assessing ankle spasticity compared to conventional goniometric techniques by utilizing measurements obtained from Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) and surface electromyography (sEMG) devices. Integrating IMU and EMG sensors provides substantial benefits for accurately determining the range of motion (ROM) associated with spasticity during targeted movements. In this study, the proposed method provides precise measurement and an objective evaluation of onset time detection of antagonistic muscle co-contraction, and accordingly the ROM of the actuated joint. Moreover, the implementation of cost-effective wearable sensors enables the monitoring of muscle spasticity in clinical environments and can be particularly valuable in regions with limited access to experienced therapists, providing a more efficient approach to tracking spasticity levels. © 2024 IEEE.

In car audio competitions, "enthusiast" participants have higher dedication compared to hobbyists. These competitions help manufacturers enhance brand reputation. However, only a few organizers implement information systems in the management, marketing, and organization of competitions, even though adopting appropriate information systems can significantly improve process efficiency. A car audio competition management system can manage participant and vehicle information, competition events, and automatically calculate judging scores, enhancing efficiency and productivity. This study evaluates user acceptance of a car audio competition management system. A sample of 319 participants was obtained from questionnaires. The UTAUT framework, with the addition of the System Quality (SQ) construct from IS Success Model, was employed to understand the user acceptance of the information system. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS to assess the relationships between the constructs. The study found that SQ, Performance Expectancy (PE), and Effort Expectancy positively affect Behavioral Intention (BI), while Facilitating Condition and BI positively affect Use Behavior. Experience and voluntariness moderate various factors affecting BI and UB, with age only moderates the effect of PE factors on BI. In this use case, efforts should prioritize enhancing EE’s impact on BI and BI’s impact on UB.

This research shows that social learning can be used to increase an organization's cybersecurity maturity level. Using a literature study and case study approach. Literature studies are used to identify social learning's key success factors (KSF) and challenges in general. Then, the case study was performed in the context of assessing the maturity level of information security using the NIST Cybersecurity framework at ABC Software House, a small-scale software development company in Indonesia. Assessment activities are performed through FGDs which then also identify the most relevant social learning' KSF to increase the organization's information security maturity level. Next, referring to the selected KSF, a process of identifying and mapping social learning' challenges was carried out. The integration of social learning can help organizations gain better focus and understanding in nontechnical contexts to increase their maturity level. This research highlights that integrating social learning with the NIST cybersecurity framework can provide organizations with better focus and perspective for formulating non-technical solutions. This study also enriches the existing literature on social learning in cybersecurity and offers practical insights for organizations looking to improve their cybersecurity resilience. © 2024 IEEE.

Folding angle and wing flexibility influence the flight performance of origami winged fruits

Winged fruits possess a unique flight mechanism relying on simple geometric structures rather than neuromuscular control. This study proposes an innovative approach using origami techniques to create three-winged model fruits, serving as a proxy for understanding the flight dynamics of natural winged fruits. Paper is employed to simulate inherent wing flexibility, with the option to add plastic frames for rigidity. We comprehensively investigate the free fall motion of both rigid and flexible winged fruits through experimental and numerical analyses. Velocity–time curves reveal a three-stage descent pattern—acceleration, deceleration, and steady states. The overshoot phenomenon is attributed to rapid lift increase due to leading-edge vortices attaching stably to the wings. This insight sheds light on aerodynamics governing fruit flight. Compared with rigid wings, flexible wings exhibit two key properties—slower descent and higher self-orienting capability—that facilitate a more stable and longer-distance dispersal of seeds under crosswind conditions. Our study demonstrates the potential benefits of flexible wings in natural seed distribution. This study advances our understanding of winged fruit flight dynamics, utilizing origami as a powerful tool for biomimetic investigations. The findings have broad implications, from improving aerodynamic designs to developing efficient micro air vehicles and electronic microfliers, and understanding seed dispersal evolution. Intrinsic statistical separation of subpopulations in heterogeneous collective motion via dimensionality reduction

Collective motion of locally interacting agents is found ubiquitously throughout nature. The inability to probe individuals has driven longstanding interest in the development of methods for inferring the underlying interactions. In the context of heterogeneous collectives, where the population consists of individuals driven by different interactions, existing approaches require some knowledge about the heterogeneities or underlying interactions. Here, we investigate the feasibility of identifying the identities in a heterogeneous collective without such prior knowledge. We numerically explore the behavior of a heterogeneous Vicsek model and find sufficiently long trajectories intrinsically cluster in a principal component analysis-based dimensionally reduced model-agnostic description of the data. We identify how heterogeneities in each parameter in the model (interaction radius, noise, population proportions) dictate this clustering. Finally, we show the generality of this phenomenon by finding similar behavior in a heterogeneous D'Orsogna model. Altogether, our results establish and quantify the intrinsic model-agnostic statistical disentanglement of identities in heterogeneous collectives.

This research investigates sentiment analysis of user reviews for the XYZ e-wallet application on the Google Play Store, which currently holds a low rating of 2.7 out of 5. A preliminary study, including a focus group discussion with key stakeholders, revealed that this rating is primarily due to insufficient consideration of user feedback during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This study employs word2vec and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models to analyze user sentiments, using a dataset comprising reviews collected between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. The developed sentiment analysis model achieved an accuracy of 91.40%. Subsequently, the model was applied to predict sentiments from new review data spanning July 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024. The results were visualized using BERTopic for topic modeling and BART for text summarization. Insights from these visualizations informed recommendations for application improvement, particularly addressing frequent issues with balance top-ups that fail to update, which were incorporated into the product backlog to enhance user satisfaction. This study is limited to a single sentiment analysis model, topic modeling technique, and summarization method. Future research should explore applying the proposed model to other applications and evaluating alternative algorithms for improved performance.

This study explores sentiment analysis on Indonesian social media data related to stock investments, focused on GOTO stocks. Using the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) methodology, data was collected from the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) during the period from January 2023 to December 2024, preprocessed, and manually labeled into positive, neutral, and negative categories. A deep learning model, Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), was employed to analyze the data. The model demonstrated strong performance, achieving a weighted average precision, recall, and F1-score of 0.95 on the test set, with precision scores of 0.99 for positive sentiments and recall scores of 0.97 for neutral sentiments. However, the F1-score for negative sentiments was comparatively lower at 0.87, indicating an area for improvement. These results highlight the effectiveness of sentiment analysis for monitoring stock market trends and public opinion. However, the study is limited by its reliance on data from a single platform (Twitter) and the relatively small dataset size. Future research should incorporate data from multiple platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook, and explore alternative models alongside BERT to enhance performance and generalizability.
