This study looks on the factors that influence 452 Indonesian customers' adoption of digital insurance. The study investigates the impact of psychological, social, and technical aspects on adoption intentions using a modified UTAUT2 model. The results highlight the importance of psychological and social factors over technical ones in influencing the adoption of digital insurance. These factors include perceived benefits, perceived risk, price value, social influence, facilitating conditions, trust, behavioral intention, effort expectancy, and performance expectancy. These findings offer the insurance sector invaluable direction for creating digital products that suit consumer preferences and efficient marketing plans. Purposive sampling was used in the data gathering procedure, and Smart PLS 4 was the statistical tool of choice for structural equation modeling, which was used for hypothesis testing. The results indicate that attitude has a major influence on behavioral intention.

A planing hull high-speed ferry with a stepped hull becomes a well-liked mode of water transportation for archipelago countries. On the other hand, the shape of steps on the bottom hull has not been recently taken into explicit consideration regarding the speed requirement and hydrodynamic properties. In this study, the step W shapes, were adopted to find the improved hydrodynamic performance in the planing conditions. To provide a more precise prediction of the pressure, velocity fields, and void fraction, the CFD was applied the Finite Volume Method (FVM) and coupled with Volume of Fluid Method (VOF) to capture air cavity The numerical conditions of the planing hull were trimmed by the stern with 2, and 3 degrees. This study discussed the air cavity that occurred behind the stepped area that can affect the hydrodynamic behaviour. © 2023 by the International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE).

The impingement of fuel sprays on the piston surface significantly affects mixture formation, combustion performance, and pollutant emissions in Direct-Injection Spark-Ignition (DISI) engines. To better understand the fuel adhesion behavior, the fuel adhesion characteristics of fuel spray impinging on the flat wall under cross-flow condition were investigated in this work. Refractive Index Matching (RIM) were employed to observe the propagation of fuel adhesion. Then the area, mass, and thickness of fuel adhesion were evaluated under various cross-flow velocities. Also, the propagation mechanism and lifetime prediction of fuel adhesion under the cross-flow conditions were revealed. The experimental results can provide necessary guidance on the operating conditions of airflow inside the engine. © 2022 by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers All rights reserved.

This study related phenomena to the adoption of digital insurance services in Jakarta. Analysis of 403 respondents reveals that several factors have no significant impact on individual behavioral intention to use digital insurance, although facilitating conditions and performance expectations do not have a significant effect on behavioral intention. This research suggests a unique behavior among digital insurance consumers in Jakarta that requires further understanding. Utilizing SmartPLS 4.0 software for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) analysis, the study delves beyond the technical aspects of using digital insurance applications. It needs to highlight to consider psychological and social factors such as perceived benefit, perceived risk, and trust when designing the method. This research makes a significant contribution to identifying the factors influencing digital insurance adoption in Jakarta. By using the UTAUT2 model with modification, the study successfully identifies a gap between theoretical expectations and the market in Jakarta. These results open avenues for further research to delve deeper into context-specific factors in different Indonesian big cities. Future study suggests that need for developing more comprehensive models to predict consumer behavior in the context of financial technology adoption. Insurance industry can design more targeted strategies to enhance the penetration of digital insurance service in Indonesia.

The rapid growth in the number of marketers has contributed greatly to the increase in company revenue. The marketing channel for insurance products through agencies has consistently reached 92% of Company case total annual revenue. The company's growth was also accompanied by an increase in the number of complaints and a decrease in company efficiency. Changes in regulations that often occur also cause an increase in company operating costs which reduce the company's net profits. The purpose of this study is to design a smart enterprise structural design, specifically for the insurance company, based on the conception of TOGAF. The research stages follow the Togaf framework stages starting from preliminary to Architecture Change Management. It is necessary to design an architecture according to management needs to face the digital transformation wave. The result shows the new smart insurance enterprise architecture which is ready to compete.

This study aims to investigate the adoption of robo-advisors in the Indonesian insurance sector, focusing on key factors influencing their acceptance, such as trust, anxiety, performance expectancy, preference for human advisors, attitude, and perceived privacy. The research employed a quantitative approach using a structural equation modeling (SEM) technique through Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected via a Google Forms survey distributed to 442 valid respondents using purposive sampling, with the study conducted in Jakarta, Indonesia. The findings revealed that performance expectancy, anxiety, preference for human advisors, and perceived privacy significantly impact the intention to use robo-advisors, whereas trust and attitude showed limited influence. The study concludes that while robo-advisors hold potential in enhancing efficiency and personalization, concerns such as user privacy and the need for human interaction remain critical. Insurance companies should prioritize robust data privacy measures and consider hybrid models combining robo-advisors with human advisors to enhance user trust and satisfaction. Implications for practice include fostering user trust through transparent data handling policies and providing educational resources to mitigate technology-related anxiety. Limitations of this research include its focus on respondents in a single geographic region and its reliance on self-reported data, which may introduce biases. Future research should explore the application of robo-advisors in broader insurance markets and examine their long-term impact on user behavior and financial decision-making.

The implementation of blockchain technology in tax administration offers promising improvements in security, transparency, and efficiency. This paper presents the design of a blockchain-based e-Faktur system aimed at addressing the challenges of issuing and verifying tax invoices within Indonesia’s VAT reporting process. Utilizing Hyperledger Fabric, a private permissioned blockchain, integrated with Hyperledger FireFly, this system ensures data immutability, access control, and decentralized transaction processing. The proposed system streamlines the issuance of NSFP and validates invoices while reducing reliance on centralized servers, eliminating single points of failure, and enhancing auditability. Hypothetical cyberattack scenarios were explored to assess the system’s robustness. The results demonstrate that blockchain technology mitigates potential vulnerabilities and improves the resilience of tax reporting systems. The findings highlight the feasibility of blockchain in public tax administration and provide a foundation for future research on large-scale implementations.

Discord has evolved from a gaming-centric communication tool into a platform widely used in education, professional settings, and community building. This systematic literature review explores the critical success factors (CSFs) driving Discord's growth from 2019 to 2024, focusing on ease of use, cross-platform compatibility, customization, and integration with tools like GitHub and YouTube. In education, Discord's real-time and asynchronous communication features enhance student engagement, support remote learning, and foster interactive classrooms. In professional contexts, its adaptability aids project collaboration, workflow efficiency, and remote team management, making it a valuable workplace tool. User satisfaction averages 85%, with a reported 20% increase in workflow efficiency among teams. However, challenges such as information overload and privacy concerns limit its effectiveness, underscoring the need for improved protocols and security. These findings highlight Discord's user-centered design and feature versatility as key success factors. Despite its strengths, research gaps remain regarding its long-term impact on productivity and user satisfaction outside gaming. Addressing these through future studies is crucial for maximizing Discord's potential in reshaping communication, collaboration, and community building.

Purpose: Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) affects more than 100 million adults worldwide and is one of the primary diseases leading to blindness and affecting the eye’s retina. Few papers mention its impact on the anterior segment of the eye. Methods: We present a novel bond graph model of the human eye calibrated with data from the literature to simulate the effects of retinopathy on lens behavior. Through mathematical representation in state space and transfer functions, we simulate the dynamic responses of the physiological and pathological systems. Results: The dynamic response to impulse inputs shows a distinct peak amplitude (0.01 difference) and transient time (0.0001 s) for PDR and Healthy systems at Region B (lens and ciliary muscle). Qualitative increase in ocular vasculature aggravation attenuates PDR dynamic response to unitary step input compared to Healthy (50% decay at 20 days of simulation) at Region B. Conclusions: The model suggests the potential impact of PDR on ciliary muscle behavior, which can have a clinical translation on diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment of the disease. It can be used for future studies on the effects of retinopathy on different ocular regions. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to The Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering.

The rise of music streaming services has led to significant challenges in royalty management, particularly affecting independent musicians who face poor royalty payments and a lack of transparency in royalty calculations. This research explores the application of blockchain technology to address these issues, focusing on its potential to revolutionize royalty management within the music industry. The study provides a conceptual framework for understanding music streaming services, digital music piracy, and royalty transparency, analyzing the impact of blockchain on revenue generation in the Indonesian music industry. Utilizing a literature review, case studies, and a theoretical framework, the research investigates the effectiveness of blockchain in enhancing transparency, and fairness in revenue distribution, and rights management. Through purposive sampling and the analysis of BitTorrent as a case study, the results highlight the trans formative potential of blockchain in the music industry, particularly in addressing the “value gap” in unallocated royalties and improving revenue generation for musicians. The findings underscore the significant implications of blockchain technology for the future of royalty management and the overall music ecosystem.
