This paper shows that the aerodynamic effects can be compensated in a quadrotor system by means of a control allocation approach using neural ***,the system performance can be improved by replacing the classic allocation matrix,without using the aerodynamic inflow equations *** network training is performed offline,which requires low computational *** target system is a Parrot MAMBO drone whose flight control is composed of PD-PID controllers followed by the proposed neural network control allocation *** a quadrotor is particularly susceptible to the aerodynamics effects of interest to this work,because of its small *** compared the mechanical torques commanded by the flight controller,i.e.,the control input,to those actually generated by the actuators and established at the *** was observed that the proposed neural network was able to closely match them,while the classic allocation matrix could not achieve *** allocation error was also determined in both ***,the closed-loop performance also improved with the use of the proposed neural network control allocation,as well as the quality of the thrust and torque signals,in which we perceived a much less noisy behavior.

A vehicle has a license plate and can be identified by the license number attached to the vehicle plate. For detection and recognition, multimedia sensors can be used so that it requires a vehicle tracking application that has a vehicle monitoring function and has implications for various fields. One of them is a multimedia sensor that requires an optimal design and method in the form of the number of multimedia sensors to be used, the placement of the multimedia sensor positions and solutions in the event of a system failure. To achieve multimedia sensor performance, research on multimedia sensors is carried out using a camera type with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology which is similar to a pair of right and left eyes to see an object. The objects detected were 2 cars, where the car passed the camera sensor at a speed of 10-15 km/hour 20 times. Changes in the distance of the vehicle to the camera affect the disparity value and the object's accuracy value, namely and the object's Accuracy value of the minimum disparity value of 6.20×106 of 16.88×109. © 2022 ACM.

This paper considers video and audio transmission in ICN (Information-Centric Networking)/ CCN (ContentCentric Networking), where each intermediate node can cache content. We have proposed LCD with Prob, combining traditional policies: LCD (Leave Copy Down) and probabilistic caching. This paper assumes a case where multiple video and audio streams exist simultaneously. We assess application-level QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience) of video and audio transmission utilizing LCD with Prob. We also add a mechanism for further QoE enhancement called “LCD with Prob deletion.” We assess application-level QoS using a computer simulation with a tree network and QoE by means of a subjective experiment. From the assessment result, we show the effectiveness of LCD with Prob deletion against existing policies.

This research-to-practice paper describes developing and analyzing state-of-the-art smart boots created by combining CAD technology and advanced 3D printing techniques to attract students in bio-engineering and related fields. The primary objective of this innovative immobilization boot is to expedite fracture recovery phases through an ergonomic design to ensure optimal patient comfort during its use. Technological solutions are crucial in aiding the rehabilitation process for fractures caused by falls, heavy lifting, or rotational trauma. However, cost and comfort-related issues persist, underscoring the need for alternative approaches. This research addresses these challenges and delves into the broader implications of fracture treatment, catalyzing future projects and investigations in bioengineering. Additionally, this study serves as an educational tool that sparks the interest of high school and engineering students, promoting multidisciplinary collaboration in innovation. By involving students in specialized courses covering 3D design, human bone anatomy, biology, and materials science, this initiative empowers them to deepen their knowledge and develop new technologies to address bone injury problems. Material analyses include evaluating the type of material depending on the fracture site, such as PLA for printing and cotton and silicone gel for the midsection between the splint and the body. This research aims to advance our understanding of the type of fracture, the methods associated with their treatment, and tissue repair processes during bone callus formation. To summarize, this multidisciplinary approach drives advancements in bio-engineering and related fields, aiming to enhance patient outcomes and inspire students to pursue further research in bio-engineering and related fields. We propose $a$ new probabilistic model building evolutionary algorithm that uses the same type and size of probabilistic model for any binary optimization problems. The proposed method represents a population as a binary matrix for any binary optimization problems and solves a given problem by transforming the population in the form of matrix to better one with 512 production rules of cellular automaton. Concretely, the proposed method builds a probabilistic model for generating new solution candidates while applying the 512 production rules to the matrix representing the population. The probabilistic model consists of the 512 inverse production rules and their application probabilities. The strong point of the proposed method is to be able to transform any binary optimization problems to the same size of 512-bit production rule optimization problem. Since the proposed method treats any binary optimization problems in a unified manner, we can easily explore a robust method for various binary optimization problems as the proposed method with particular configurations. As the first evaluation of the proposed method, we apply the proposed method to the same kind but different sizes of problems. The results show that depending strongly on the bit patterns of the global optima, the proposed method with the same configurations realizes a good scalability of the number of function evaluations required for obtaining near optimum to the problem size growth.

In semiconductor processing to form surface shapes, photolithography and dry etching are used. In this case, the vacuum process requires improvements cost and productivity. We propose a sonic-assisted processing method using the resonance phenomenon of stainless used steel plate diaphragms. This method is characterized by vibrating the diaphragm with sound pressure to vibrate the particles and microfabricate on Cu thin film [1][2]. To evaluate the sonic-assisted processing method, we attempted to process Cu wafers by transmitting vibrations perpendicular to the wafer to a SUS plate diaphragm as a micro-shape transfer process using a micro-pattern pad. As a result, 100 µm length and 20 µm width grooves were formed on the Cu wafer surface.

In this paper, the combination of the tank circuit inductor and the output inductor for 23-GHz LC-VCO has been studied to obtain high output power and low phase noise under low power consumption. To investigate it, the three kinds of transformers were studied. The configurations of the metal usage were M6+M3 vs. M5+M4 (Trans1), M6+M4 vs. M5 (Trans2), and M6 vs. M5 (Trans3), which indicated “tank circuit inductor” vs. “output inductor”. Under the conditions of this study, the inductance of the inductor by a metal stack structure varied significantly, exerting a substantial influence on its Q value. The results showed that the lowest phase noise was −121.4 dBc/Hz at an output power of −3.7 dBm with 9.3 mW power consumption and the FOM was 199.2 dB for VCO with Trans3. During the outbreak of COVID-19, many enterprises massively created Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) for companies to cooperate;however, these accounts lacked efficient management after the epidemic, leading to data leakage or the suffering of malicious attacks. Consequently, several firms have started to build private blockchains for data preservation and verification. Private blockchains are usually built internally in companies;once a firm's internal network opens for massive external logins, many servers and private blockchains cannot work properly to protect data. In general, private blockchains store critical personal information or relevant confidential data;once a private blockchain opens to external access, all the information in the network nodes will be exposed, making private them lose their protection functions. This paper proposes a security mechanism using a private blockchain system based on zero trust architecture. The zero trust architecture tracks every user's network conditions and analyses whether their behaviors are authorized. Additionally, the system utilizes micro-segmentation to divide the private blockchain, preventing the system from malicious attacks. The proposed system employs user multi-factor authentication to identify users, and the zero trust architecture tracks and analyzes if users' behaviors are reasonable. This method effectively ensures corporate networks' security and enables private blockchain to filter legal and authorized users to access and verify. © 2024 Global IT Research Institute - GIRI.

In this paper, we consider multi-view video and audio streaming using MPEG-DASH, which enables to transmit video tailored to the network conditions over HTTP communication. This paper uses HTTP/2 instead of HTTP/1.1, which the authors previously used. HTTP/2 manages a series of request-response exchanges called a stream, which is assigned a unique stream ID. We perform a subjective experiment under various network conditions to evaluate application-level QoS and QoE. From the evaluation results, we investigate the effect of the HTTP/2 stream on the video and audio quality of the users in the multi-view video transmission scenario.

Air-side economizers are increasingly used to take advantage of“free-cooling”in data centers with the intent of reducing the carbon footprint of ***,they can introduce outdoor pollutants to indoor environment of data centers and cause corrosion damage to the information technology *** evaluate the reliability of information technology equipment under various thermal and air-pollution conditions,a mechanistic model based on multi-ion transport and chemical reactions was *** model was used to predict Cu corrosion caused by Cl_(2)-containing pollutant *** also accounted for the effects of temperature(25℃and 28℃),relative humidity(50%,75%,and 95%),and *** also identified higher air temperature as a corrosion barrier and higher relative humidity as a corrosion accelerator,which agreed well with the experimental *** average root mean square error of the prediction was 13.7Å.The model can be used to evaluate the thermal guideline for data centers design and operation when Cl_(2)is present based on pre-established acceptable risk of corrosion in data centers’environment.
