Fe-based nanocrystalline alloys have high magnetic flux density and low loss. So, in this study, the magnetic domain structure of ball-milled magnetic powders of these nanocrystalline alloys was observed using a Kerr effect microscope. The effect of strain removal heat treatment on the magnetic properties of the powder was also investigated by observing and comparing the magnetic domain structure of the milled powder before and after heat treatment during the preparation process of the nanocrystalline milled powder. Our findings showed that the strain removal heat treatment changed the size and shape of the magnetic domains to a simple structure. In addition, the magnetic wall motion was found to occur quickly, resulting in soft magnetic properties. © 2023 IEEE.

Communication is a form of translation that human learns naturally since early childhood. Translating a language to another language has become instrumental when peoples interact with other people who speak a different language. One example of high-impact language translation is translating health protocols from the World Health Organization to many national languages to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. However, the language translation is not an easy computation task when there is a language-resource gap. This paper presents empirical results on the performance of the Long Short-term Memory model as a machine translation involving Bahasa Indonesia and the Sundanese languages. Performance of the Sundanese language to Indonesian language translation is 0.93 average training and validation accuracy and 0.91 average testings BLEU score. Whilst, Indonesian language to Sundanese language translation is 0.92 average training and validation accuracy and 0.88 average testings BLEU score. Both models achieve 0.39 average training loss and 0.38 average validation loss. © 2023 IEEE.

The advancement and application of information technology have provided significant benefits to society. Complete and quality information is needed to achieve efficiency and make it easier for people to find the right and trusted vacation partner. One way that can be done is to create an information system to find vacation companions or travel companions to travel to the same destination at the same time. This study aims to design and build a mobile application. Travemate is a mobile application that helps travelers find the right and trustworthy friends or partners to travel to the same destination. The development of this information system is expected to help the community, especially solo travelers, reduce the time spent looking for the right partner or traveler who meets their criteria. This application is built using a mobile apps platform that can be installed on devices connected to the internet via smartphones and also with the features available on travemate to facilitate and optimize user activities in finding partners for their travels so that with this application, all activities will be easy, fun, and efficient. In the long term, the application programs we create can touch people all over the world, making it easier for people to find friends to travel with. © 2022 IEEE.

Aerial robot technologies, such as drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, are rapidly advancing in various domains. These robots now possess enhanced autonomous flying abilities and use sensor technology, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) system, and cameras to avoid obstacles, automatically land, and track flights. Evolving technologies in airspace management and route optimization ensure that flights are efficient and safe. Aerial robots have a wide range of applications, such as agriculture, disaster response, environmental monitoring, and inspection. These devices excel at precise data collection thanks to their high-resolution cameras and high-precision sensors. Swarm robotics, which allows collaboration between multiple aerial and ground robots, is also progressing. This enables quick coverage of large areas, which benefits disaster relief and land management. In addition, research and development of flying robots modeled after flying animals is underway. The evolution of aerial robots results in their efficient use in a variety of fields and new *** special issue includes the latest research papers and development reports on aerial robotic technology from the aforementioned perspectives. We hope that this special issue will pique researchers’ and engineers’ interest in aerial robots, thereby encouraging additional research and development. Sequential data are available in many domains including weather observation data, stock price, gene sequence, and many others. Sequential data processing is very instrumental as a solution to a variety of downstream tasks in Natural Language Processing such as language translation. Translating a language to another language has become instrumental when peoples interact with other people who speak a different language. However, language translation is not an easy computation task when there is a language-resource gap. This paper presents some empirical results from the exploration of the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), the Long Short-term Memory (LSTM), and the Bidirectional Long Short-term Memory (Bi-LSTM) models as machine translation models from Bahasa Indonesia to the Sundanese language. These empirical results show that the Bi-LSTM achieved the highest performance (0.95 average training accuracy and 0.92 average testings BLEU score) compared to the RNN (0.93 average training accuracy and 0.91 average testings BLEU score), the GRU (0.88 average training accuracy and 0.89 average testings BLEU score), and the LSTM (0.92 average training accuracy and 0.91 average testings BLEU score) models. These results validate some previously reported studies that claim the Bi-LSTM model potentially outperforms the other recurrent neural network-based models when it is used to process sequence datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Despite Indonesia's leading position in palm oil processing, the inaccurate assessment of oil palm fruit maturity poses challenges in determining the optimal harvest timing and maintaining product quality. With advancements in information technology, including image processing and object detection techniques like YOLO and EfficientDet, there is potential for automated and precise identification of palm fruit maturity. To explore this, the authors conducted research to identify the most suitable algorithm for detecting the ripeness of palm oil fruit. The study utilized a dataset consisting of 8299 images with six maturity levels, employing augmentation techniques to increase image variability. Results show that YOLO V8s outperformed EfficientDet Lite 4 in terms of object detection precision, achieving higher mean average precision (mAP) scores. YOLO V8s showed a 4% improvement in mAP@50 and a 16% improvement in mAP@50-95 compared to EfficientDet Lite 4. YOLO V8s achieved a mAP of 0.978 for mAP@50 and 0.765 for mAP@50-95, surpassing EfficientDet Lite 4. However, EfficientDet Lite 4 had an advantage in terms of class accuracy and bounding box placement, as indicated by smaller box loss and cIs- loss values. YOLO V8s also demonstrated better frames per second (FPS) performance, ranging from 10 to 15 FPS, compared to EfficientDet Lite 4. © 2023 IEEE.

Opinion has always affected businesses and individuals especially from the Public. People react through social media and spread it incompletely. The situation was then accepted as public opinion. There are three categories of opinion i.e., positive, negative, and neutral. To investigate public opinion on a particular issue of interest, sentiment analysis might be employed. By offering a solution to the text classification challenge, this experiment focuses on the perception of airline tweets among the American public. We offer a method to classify tweets as positive, negative, or neutral using three machine learning classifiers: Random Forest Classifier, Naive Bayes Classifier, and K-Nearest Neighbors Classifier. We examined the performance of three machine learning classifiers in terms of accuracy, average precision, average recall, and average f-1 score. The results demonstrate that the Random Forest Classifier, which produces 82% accuracy, 80% average precision, 82% average recall, and 80% average f1-score, performs the best among the machine learning classifiers. © 2023 IEEE.

Enhancing Efficiency in Yolov8n for Real-Time Detection of Oil Palm Fruits in Plantations Using Mobileone and Cross-Fusion

Accurate detection of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) ripeness in complex plantation environments is challenging due to occlusion, varying lighting, intricate visual features, and limited computational resources of mobile devices. To address this, a resource-efficient, real-time detection system was developed using an optimized YOLOv8n model. The model integrates MobileOne modules and Cross-Fusion blocks to enhance efficiency without compromising accuracy. Specifically, Conv and C2f modules were replaced with MobileOne modules, reducing parameters by 85% and 81%, respectively. Cross-Fusion improved feature fusion, and its combination with MobileOne (CF-MobileOne) achieved a 51% reduction in parameters while maintaining performance. The dataset comprised images from videos captured in plantations, annotated into five maturity stages: flower, unripe, underripe, ripe, and abnormal, and underwent augmentation with class balancing through manual undersampling. The model outperformed baseline YOLOv8 variants and heavier models like YOLOv9c and Faster R-CNN, achieving an mAP50 of 0.795 and an inference speed of 140.57 FPS. Hyperparameter tuning with a batch size of 64, SGD optimizer, and a learning rate of 0.01 yielded optimal results. Despite challenges in detecting certain classes due to visual similarities and environmental variations, the system effectively enhances productivity and efficiency in precision agriculture for the palm oil industry. © 2024, The Authors. Disability is a complex problem affecting many lives in Indonesia, especially people with hearing impairments. Disability is also a complex phenomenon, starting from the type of disability, degree of disability, and age of persons with disabilities to interactions and environmental impacts on disability. Moreover, there are many testimonies from around the world that people with disabilities are more likely to be weak and less likely to get an education. This paper aims to present a mobile application that offers sign language images and videos of any text in a learning environment that is shaped like a dictionary module to increase their vocabulary, learn a new sign language, and pronounce a word. This mobile application is specially designed for deaf people who have limitations in learning and educational training. This mobile application is equipped with several features such as user registration for the deaf and normal people who like to learn sign language, discussing through forums, using a sign language dictionary containing sign language text and pictures, using interactive learning videos, registering for an event activity, including giving input, and also make a donation. © 2023 IEEE.
