Since ERP solution facilitates has changed in business environment and also has helped in supporting managerial level to make decision. Therefore, ERP system is important strategy for organization's survival. One of the critical issues that affect a successful ERP implementation is the implementation method. In previous research, it showed that many organizations had faced complexity when they were implementing ERP in order to meet their requirements. In other cases, the ERP systems are unable to provide solution which is a simplicity of the necessary business processes. The ERP implementation complexity is one of the factors that lead the failures. Thus, here, we intend to propose an agile approach to reduce complexity and eventually our intention is to improve ERP implementing to become more successful. In this study, we are employing a systematic literature review (SLR) approach to identify the principles factors of the agile methods for ERP implementation. In result of employing this SLR method, we found that agile values and principles are correlated in ERP implementation complexity.

Magnetic Resonance Images of the brain provide detailed anatomical information that allows morphological analysis of the different brain structures. The analysis of the cortical folding patterns variation is inspiring great interest, as this relates to cognitive function. The sulci are a depression in the cerebral cortex and represent ≈ 70% of the cortical surface. The sulcal width, depth and cortical thickness are the most frequent morphological descriptors applied to the sulci. In this work, the 3D tortuosity is proposed as new descriptor to capture information about the twist and turns of the sulci. 1 The 3D tortuosity of the central sulcus of both hemispheres was measured using the Minimal Interval Resonance Imaging in the Alzheimer's Disease (MIRIAD) database, for a set of high-resolution MRI of 66 subjects: 43 patients with Alzheimer Disease (AD) and 23 control subjects. As it is known AD causes significant gray matter loss which cause morphological changes in the cortical structure. It is expected for the tortuosity to capture these changes and serve as a biomarker to differentiate between populations. The result of the Wilcoxon tests show that the tortuosity values of the central sulci are significantly larger for the AD patients (p < 0.05) for the left hemisphere, which is consistent with the hypothesis. The evaluation of the proposed tortuosity measurement of the Central Sulcus as a potential biomarker was performed and the results indicate its effectiveness to extract additional anatomical information and discriminate between AD patients and Controls.

Topological insulating phases are usually found in periodic lattices stemming from collective resonant effects, and it may thus be expected that similar features may be prohibited in thermal diffusion, given its purely dissipative and largely incoherent nature. We report the diffusion-based topological states supported by spatiotemporally-modulated advections stacked over a fluidic surface, thereby imitating a periodic propagating potential in effective thermal lattices. We observe edge and bulk states within purely nontrivial and trivial lattices, respectively. At interfaces between these two types of lattices, the diffusive system exhibits interface states, manifesting inhomogeneous thermal properties on the fluidic surface. Our findings establish a framework for topological diffusion and thermal edge/bulk states, and it may empower a distinct mechanism for flexible manipulation of robust heat and mass transfer. © 2021, CC BY.

We introduce cytoNet, a method to characterize multicellular topology from microscopy images. Accessible through a web-based interface, cytoNet quantifies the spatial relationships in cell communities using principles of graph theory, and evaluates the effect of cell-cell interactions on individual cell phenotypes. We demonstrate cytoNet’s capabilities in two applications relevant to regenerative medicine: quantifying the morphological response of endothelial cells to neurotrophic factors present in the brain after injury, and characterizing cell cycle dynamics of differentiating neural progenitor cells. The framework introduced here can be used to study complex cell communities in a quantitative manner, leading to a deeper understanding of environmental effects on cellular behavior. © 2019, The Authors. The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has an impact on the innovation of new technology that gives benefits for health. One of its latest development is wearable device technology. Nowadays, the growth of this technology market is very positive. But unfortunately the growth of this technology is not followed by the availability of supporting applications that provide maximum benefits for users by utilizing personal health and activity data. This paper is intended to provide a report of our initial research in developing a health assistant solution that utilizes wearable device generated data. The whole research process is executed using Design Thinking approach that put the users as the main consideration. This initial research is started by designing a field research that can potentially gathered users' data generated from wearable device. A series of statistical and machine learning techniques are presented to analyze time series data to create a model. Finally, to implement the model, a mobile application prototype is also proposed. The outcomes from this initial research will be used to develop a fully working solution. © 2018 IEEE.

Histological evidence suggests that the estrous cycle exerts a powerful influence on CA1 neurons in the mammalian hippocampus. Decades have passed since this landmark observation, yet how the estrous cycle shapes dendritic spine dynamics and hippocampal spatial coding in vivo remains a mystery. Here, we used a custom hippocampal microperiscope and two-photon calcium imaging to track CA1 pyramidal neurons in female mice across multiple cycles. Estrous cycle stage had a potent effect on spine dynamics, with spine density peaking during proestrus when estradiol levels are highest. These morphological changes coincided with greater somatodendritic coupling and increased infiltration of back-propagating action potentials into the apical dendrite. Finally, tracking CA1 response properties during navigation revealed greater place field stability during proestrus, evident at both the single-cell and population levels. These findings demonstrate that the estrous cycle drives large-scale structural and functional plasticity in hippocampal neurons essential for learning and memory. © 2025 The Author(s)

With the progress of sensor technologies, there has been an increase in the number of connected computing devices capable of collecting information and interacting with the environment in which they are inserted, forming the basis of the Internet of Things (IoT). Such devices enable the development of new applications capable of making cities more intelligent, providing improvements to society and urban infrastructure. As a result of the interaction between different applications, there is a large set of data, from which useful knowledge can be extracted. An important problem to be faced is the recurrent occurrence of arbovirus outbreaks in big cities with tropical climate. This research proposes an architecture capable of aggregating data from different types of IoT devices, and manipulating them using data analytics techniques to assist the surveillance of arbovirus outbreaks. As an example of case study, we present an exploratory analysis of climatology data and cases of arbovirus diseases in the city of Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil, between the years of 2011 and 2017.

The purpose of this study is to develop conceptual models and validation instruments for the success of e-learning systems in Indonesian universities from factors that influence instructor activity and user motivation. Model development is based on the IS success model of DeLone and Mclean by adding instructor activity and motivational variables based on related literature studies. Evaluation is done by testing the reliability and validity of the instrument. Data collection by distributing instruments online with the snowball method, respondents obtained were 234 used as data analysis with SmartPLS 2.0 software. The results of this study produced a conceptual model consisting of 9 variables and 83 instruments which were validated according to the provisions. From these results, it can be implemented in future research by increasing larger respondents to get results that represent the success of e-learning systems at universities in Indonesia.

The development of Information Technology and Communications facilitate people running their daily lives. One of the important role in development is application development which is the main element in the development of technology. Due to this reason, it is required to have an application that would satisfy the criteria of standard qualities without any tolerance towards error and failure during process. This paper focused on the design of indicator that can be used in measuring qualities in application development, with Student Desk Portal at Bina Nusantara University used as case study is accessed by thousands of students each week. For this reason, the quality of the application is extremely important. The designed indicators are applied in the development of 35 modules in the Student Desk Portal application. The result shows that after applying the designed indicators in the application development, the number of bugs and errors found in the implementation drastically reduced from 43% to 23%. © 2018 The Author(s).
