Miniaturized biosensors and bioanalytical systems promise to revolutionize the field of health care and personalized medicine,in light of sample reduction,speed,and ***,mass transport has generally been recognized as a major limiting factor in the sensitivity and performance of miniaturized sensor platforms in that miniaturization poses penalties on passive transport of biomolecules to the sensor surface due to prolonged diffusion length from the bulk liquid or in the direction of the fluidic ***,for low-abundance protein analysis,sample enrichment is often regarded as the first prerequisite for high-resolution analysis,since chemical amplification methods are not readily available for *** factors pose major challenges for early or acute disease diagnostics and biomarker discovery using micro- or nanoscale sensor *** tackle these challenges,we developed nanofluidic and nanoelectronic platforms for the active transport of target analytes to the sensing *** example,nanoscale molecular dam,using nanoconstriction as field-focusing lens to enhance mass transport,may be used for ultrafast protein enrichment in nanofluidic channels by electrodeless dielectrophoresis [1] under physiological buffer conditions [2-4].On the other hand,sub-10 nm electrode nanogap may be used as an active molecular trap for SERS and tunneling current measurements for low-copy number protein analysis,potentially down to single-molecule *** platforms may open up a simple way for heterogeneous protein analysis.

This paper propose a dynamic personal space which is a region surrounding a person who can feel comfortable psychologically to other person with a personal mobility vehicle in the pedestrian flows. A dynamic personal space is defined considering with a relative velocity and acceleration between them. Therefore, it changes dynamically according to the advance velocity and acceleration of the personal mobility vehicle. Using this idea, a personal mobility vehicle will be able to move in a human coexistence environment without a feeling of oppression on other people. In this paper, we investigate spatial relationship with a personal mobility vehicle experimentally and define a dynamic personal space using these results. For verifying its effectiveness, we implement a drive assistance algorithm, which avoids a dynamic personal space, to our prototype personal mobility vehicle.

Identification of good metaphase spread is an important step in chromosome analysis for genetic disorder detection. In this paper, we propose a rule for chromosome classification to identify good metaphase spreads. The chromosome shapes were classified into four main classes. The first and the second classes refer to individual chromosomes with straight and bended shapes, respectively. The third class is characterized as those chromosomes with overlapping bodies and the forth class is for the non-chromosomal artifacts. Good metaphase spreads should largely contain the first and the second classes while the number of the third class should be kept minimal. Several image parameters were examined and used for creating rule-based classification. The threshold value for each parameter is determined using statistical model. We observed that the empirical probability density function of the parameters can be represented by Gaussian model and, hence, the threshold value can be easily determined. The proposed rules can efficiently and accurately classify the individual chromosome with > 90% accuracy.

AISI H13 steel samples were plasma nitrided to improve their surface hardness using a locally developed combined ***-ionized RFICP plasma was employed in combination with DC glow discharge and thermal emission source to achieve the nitride precipitates in iron-matrix under low sample *** nitride layers over 150 microns could be realized with low RF power of 100 W under the processing time between 1-20 h and low sample temperature of 300℃.The gas mixtures of H2 and N2 were utilized while the processing pressure and the DC bias to the sample were maintained at 0.5 torr and 300 V,*** electron microscope(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),glancing incident angle X-ray diffractometer(GIXD)and Vickers hardness test were employed to characterize the properties of sample *** increases of surface hardness to over 1,000 HV were observed after treatment.

Collaboration is an important issue when developing software, because it involves working together towards a common goal. This work presents OPERAM, a collaborative semantic workspace that allows comparing the modeling performed at earlier stages of software development with JAVA code. OPERAM provides useful information for professionals involved in the task of developing code and even managing the project. OPERAM aims to allow monitoring of the project, helping users to be aware of the context they are working, allowing carry out verification of software development, confronting the modeling performed with source-code produced during the programming phase. We present its main features and architecture. In this paper the main features and architecture of OPERAM are presented, as well as a validation was conducted to prove the effectiveness of OPERAM. The results show the value of the workspace as a tool to support collaboration and software verification.
