This research develops a conceptual model to understand the influence of digitalization on social learning, especially in the context of community empowerment. This model maps the relationship between factors that influence success, challenges faced, and variations in the use of digital platforms in social learning. By using a literature study approach, the research results show that effective communication, collaboration and empowerment are the main keys to the success of social learning in society. Key challenges identified include limited access to information, resource constraints, and digital literacy barriers, all of which require specific strategies to overcome. By examining the relationship between success factors, challenges, and use of digital platforms, this research provides new insights that support the development of more effective strategies for using digital technology to support social learning that leads to community empowerment. This research has great potential to increase people's access to learning opportunities and information, allowing them to be more active in the social learning process.

One of the great important fields of computer vision is semantic segmentation. As for single image semantic segmentation, due to limited available information, it appears poor performance when the occlusion and similar color interference occur, and has difficulty exploiting the rich scene information. In comparison, the special micro-len array structure of light field camera can record multi-view information of the scene, which provides us with a new solution to solve this issue. In this paper, we propose a multi-view semantic information guidance network (MSIGNet) for light field semantic segmentation. It can effectively utilize semantic information from multi-view images to guide pixel feature of center view image. First, we extract feature of each view image and further obtain semantic probability. Then all probabilities are aggregated through a self-adaptive multi-view probability fusion module. Last, the resulting coarse fusion representation interacts with center view feature to obtain the refined segmentation result. The proposed method shows excellent performance on both real-world and synthetic light field datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Quantum Amplitude Estimation (QAE) is an important quantum algorithm that has the potential to quadratically speed up Monte Carlo based *** this paper, we present a variant of the QAE without Phase Estimation Algorithm called Iterative Refinement QAE (IRQAE). IRQAE can refine the current estimation to a more accurate estimation iteratively, hence it can provide an estimation with arbitrary required accuracy ∊. The key idea of IRQAE is to use a rotation gate to create a quantum state for samplings with the current estimation. Using this idea, we show that IRQAE can provide a highly accurate estimation with lower classical computational complexity and with the same quantum computational complexity compared to state-of-the-art QAEs without phase estimation using numerical experiments. We prove that the computational complexity of IRQAE of the quantum part is O(1/∊) and the classical one is O(1/∊). The quantum cost gives a quadratic advantage over that of the classical Monte Carlo simulation.

The cutting simulation of soft tissue is important in virtual *** includes three major challenges in computation:Soft tissue simulation,collision detection,and handling,as well as soft tissue *** order to address the earlier challenges,we propose a virtual cutting system based on the mass-spring *** this system,MSM is utilized to simulate the soft tissue *** stress is introduced to the model for simulating the shrinking effect of soft tissue in ***,a cylinder-based collision detection method is used to supervise the collision between surgical tools and soft ***,we simulate the cutting operation with a three-stage cutting method with swept volume,B´ezier curve,and an algorithm named shortest distance nodes matching *** order to verify the system performance,we carry out three validation experiments on the proposed system:Cutting accuracy experiment,collision detection validation,and practical cutting *** indicate that our system can well perform the shrinking effect of soft tissue in *** system has fast and accurate collision ***,the system can reconstruct smooth incisions vividly.

The purpose of this project is to develop the mobile application, by applied Machine learning, for analyzing, collecting, monitoring, and retrieving information between patients with diabetes especially diabetes type 2 and village public health volunteers and to study the impact of using mobile application based on self-learning and self-management in diabetes information. This is a research and development mobile application and the sample consisted of 30 diabetes patients and 5 village health volunteers participated in this research. The project has demonstrated the effectiveness of using mobile application to support patients and village health volunteers. The results showed that user satisfaction has a high level.

The aim of this paper is to predict the extent to which students will accept robotics technology in future teaching plans. The study involves students engaging in a two-week project-based learning program on robotics technology, after which they will decide whether it is suitable for them. To achieve this, the paper uses several prediction algorithms based on Machine Learning (ML), including Linear Regression (LR), Ridge Regression (RR), Elastic Net (EN) regression, and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) models. The sample group consists of 35 students from STEM high schools in Egypt. The research findings indicate that the students have gained confidence and satisfaction in robotics technology and believe it will have significant value in the future. The prediction results obtained from the ML regression models support these findings. The dataset used in the study includes seven input features and one target output representing the total prediction values of accepting and rejecting robotics technology in STEM schools. The regression models LR, RR, EN, and KNN achieve determination coefficients (R2) of 99.99%, 98.80%,99.20%, and 85.60%, respectively.

Multimodal fake news detection aims to automatically identify real or fake news, thereby mitigating the adverse effects caused by such misinformation. Although prevailing approaches have demonstrated their effectiveness, challenges persist in cross-modal feature fusion and refinement for classification. To address this, we present a residual-aware compensation network with multi-granularity constraints (RaCMC) for fake news detection, that aims to sufficiently interact and fuse cross-modal features while amplifying the differences between real and fake news. First, a multiscale residual-aware compensation module is designed to interact and fuse features at different scales, and ensure both the consistency and exclusivity of feature interaction, thus acquiring high-quality features. Second, a multi-granularity constraints module is implemented to limit the distribution of both the news overall and the image-text pairs within the news, thus amplifying the differences between real and fake news at the news and feature levels. Finally, a dominant feature fusion reasoning module is developed to comprehensively evaluate news authenticity from the perspectives of both consistency and inconsistency. Experiments on three public datasets, including Weibo17, Politifact and GossipCop, reveal the superiority of the proposed method. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). Fair and Verifiable Identity-Based Broadcast Proxy Re-Encryption With Designated Sender Feasible for Medical Internet of Things

With the development of big data, cloud computing is widely used by individual and enterprise users due to its powerful computing and storage capabilities. How to share the encrypted data stored in cloud servers flexibly to a group of users and provide effective access control to the users is a hot topic in current research. For that, this paper proposes fair and verifiable identity-based broadcast proxy re-encryption with designated sender (FV-IBBPRE-DS) for Medical Internet of Things (MIoT), which gives the system model, formal definition, and security model of FV-IBBPRE-DS, and constructs a concrete FV-IBBPRE-DS scheme. The data owner in the FV-IBBPRE-DS scheme is able to designate a sender, which is given the decryption privilege of the encrypted data to a set of receivers. The scheme ensures that the participating entities perform the process of data sharing fairly and are able to verify the consistency of the ciphertexts. The FV-IBBPRE-DS scheme achieves chosen ciphertext attack security. The performance analysis demonstrates that the scheme in this paper has significant advantages in re-encrypted ciphertext generation and decryption phase, and can be applied to resource-constrained MIoT devices.

In agricultural water research, the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as a pivotal approach for large-scale data collection. Water availability in the context of water quality is very important, both for domestic and industrial purposes. For domestic purposes, drinking water and bathing water are separated. Meanwhile, for the palm oil industry, boiler filler is differentiated from additional process water (dilution water). Water quality parameters can be assessed from turbidity and Total Dissolve Solid (TDS). Measurements using measuring instruments separately and repeatedly require significant energy, time, and costs. This research was conducted with the primary objective of presenting a novel method for categorizing water quality with the approach of IoT sensor technology. The research methodology entailed the utilization of an integrated IoT water sensors system in conjunction with manual water categorization. The methods consist of (1) system design, (2) design and installation of sensor and IoT-based microcontrollers, and (3) accuracy and precision testing compared with laboratory measurements. The precision of the integrated IoT water sensors was assessed through a dedicated sensor precision test, resulting in an accuracy rate of 94.4% for the turbidity sensor and 97.5% for the TDS sensor. Notably, this approach successfully discriminated drinking water with valid categorization, while other water types, including groundwater, water with tea, and water with coffee, yielded null categorization results.
