Due to intrinsic properties such as transparency, immutability, decentralization, and cryptographic security, blockchain has emerged as a revolutionary technology. Despite its widespread application, blockchain is not used to store huge data due to the restricted storage capacity offered by each block. Furthermore, because the data contained in a block must be duplicated on many other nodes on the network, storage space is wasted. Off-chain storage is therefore required to store significant volumes of data while preserving the efficiency and performance of the network. Additionally, off-chain solutions such as Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS) would reduce the cost requirements of blockchain nodes as data stored and processed by these nodes would be reduced. Hence, strong decentralized storage is provided by IPFS that is a P2P-based content-addressed file sharing system that uses cryptographic hashes to store data. As a result, by combining blockchain with IPFS, an efficient file sharing system would be created. This paper presents a comprehensive IPFS architecture, a simplified version of this integrated approach, and potential applications that might assist to maximize the worth of both systems. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper describes a study on building a digital twin environment using point cloud data for mobile robots. A digital twin environment for mobile robots is a method to reproduce almost the same environment in a simulation space as if it were a twin, using data from an actual natural environment. In fact, in the development of mobile robots, experiments on public urban area are conducted, however, they are incredibly time-consuming and labor-intensive, so it would be helpful if a realistic simulation environment could be created. This study focuses on building a digital twin environment using point-cloud-data for mobile robots. In order to verify the effectiveness of this approach, we constructed the environment using data from a real mobile robot that has been driven. The navigation of the mobile robot was performed in the constructed simulation environment, and it was possible to realize a navigation run in the driving environment that was almost the same as the run of the real mobile robot.

The metaverse, constructed through digital technology, serves as a virtual realm intertwining with reality. Within this context, the challenge of evaluating data from diverse sources arises, and the application of large-scale group decision-making (LSGDM) methods emerges as a viable solution. Handling incomplete information and reducing dimensionality for large-scale decision-makers (DMs) is crucial in addressing complex decision-making problems. Moreover, addressing missing data is a fundamental and pivotal concern in tackling real-world decision challenges, given the ubiquitous presence of information gaps that cannot be straightforwardly integrated into decision models. Besides, the intricacies of LSGDM amplify this challenge by introducing a wealth of DMs, thereby augmenting the complexity and diversity of decision-related information. This paper proposes an approach to supplement missing data by double-dimensions. This paper explores various facets of similarity relationships within the data to enhance data completeness. Additionally, this paper categorizes DMs into clusters based on their relevance and establishes a two-stage consensus-reaching process (CRP) that takes into account both group sizes and individual consensus contributions. These CRPs play a crucial role in enhancing the overall consistency and consensus within the decision group. Subsequently, this paper applies a robust decision-making method rooted in MULTIMOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis plus the complete MULTIplicative form) to rank decision objects. Finally, this paper employs this proposed methodology in a practical case study that involves evaluating the operational status of a metaverse's urban construction metro system. Following these considerations, a comprehensive stability analysis of relevant parameters is conducted to guarantee the robustness and reliability of the decision-making process. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

ERP stands for enterprise resource planning. It is an information system that is all rolled into one, is very flexible and adaptable, and optimizes business operations while also centralizing all of the company's data. This study aims to empirically investigate the elements that affect users' intention and usage of enterprise resource planning (ERP). This research incorporates self-efficacy into the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2). A quantitative technique was taken, and as a result, 143 replies that might be used were effectively collected. After that, the information was put through a structural equation modelling partial least square (SEM-PLS) analysis. According to the findings of this research, self-efficacy appears to have a significant influence on all endogenous variables (EE, BI, and UB), as indicated by t-values of 3.951, 7.573, and 5.492, respectively. In addition, the analysis also indicated that PE (4.317), EE (2.397), and HM (3.084) are likewise statistically and substantively significant to BI. The result shows that the R2 for BI and UB indicate a moderate impact of 0.603 and 0.521, respectively. It is suggested that the model has valuable applications in academic and real-world contexts. © 2023 IEEE.

Analysis of Eavesdropping Region in Hybrid mmWave-Microwave Wireless Systems

Hybrid communication systems, where millimeter-wave (mmWave) links coexist with microwave links, have been an essential component in the fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks. Nevertheless, the open feature of the wireless medium makes hybrid systems vulnerable to eavesdropping attacks. Eavesdroppers in hybrid communication systems can enhance their attack performance by opportunistically eavesdropping on mmWave or microwave links. This paper, therefore, aims to answer a natural question: in which region do eavesdroppers prefer the mmWave links? To this end, we first formulate this question as an eavesdropping region characterization problem from the physical layer security perspective, where eavesdroppers select the link to eavesdrop based on the ratio between the security performances of the mmWave and microwave links. To model the security performances of both the mmWave and microwave links, we derive closed-form expressions for the secrecy outage probabilities and lower bounds/exact expressions for the secrecy rates of both links. Finally, we provide numerical results to validate our theoretical analysis and also illustrate the mmWave eavesdropping region under various network parameter settings. Heart diseases are commonly diagnosed by using the technique of; angiography which is time consuming procedure. Therefore, researchers have been encouraged to find out the alternatives like; machine learning (ML). In this research work, we present a method to predict the heart disease using correlation based on feature subset selection and sampling. Different ML algorithms have been used in this research to model and cross validate. The dataset consists of 14 features and 1000 records of heart disease patients. Two sampling techniques; Oversampling and Synthetic Minority Optimization Technique (SMOTE) have been used. In case of oversampling, the Random Forest (RF) algorithm achieved highest prediction accuracy i.e., 99.20%. Proposed model with SMOTE improved the prediction accuracy of all algorithms to 100% except k-nn, which is also improved 18.16%. In this study the features selection has been made on the basis of correlation, in future we plan to tap in other feature selection methodologies. Furthermore in this study cross validation have been used to address the issue of over-fitting, this work can be extended by using other techniques like; Federated Learning to address the subjected problem.

Airport runway designs must consider wind climatology to reduce the potential for crosswind and tailwind events that can cause accidents and aircraft delays. The large potential of crosswind and tailwind on a runway at the airport is very detrimental to aircraft passengers and airlines. Therefore, it is necessary to know the potential of crosswind and tailwind on the runway of Soekarno Hatta Airport and find the right parameters for the approximate direction and speed of the wind on the airport runway. Analysis was carried out using the direction and wind speed data from the Soekarno Hatta meteorological station in 2007-2017 to determine the potential for crosswind and tailwind on the runway of Soekarno Hatta airport and run a Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) weather model to determine the parameterization of the right weather model for wind forecast at Soekarno Hatta airport. The highest maximum crosswind component in the 2007-2017 period occurred in August 30.53 knots, while the highest maximum tailwind of 25 knots occurred in January for a 250-degree runway and 24 knots occurred in August for a 070-degree runway. The potential for crosswind and tailwind is different every month. The scheme produces forecasts of wind direction and speed with a strong level of correlation with observations of wind direction and speed from the Soekarno Hatta meteorological station, the correlation value is 0.61. The most significant social impact of plane delays is time loss for passengers. While the economic impact on one of the crosswind events at Soekarno Hatta airport was an economic loss for one airline of US $ 43,392. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, we introduce a novel approach to create distributed representations of words. While existing methods such as Word2Vec learn from unstructured datasets of plain text, our approach leverages the structured contents of Wiktionary. It employs a pre-trained BERT model to obtain representation vectors of individual Wiktionary headwords by text embedding the corresponding contents of Wiktionary entries. We demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms a Word2Vec model in a XABC test result, potentially due to its ability to leverage both the quality of a pre-trained BERT model and expert-moderated Wiktionary, whereas further research is needed to fully understand the effectiveness of our proposed method under various conditions.

Radiology report generation is an essential task in the medical field, which aims to automate the generation of medical terminology descriptions of radiology images. However, this task currently suffers from several problems: 1) existing methods need to manually build knowledge graphs or templates (consuming time and effort) to introduce medical or prior knowledge to assist in report generation; 2) previous models cannot handle the problem of data bias well (anomaly reports and anomaly descriptions make up only a tiny portion of the dataset), causing the models to ignore the learning of anomaly descriptions easily; 3) existing approaches cannot robustly supervise the model, resulting in incomplete and inconsistent reports being generated. To address these issues, we propose a cross-modal interactive memory network based on fine-grained medical feature extraction. In our model, we design a cross-modal interactive memory network to automatically store and remember the required medical text knowledge and use this medical knowledge to help generate reports. Furthermore, we design an abnormal medical knowledge enhancement module to enhance the learning of abnormal fine-grained knowledge through the interaction of disease topics and their states to interact with text features. In addition, we design a cross-modal joint semantic loss unit to reduce semantic differences between different features and improve the visual representation ability of the model. We experimented and evaluated our model on MIMIC-CXR and IU-Xray datasets to compare with other baseline models.

Document-level entity relation extraction is an important task in the field of natural language processing, which plays an important role in semantic understanding and knowledge graph construction. However, existing deep neural networks and graph neural networks models are limited by their performance and parameters number, which can not capture global semantics and have poor generalization ability. Furthermore, existing methods employing large language model for entity relation extraction do not establish good relationships among multi-tasks of entity relation extraction task, resulting in more information can not be effectively shared and transmitted between tasks. In addition, previous approaches can not effectively eliminate false entities and relationships. To solve these problems, we propose an entity relation extraction framework based on large language model and multi-tasks iterative prompt engineering. In our model, we design an iterative prompt engineering, which can better establish the relationship among multi-tasks, and ensure every task to obtain the optimal results. Moreover, we design semantic merging, group disambiguation and self-verification modules to eliminate the false entity relations and noise nodes. Additionally, we design summary prompts to provide sufficient global semantics for better text segmentation. Finally, we evaluated our model on wikiann, wikineural, ACE2005, CoNLL2003, CoNLL2004, and SciERC datasets and compared it with other baseline models.
