Pest management plays a pivotal role in ensuring sustainable crop productivity. Integrated Pest Management Systems (IPMS) gaining importance due to the need for more sustainable agricultural methods. However, implementing standard pest management practices on a large scale is challenging due to their time-consuming and labor-intensive nature. In order to enhance pest management efficiency in date palm cultivation, this research paper proposes an Artificial Intelligence-driven Pest Prediction System, explicitly targeting the Parlatoria Date Scale (PDS), a significant pest affecting date palms. The approach leverages climatological factors to predict the occurrence of PDS nymphs and adult females. To address the challenges of data scarcity and imbalance, the Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling for Regression using Gaussian Noise (SMOGN) method is employed, which significantly enhances the dataset's utility for training machine learning models. The interpretability of these models is further enhanced using SHAP values, providing insights into the driving factors behind the predictions and facilitating trust and understanding in the AI-driven decision-making process. The Stacking-based Weighted Ensemble model stands out among the evaluated ensemble-based methods, achieving R2 scores of 77%, 88%, and 90% for predicting PDS nymphs, adult females, and total population incidence, respectively. This research highlights the potential of AI in revolutionizing Date Palm Integrated Pest Management Systems (IPMS). It emphasizes the importance of model interpretability in adopting AI solutions to enhance the precision and effectiveness of pest management practices, thereby promoting a more sustainable agricultural system. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) has taken on increased importance in today’s interconnected world, but it also faces new obstacles. As patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets are increasingly represented digitally, they expose their owners to new risks in the form of cyberattacks. This paper explains why it’s crucial to use cutting-edge cybersecurity precautions and techniques when protecting intellectual property online. This book begins with a discussion of the current digital dangers to IPR, such as hacking, phishing, and unauthorized duplication and distribution, and then moves on to discuss the most effective modern cybersecurity strategies for mitigating these risks. Encryption, multi-factor authentication, IP management via blockchain, and AI-driven threat detection are just some of the methods investigated. The article also highlights the importance of cross-border cooperation, legal frameworks, and policies in bolstering IPR protection in the digital sphere. A comprehensive paradigm for protecting intellectual property rights in the digital age can be reached through the integration of technical cybersecurity measures with strong legislative and policy-driven tactics. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

information systems and technology have an important role in building the Company's competitive advantage in facing the Industrial Era 4.0. Strategic information System Planning (SISP) helps companies formulate reliable information systems that are aligned with business strategies. The academic world should contribute in this regard, but currently, the amount of research related to SISP is very limited. This research is a systematic literature review, which aims to find out more about SISP research trends, research motivations and backgrounds, industries that have been handled, and the methods used in developing SISP. This research is expected to be a trigger for the emergence of new research to support the successful development of SISP in companies in various industries. The results of this research show that several topics are widely researched and need to be improved in the future, namely the alignment of IS strategies with business strategies, the development of specific SISPs in various industries, and the reliability of IS strategies by considering the application of the latest information technology, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data, augmented reality, Internet of Things, and cloud computing. In addition, it is also necessary to develop a SISP framework that is more accommodating to changes in the business environment that is increasingly fast, agile, and collaborative, which includes aspects of business architecture, data/information architecture, technology architecture, information system security, governance, and human resources. © 2022 IEEE.

Many real-world data sets contain a temporal component or include transitions from state to state. For exploratory data analysis, we can present these high-dimensional data sets in two-dimensional maps, using embeddings of data objects under exploration and representing their temporal relations with directed edges. Most existing dimensionality reduction techniques, such as t-SNE and UMAP, disregard the temporal or relational nature of the data during embedding construction, leading to cluttered visualizations obscuring potentially interesting temporal patterns. To address this issue, we introduce Directional Coherence Loss (DCL), a differentiable loss function that we can incorporate into existing dimensionality reduction techniques. We have designed DCL to highlight the temporal aspects of the data, revealing temporal patterns that might otherwise remain unnoticed. By encouraging local directional coherence of the directed edges, the DCL produces more temporally-meaningful and less-cluttered visualizations. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach on a real-world multivariate time-series data set tracking the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic in Slovenia. We show that incorporating the DCL into the t-SNE algorithm elucidates the time progression of the pandemic in the embedding and reveals interesting cyclical patterns otherwise hidden in standard embeddings. © 2023, The Author(s).

A Clustering-Aided Optimization Algorithm for Antenna Beamforming in Multi-Cell HAPS Systems

High altitude platform station (HAPS) systems have emerged as a key solution to address the increasing networking demands of the Internet of Things (IoT), providing wide-area coverage, low latency, enhanced network resilience, and cost-effective service delivery, particularly in remote regions. Given that the continuous movement of HAPS and the inherent mobility of user equipments (UEs) often lead to low and unevenly distributed UE throughput, it is crucial for HAPS systems to dynamically control the antenna using beamforming techniques. However, the current reactive approaches to dynamic control fail to effectively minimize the number of low throughput UEs and achieve low time complexity. To overcome these challenges, we propose a clustering-aided particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to determine the antenna parameters, enabling HAPS to configure multiple cells and dynamically control beams based on UE distribution. This algorithm leverages UE clustering information to redefine the search space, reducing the complexity while enhancing the ability to find the global optimum. Specifically, we propose a novel regulated K-means algorithm that groups UEs into appropriately balanced clusters, precisely reducing the search space for global optimization. Simulations using real-world UE distributions demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms conventional approaches in reducing low throughput UEs and providing balanced throughput distribution, while maintaining low computational complexity. © 2014 IEEE.

This research explores multiple varieties of effective and child-friendly learning approaches for mathematics and memorization among young children in today's increasingly digital age considering their specific developmental needs. This type of approach includes in-person teaching, engaging online videos, interactive textbooks, and innovative educational games. This research employs a detailed comparative analysis, considering both ‘User Experience’ and measurable learning outcome factors, and spans a range of age groups from preschoolers to elementary school children. Through highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each method, this research aims to inspire the adoption of efficient, child-centric, and novel teaching techniques by educators and institutions, thereby advancing the quality of education in Indonesia. The results show that using serious game in education presents high usefulness score alongside positive user experience, suggesting its viability for educational purposes.

Lampung Province is one of the regions with the highest cocoa production, but many factors can interfere with cocoa production. One of them is the factor of pests and diseases of cocoa that cannot be identified and prevented beforehand. An expert system is a system that adopts expert knowledge or experts in a particular field. However, the diagnosis usually contains uncertainty in the form of answers and statements used. Certainty Factor (CF) algorithm, is one of the algorithms that is able to overcome uncertainty by providing a value for the level of trust from experts and users. However, because the CF value is based on the level of confidence in the symptoms experienced by the user, it creates a problem, namely the consistency of the user's answers. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the CF algorithm, to overcome the inconsistency of user answers through the use of Consistency Ratio (CR). Through the use of CR, inconsistencies are overcome through comparisons between the consistency index and the random index. Based on the results of the accuracy test, the proposed model is able to produce an accuracy rate of 86.67% in the diagnosis of pests and diseases on cocoa plants. © 2022 IEEE.

The healthcare industry uses AI, because it is more efficient. In Indonesia, the accuracy of measurements and transmission of children's growth and development is often wrong. Many small hospitals usually don't have length measuring equipment, so the results are inaccurate. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the stunting prevention program in Indonesia using an information system. The methodology used is a qualitative method, to conduct subjective research and analysis. The results of the research are to improve the website/mobile application information system which can display a child's growth and development history and simple educational information related to nutrition. Digital recording methods can speed up the process of updating data with a central database in real time. The value of this research is to reach the public to utilize technology and obtain personalized and interactive information directly to individuals. The theoretical implications of this research focus on information dissemination and understanding how chatbots influence knowledge acquisition and behavior change in the context of stunting prevention can contribute to advancing these theories in the field of public health. Managerial implications can provide cost effectiveness as Chatbots offer potentially cost-effective solutions and data-driven insights where managers can leverage chatbot analytics. © 2024 IEEE.

Companies or organizations usually use key performance indicators (KPI) as indicators to determine their performance. The company's performance achievements are reflected in the set indicators that will describe the overall performance, as well as higher education institutions can also set key performance indicators, to see their performance achievements. The use of e-learning as a tool to support teaching and learning processes to be more effective and efficient is an example of which performance needs to be measured. This article discusses how the process of developing key performance indicators is carried out through the stages of designing questionnaires and distributing questionnaires to students, data is processed using the method of factor analysis to obtain the main indicators determining performance and the method of regression analysis is also used to build performance models. obtain KPI determinants, and then develop KPI models. The results show that there are indicators of sharing knowledge, managing knowledge, understanding knowledge, and utilization knowledge as performance measurement indicators. © 2023 IEEE.

Relationship with customers is one of the most crucial factors in business continuity and development. Many current businesses have started delving into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to establish and maintain their sales and customer relationships. This research was conducted on one retail company that implements CRM but experiencing a gap in their unit sales performance between their targeted sales and the realization. This study aims to analyze the gaps causing factors using Factor Analysis Method, constructing a suitable regression model, and proposing the company's necessary strategy. The research was conducted quantitatively using a questionnaire from 264 respondents. The result of this study showed that there are five causing factors which are CRM Reliability, Underutilization of CRM, CRM Capability, CRM Unpreparedness, and Customer Relation Quality, as well as forming a regression model of the company's CRM performance. © 2023 IEEE.
